There would have been no need to examine her e-mails if Clinton had followed the rules in the first place. Any negative outcomes from that are entirely her own fault; nobody else is to blame.
The polls still showed her winning in various states, right up until she lost. Any claim that she was ahead in those states before the reexamination of her e-mails should not be taken too seriously.

Until the Dems own the reason for their drubbing in this election, they will continue to lose supporters and elections. The reason they lost is that they have for 3 decades ignored the needs of the same voters who Bill Clinton threw under the bus when he signed NAFTA and sold the DNC to Wall St. What goes around comes around.

..or it was Weiner's fault. Or maybe Republicans? Or the pre-election pollsters (who may happened to have polled where there were more Democrats?) Or a billion other reasons.
I don't like or hate either candidate, but Clinton should have accepted loss and left it at that. Trying to pass the blame only hurts her image, in my book...

Homotenashi at Nov. 13, 2016 - 02:47PM JST She is still going to need a pardon from Obama. ............................................................................................................ She has to be convicted of a crime before being pardoned.
lostrune2
Heheheh, at least she didn't blame the media
Y'know it's nobody's fault except the media
MsDelicious
At least we do not have to hear that raspy voice any longer.

Her defeat was her own fault, along with the hubris of the fawning media. Her planned Victory fireworks celebration in NYC was canceled a few days before the election because the ground campaign already knew she was about to get a drubbing.
Blame the Martians and Venusians, too?

The Dems did gain two seats in the Senate, a dozen in the House, and Clinton is topping Trump by some 600,000 votes as results trickle in - she'll likely surpass him by well over a million once California finishes counting. She made mistakes, sure - but I would not define this as a "drubbing."
Tsuchifumazu
Since Comey was appointed by Obama so maybe she should blame him. If Comey sat on the information about the discovery of new Clinton emails until after the election he would have been brutally hammered for that as well. I doubt Comey does anything without checking with his boss first.

and in separate news, Ive already seen an article that CHELSEA Clinton is now being groomed to run for Congress next time. Cant these people take a hint by now and just go away somewhere?
For this article, no the FBI is not why she lost. Her poor decision making and lack of any relationship with that small thing called "truth" is.

"What makes this stink even more is that there were no grounds for a criminal investigation."
Oh dear... I know CNN didn't cover the Clinton scandals but did you miss all the WikiLeaks reports?
"Of course Comey's statement to congress had a detrimental effect on Clinton's election - 24 million cast votes (18%) before Comey gave the 'all clear'. "
Comey gave the all clear, and SHE STILL LOST!

@Scrote exactly.
Well, we could have had the older (but in my opinion much wiser) Bernie. I hope the Dems learn their lesson. Good news is that next time around un-affiliated voters can vote in the primaries of both major parties... at least in my state.
Might be enough to offset the arrogant choices of the left and rights that do the choosing of our candidates. Cos this was a terrible choice to even have to pick through in the first place.
mr_jgb
She lost 232 vs 306 to Trump. The lost margin is big.

It has been an unwritten rule for generations that the FBI does not make statements that can affect the result during election time. Not only that, but Comey went ahead with his statement to congress without full approval from the rest of the FBI. If Comey's unauthorised action goes unpunished then we may as well allow the FBI to choose future presidents. What makes this stink even more is that there were no grounds for a criminal investigation. Of course Comey's statement to congress had a detrimental effect on Clinton's election - 24 million cast votes (18%) before Comey gave the 'all clear'. This election result should go to court.

Loretta Lynch better get to work on those indictments, not long before Obama's pardoning days are over.

The 2nd look didn't matter. Either voters had already decided she was guilty previously or they hadn't. It made no difference to me.
A yr ago, we knew Ms. Clinton was unelectable. Mr. Trump was also unelectable. Who won was really a toss up for which side had more hatred against them. Mr. Trump wasn't costing my family another car-payment extra every month. Obamacare is.
If a political party was costing your family $500/month more than before, wouldn't you be pissed off and vote for the opposing team?

Regardless of all the anti-Clinton/ anti-Democrat posts on here bar one post, the Director of the FBI made a statement to congress close to an election that would have influenced the voting decisions of millions of Americans. Nobody here, bar one poster, has succeeded in addressing that. So could somebody please give a valid reason why Comey went against decades of FBI consensus during an election? Instead of all these cheap shots at Clinton.
lostrune2
Comey should had just done the investigation first because of the timing with the election being so close (within 60 days, as per FBI policy).
If he had found something to show, that's when he should had sent the open letter to Congress.

That Hillary still cannot acknowledge her faults (and there are many) tells me that we could have expected more of the same dishonesty from a President Hillary.
Yeah, to many, if it ain't on CNN, it ain't true.
Kuya 808
I find it telling that Hillary's priorities put making excuses, to her big money backers, ahead of calling off her minions who are rioting in the streets.
As a matter of fact the silence from Hillary, Bernie and Obama on the matter of the political violence, we are seeing now, is telling as well. These people have it within their ability to rein in the violence, yet they are not doing it. Maybe they're afraid that the mob that they have so carefully cultivated will turn on them.
turbotsat
They're not afraid of that. Privately they support the mobs, and expect the mobs to support them. They don't want the mobs to stop supporting them and they have no motive to speak up.
Maybe you might get a few tweets or comments 'Stop the violence' from them, or maybe not. But not the sustained series of condemnation necessary to get the message out, and which they could easily issue if they had any ethics in their personal constitutions.
They (except maybe Bernie) have been in actual coordination with Creamer and Soros, documented coordinators and/or suppliers of paid violence-instigating protestors on the behalf of the Hillary Campaign.
It's telling that Obama rejected the racebaiting preacher only when that Obamas' long 20-year attendance at his church was outed (essentially claiming 'that's not who I am'). But Wright was only the leader of a little church, he was easily discarded by Obama. Creamer had an average of one visit to the White House every 8 days, over Obama's 8-year term, as reported by the White House itself, visits that Michelle also participated in. He may even have some measure of control over Obama and Hillary, knowing where the bodies are buried (figuratively in Obama's case). Let's just see if they try to stop the violence.

I have pointing out about FBI reopening of Hillary Clinton email investigation was hurting and damaging to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. FBI's director James Comey had interfered with US election. There was a question about why FBI reopen Hillary Clinton email investigation just before 10 days to election and why FBI closed Hillary Clinton email investigation again just before election day. I hope FBI director James Comey has answers for that. I believe someone has influence over FBI director James Comey for reopening of Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Hah, you're quoting a wordpress site for the results? That doesn't show much ability to filter reality from fiction.

Hillary should analyze why Trump won instead of blaming anything. And prepare for next election.. If trump does is good, don't touch. One more thing, decline to get Obama help whose Obamacafe and TPP turned elder voters and business world away from Hillary.. With such popularity,.. she may have a chance. Trump might be careful on his sexual appetite for a while.

HRC was a wrong messenger with the wrong messages. The Clintons arrogant in dragging the DNC under their feet resulting total disarray of election, democratic party, and themselves. The idea of "stupidity of American people" by liberal elites got the payback from "power to the people" they ignored (basket of deplorable). The inclusive equal justice for all, demanded Hillary to reflect her wrong steps in the orange or stripe uniform. Even then, no guarantee Clintons would learn from their crimes: racketeering through Clinton foundation, perjury, and obstruction of justice (emails).

scrote - what was the result from comey's accusation? obviously he announced it on the wrong time. guess you did not read the newspaper about how improper comey was.
