This is result of constant mistreating of Uyghur people in that region, taking their lands under the pretext of developing China, and all other thing aimed in repression of Uyghur nation, and also, Han-people are encouraged by the Chinese government to migrate in the regions where Uyghur are majority, and in that way trying to change the ethnic composition in those regions, simple to say, they want to make Uyghur nation even minority in region where they live for thousands of years,in that way making the question of Uyghur people to disappear.

Violence is never going to work for the Uighurs.

The Chinese are doing exactly what Japan did with Manchuria in the 1930s.

except with 1/1000th of the civilian casualties. the 1930s occupation of manchuria was much more brutal. also, it's different since xinjiang is technically a part of china.

Really? Please show me the source of your "civilian casualties" in the invasion of Manchuria. The Japanse invasion of Manchuria was conducted by the IJA without sanction from the Japanese government. Whereas Chinese domination of the Uighurs is done by the Chinese government. Another difference is that Japan built up Manchuria's infrastructure, whereas China hasn't done much. But the main similaritiy is that the local people are oppressed while China keeps sending in more and more ethnically Chinese "Han" migrants.

IRA vs Britain, Russia vs Chechens, Pahlavi/CIA dynasty vs people, Romanov vs Bolshevists, etc. it's a revolution that is slowly taking place. It's going to be long and countless lives will be taken through clash. Another chapter in the beginning of the end of the PRC dynasty.

Yeah, Burma should be grateful for Japan's contribution to its rail infrastucture too!
That's right, apart from maybe all the new roads. Don't forget the new airport down south in Lhasa, or railways to Xinjiang and Tibet. I wonder whether the Uighurs really are financially worse off than decades ago.
Well I don't recall the Ainus setting off bombs or stabbing innocent people when their land was grabbed. Where are they now? The Uighur and Tibetan languages and cultures are still very much alive. Hell, they're not even obliged to limit the number of kids in their households, unlike the Han.
Nenad:
See above. Hokkaido, Ryukyu. And don't me get started on countries invaded by white Europeans. Any Romas in your country?
It's almost as if you two are gloating over the murder of innocent people.

So let me get this straight, when Muslim terrorists strike anywhere else in the world it is all about the evil Muslim radicals, but when they do it in China it is all about the evil Chinese government...
... glad to see that the media has so nicely established a hierarchy of evil, with China apparently ranking above terrorists. I guess we all know who the U.S. is going to invade next.

Nobody gave a damn about the Uighurs or Tibetans before China opened up after Mao kicked the bucket. Hell, I bet most people didn't even know what 'Uighur' meant. But when a country starts to prosper, others see the country as big competition to their monopoly. Watch out India - if or when you become a superpower, so-called allies now will start to find all sorts of faults with you.
