He just was told to say this, he could not say it on his own

Oh boy, Baby Ping Ping must have had a little foot stomping hissy fit. Give him a binky and change is diaper.

Time for the US to start having military units rotate through Taiwan openly to conduct joint training, and invite their Air Force to Red Flag exercises. The US should also close all of its consulates in China, greatly reduce their staff at the Embassy in Beijing and send all dependents home. Make Beijing a one year unaccompanied hardship tour with staff only allowed carry on bags and one checked bag in case they have to leave in a hurry. They order the Chinese to do the same and tell US businesses operating in China to have a plan to conclude their business there rapidly if necessary.

Not sure why China gets away with threats and why everyone is afraid of China.

Time to call John Rambo to save the world!

When he's talking, I'm sure this guy's chin flops up and down like in that movie

"The U.S. violated the promises made when China and the U.S. established diplomatic relations, condoned and encouraged 'Taiwan independence' forces, and tried to distort and hollow out the one-China principle," Wang Yi said."

No Mr Wang. It is the People's Republic of China that has unilaterally chosen to break the "status quo" through military buildup, territorial expansion, and out of control nationalism.

China's foreign minister said Thursday the United States will "face an unbearable price" over its actions towards the self-ruled island of Taiwan, in Beijing's latest threat over the flashpoint island.

"Unbearable price" - must mean they're going to increase prices for making Trump's clothing line on sale at Trumpstore.com...

Xi's long-term business partner and BFF won't be happy with that....

So much for a kinder and gentler China that the world can look up to. Instead, we see a country where its own power seems to have gone straight to its head. What's to come in the future regarding China is anybody's guess, but it doesn't look good.

There is only one China - the CCP in Beijing must submit to Taipei.

Why don’t they just let Taiwan decide what they want. Seems better than a nuclear war.

+1. but imagine the egg on ccp's face if that were to happen - people in the mainland would start getting ideas that they the people are able to decide their own country's future.

That is why Taiwan is such a thorn in their side... can't have a prosperous, democratic alternative to the CCP empire can we.

In other don’t be thin-skinned when it comes to the former President, but when it comes to the current President, nope

Don’t be thin-skinned. Accept jokes at your own expense and at the expense of whatever political party or leader you support.

Nothing to do with left or right. In the 2020 debates, Trump having a go at Biden for living in a basement was quite funny as was Biden bringing up Trump’s injecting disinfectant comments.

Partisanship rots the mind. You can’t think straight when you are infected with it. Cultish behaviour.

The US should formally recognize Taiwan diplomatically. Other nations such as Japan would immediately follow suit.

The current situation with Communist China constantly making threats, and exhibiting warlike behaviour daily, cannot continue.

China talks a good game, but what are they going to do about it when Taiwan is recognized as an independent democratic nation? Gutless cowards that they are.

ALL trade with China should cease. Starve the Chinese of resources and all foreign money. Do everything necessary to hurt them.

we need to invest in democracies and turn our economies off China ASAP. This also means addressing the protectionism in trade so that we are all working in competition but working together to raise each other up instead of becoming more insular. Our strength should be with each other doing what we can

Buy American should be really Buy from Democracies. It's not as catchy or nationalistic but it is the real solution to recognize world democracies and their economies as partners and never ever again supporting dictatorships like China and Russia and others. The bare minimum requirement must be that they are a democracy.
