I find it hilarious that a Chinese person is complaining about poor customer service.

The system that allowed them to afford supercars has bitten them in the arse. How sweet.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

First of all, a Maserati QP is NOT a supercar by anyone's imagination. Secondly, regardless of his wealth or Chinese market mark-up, Wang is an idiot if he paid $420K for a QP which should cost about a third of what he paid. And finally, how is this a protest against Maserati when the poor customer service he received was most likely due to Chinese employees at the dealership? IMO his 'protest' is more damning of Chinese workers and their dismal customer service abilities than the parent Italian company.

The Chinese should be looking up the definition of Karma. Sure it was all fine when their workers and companies were making crappy products and selling them as great products to the rest of the world but imagine being burned by your own countrymen and their crappy work ethics and skill set. Pot calling the kettle black, suck it up buttercup!!!

@Elbuda Mexicano - the car is made in Italy, but the service is run in China, with China way of doing business, which is still higher standard then Mexico.

If he wanted a car that was reliable, cheap to repair and has competent servicing facilities he should a bought a Japanese car.

But he'd have smashed that one as well, but for other reasons.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Tsk, tsk, tsk --- that's taking affluence too far. He should have smashed it himself instead of paying to have it done.

What a brilliant idea! Stimulate the economy by recycling and purchasing a new vehicle. Win-win.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Why is it I never see job ads like that? Sounds like an awesome job. Even if it pays poorly.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I can see where a Chinese company would substitue used parts for new. Happens in the US all the time if you're not with a reputable repair shop. It seems like a waste of a perfectly good car, but it's his money.

No Maserati costs that much. Typical Chinese spivviness and poor service.

Wrong.

The car isn't the problem, but rather the nouveau-riche jackarse owner. The idiot is now out one nice car. He should go back to driving a rickshaw!

This all assumes the Italian automaker gives a damn. If they really cared about what people thought they would not sell a car for more than ten times the cost of manufacture and delivery.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Maybe he will buy a $ million car next time? Chinese rich men can do that.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

"Man hires men to smash his Maserati in protest". I bet that taught them a lesson.

This man sounds like a petulant kid.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Maserati have never really been know for being reliable.

But I can't see how he can have an issue with the "Italian company" when all of the shonky work was done by his own contrymen in "true to form" style.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The car owner, identified only by his surname Wang

I think his last name is Ker. Reminds me of a Ricky Lee Song lyrick "We got even with the circus, we bought tickets but we didn't go in".

Nailed it...........If he had the money to destroy it he should of have the money send out for real mechanics.

Imagine if he hired some real talent rather than the local pig farmer to try and fix it.

Hey, he could have ask for some quality mechanics from Japan to fix his problem, would have gotten fixed the first time.

Chap's a complete nutter if you ask me.

@KnowBetter Chinese produced products are crap becuase buyers from your contry pay next to nothing to have it produced and then sell it to you in order to make the most for your own country. Chinese should gt smart and stop producing for others and start to be a bit more like us, produce high value products.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

laughs it will not take too much to fix it. baka chinese otoko!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I wish I had the $$ to do the same but with a new FORD 100 truck my dad once bought, what a piece of crap it was! So just to not sound like an anti Italian car hater with Freudian issues about the US Navy?? Many American cars and trucks are also crap. Time to get rich Chinese to help us out??

Italian cars have a bad reputation for reliability. Maserati is owned by Fiat, which stands for Fix it again Tony.

he should've known that italian cars are of sh8tty quality. they are worse than chrysler. his rickshaw is likely made by Fiat too.

my kind of statement ... all social deprivation, you can't do that because it's wrong and what about the children set aside i think that's a guy i could talk to lol. I'd also jump at the chance to put a sledgehammer to a half a million dollar car for kicks, he wouldn't even have to pay me

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Yeah, smash up your over-priced car. That'll learn the maker... Wealthy idiot. Try a Rolls next time.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Everyone KNOWS even a FERRARI, though beautiful, has a crap of reputation when it comes to SIMPLE things, like keeping you DRY in a rain storm, but I guess our Italian amigos do not worry about such things. So yes, buy proper German or American sports cars and you should be ok, as for me, give me a CORVET any day! CIAO BELO!

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Elbuda Mexicano

...as for me, give me a CORVET any day!

Are you sure you want to be discussing your Freudian issues in an open forum like this?...

Elbuda Mexicano

So just to not sound like an anti Italian car hater with Freudian issues about the US Navy??

You do know the common saying that Corvette owners have an inferiority complex, particularly about (the size of) their manhood, and are compensating for it with their car? You had said that the 'Vette was your car of choice so I was merely making a joke about it. Nothing to do with the U.S. Navy...

BRAVO!!!

They always blame the car when they grind the gears into dust.

But he has no fears, he is not an average pig farmer, he is most likely the son of a Communist party elite, you have to be if you want to make any money there.

Corruption is the rule and not the exception.

Well, if the Italians are thinking they will get away with the same crappy service they do back in Italy, but in CHINA, well, well, well, I guess the Italians will get a bit of CULTURE SHOCK and start to take their CHINESE customers just a bit more seriously!! I hope!

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

He should buy German Sport Car instead like Porsche or American Ford Mustang or GM Camaro instead.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Japanese and US automakers do not make luxury cars for Chinese billionaires and multi millionaires. GM and Ford have auto plants in USA to sell to less income people. A sport car for him? He probably use one or two chauffeurs to ride in his limo.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Why wouldn't this guy stick with his nations car? Nissan skyline probably with money invested into it would be great competition. I have a 09 lancer gts, I love it great fuel economy 7.5l/100km, great service they fix everything for free, unless I mislead them into thinking there was a problem when there wasn't. Japanese cars are the best in the world, the technology that comes from this country is nothing less then amazing. I also live in Canada, and I have been through all the used cars and the new one's, foreign domestic. You shouldn't have problems with a world top luxury car after you work you whole life to own one, I couldn't even imagine, I would have blown the thing up.
