Time for the US to start having military units rotate through Taiwan openly to conduct joint training, and invite their Air Force to Red Flag exercises. The US should also close all of its consulates in China, greatly reduce their staff at the Embassy in Beijing and send all dependents home. Make Beijing a one year unaccompanied hardship tour with staff only allowed carry on bags and one checked bag in case they have to leave in a hurry. They order the Chinese to do the same and tell US businesses operating in China to have a plan to conclude their business there rapidly if necessary.

Not sure why China gets away with threats and why everyone is afraid of China.

That is why Taiwan is such a thorn in their side... can't have a prosperous, democratic alternative to the CCP empire can we.

ALL trade with China should cease. Starve the Chinese of resources and all foreign money. Do everything necessary to hurt them.

we need to invest in democracies and turn our economies off China ASAP. This also means addressing the protectionism in trade so that we are all working in competition but working together to raise each other up instead of becoming more insular. Our strength should be with each other doing what we can

Buy American should be really Buy from Democracies. It's not as catchy or nationalistic but it is the real solution to recognize world democracies and their economies as partners and never ever again supporting dictatorships like China and Russia and others. The bare minimum requirement must be that they are a democracy.
