China makes everything, including the end of the world...

Can you use your powers to tell me whether I will need an umbrella tomorrow? Nobody knows the future - too many variables.

You will not need an umbrella tomorrow.

Weather can go through four seasons in ten minutes in many places. Military buildups are much easier to detect and outcomes to predict than tomorrows weather in a place you didn't bother to mention. I suggest you check your local weather forecast to see if you need an umbrella.

Just leave me alone, I'm quite happy with no PRC or USA I neither want or welcome their games. Both of them need to get a life rather than looking for an excuse to take lives.

Let's see. If the US suddenly vanishes into thin air, China will take Taiwan and Vietnam right away. After that, there are plenty other places to grab. Even if the US doesn't exist the world, the world still needs an overlord. I wonder who that would be and how the world will fare. You have a bunch of countries wanting to be big brother, so they'll go at it to show who is boss. World of warlords. Fun fun.

It would be remarkable if the Chinese military didn't regard the US as the biggest threat to peace and security globally, given that public opinion polls shows the majority of the population in just about every country regards the US as the biggest threat peace and security.

PS when was the last time time the US military attacked a country who's military was equipped mostly domestically rather than relying on the four generations old 'surpluses' of others, or the limited supply from abroad?

Oh, yeah, and they're not doing so well against even the third or fourth world countries tthey've openly gone to war with, even with allies along for the attack.

Its not the amount of money your accountant says you have that makes you dominant at the poker table, its how much of it you can shake loose and put on the table that counts, and the same sort of thing applies in wars.

China has nothing that can withstand the american war machine, especially when there is a president in the white house thats not afraid to go all in now!

Under normal circumstances that would be true, But we currently have a President who thinks he knows more than the military who run that war machine.

Pot calling kettle

Trump will be voted out on November the 3rd and even in he isnt he is the self proclaimed President that keeps America out of wars.

Within 10 years time China will match or even outmatch US forces.

Thanks, China, we'll take it under advisement.

> China has also built a considerable arsenal of land-based ballistic and cruise missiles and has one of the world’s largest forces of advanced long-range surface-to-air systems, the report said.

Yet, it is absolutely no match for the US with bases that encircle the world.

China has nowhere the strategic capability that the US has.

Today’s prize for stating the obvious goes to The Chinese military!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

That's because only the US military have prevented them from completely owning the entire South China sea.....their 9-dash-line = no joy......unless Biden and the Dems are in power.

China does have a point about the us. Other than that, I wouldn't trust either of them.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

China is half right. They are the other half of that equation.

China has never taken on a real military, they just bully weak little countries that they know they can out gun. The US has been in constant war over a decade, the edge is honed, give them real targets to hunt down. Please, "made in China" military equipment is a joke hahaha they can't even build proper escalators or buildings that wont kill people hahaha

I do not trust China's military technology as it has never been war tested. I remember the Chinese copy of the Kalashnikov, it kept exploding. It is worth next to nothing in the Afghanistan gun markets. Also Chinese still are not able to manufacture all parts that make a ballpoint pen, the ball part and the tip are still imported from Germany. If that is in any way an indicator of their abilities to make reliable weapons and planes, I have a serious doubt!

Wow talk about wishful thinking.

Trump will be voted out on November the 3rd and even in he isnt he is the self proclaimed President that keeps America out of wars.

Within 10 years time China will match or even outmatch US forces. US with the biggest debt in the world cant keep up with the country with the highest reserves in the world.

China is building ships for its navy three times faster than the US. It already has more ships than the US. The US has greater tonnage for the moment. China has better missiles and more of them. China is growing and the US is imploding thanks to Trump and the fact Reps and Dems cant agree on most things.

If the US is truly to "neutralize" China it must do so in the next year or two while it still retains an advantage. But that wont happen. War is a lose lose proposition regardless. But should China be victorius that is the end for the world.

Well I guess The U.S. needs to neutralize China.

a secret Trump-Putin adulterous affair.

Hardly a secret.

China has decided to rock the boat and build the worlds strongest military. We can see where that is going with a Chinese diplomat threatening "total annihilation" of Indian troops at the border dispute recently.

With rhetoric like that why would anyone distrust China and its clearly benevolent military buildup? /sarcasm

It is going to be a case of, do what we say or be destroyed, being the future Chinese diplomatic formula.

Alarm bells ringing yet?

If Xi had not turned down Trump's request to help him win the election, the Xi-Trump love affair would still be going on. Trump could have been a guest at the next Chinese tank parade. He'd have loved it. For now, we've got to put up with a cooled down Trump-Kim relationship and a secret Trump-Putin adulterous affair.

Nobody asked the military for their opinion. This is chairman Winnie Pooh speaking.
