Trump revealed that he tried to trick people into enrolling who couldn’t afford the tuition.

Most universities do this.

"Trump, painting the presumptive GOP nominee as a con artist" . . . is no longer necessary.

"New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said he will not be deterred in pursuing the state’s case against Donald Trump and Trump University, just because the defendant is campaigning to be President of the United States."

“We sued him long before anyone thought he might run for President. This is not a political case, it's just a straight-up fraud case.”

"The New York state case against Trump University, brought in 2013, is proceeding at the same time as a federal lawsuit unfolds in California, both with essentially the same set of allegations -- that the real estate seminars marketed by the famous real estate mogul cheated the people who paid thousands of dollars to attend."

source: "NY Attorney General: I Won't Back Off Trump 'Fraud' Case"

Secretary of State Clinton would be better served leaving Trump gutter tactics to the master of sleaze. The Federal Judge in California and Attorney General for New York have this felon well in hand.

A fraud is one thing a proven liar is totally different and worse. Hillary bold faced lied about her private server and it must be remembered for the next 5 months. Or the FBI may rain on her parade of deception.

Hellary is feeling that her demise is at hand....,

-15 ( +13 / -28 )

She can get sued for saying Donald Trump is a "fraud" since it is a legal term. I would not do it especially since Hillary Clinton is a proven liar and has openly stated she is a liar. In front of a Judge the liar will lose first.

Trump is a fraud. No responsible person could ever vote for this fraud.

Pot, meet Kettle!

6 ( +15 / -10 )

Hilarious. Hillary is trying to save her declining campaign by going "Trump". It works for Trump because he's not a politician and the people trust his non-PC motives. But this makes Hillary look desperate, which she is. Aside from the anti-Trump crowd, most know the Trump University lawsuit is just a scam. The attorneys for the class action lawsuit had to dump their LEAD client after finding out that after the course, she wrote in a University survey that she was satisfied with the course. OOOPS! And how about the scientist, a respected writer for Huffington Post, had his article deleted because he had the gall to write that Hillary will be indicted. Huffington Post has still not responded to requests as to why they deleted it, and the writer has been blocked from posting articles. OH, the power of the MSM compels YOU!

Thumbs away!

-5 ( +12 / -17 )

Ok, pick either Trump or Hillary, because those are going to be the two candidates no matter what your insignificant opinion may be. Guess what - your vote DOESN'T matter, so discussing this is a moot point.

If you really think picking Trump is the better option because Hilary lied like EVERYONE does, then you really need to re-evaluate the term "lesser of two evils".

That's rich.

What the Trump-aholics are missing is their bigot has offered to pay for the violent acts of his racist followers.

Trump has gone to war against Disabled American Veterans since 1991.

Trump has been charged and today's document dump and testimonies show beyond doubt Trump University was nothing more than the same fraud Trump has been known for since he redlined blacks from his properties.

These are what legal sources call facts. Trump-aholics can't bear the thought of giving up their dependency on racism and religious prejudice. They would have no choice then but to look in the mirror and see their own hatred reflected in the lies of Doanld J. Trump. They are Trump's mini-mes.

Donald Trump is pathologically greedy. He cannot write a check in a timely manner or let go of money he raised for a cause without someone forcing him into it; in this case, the press. If it does turn out that he was deeply involved in the 'Trump University Scam', you have to wonder why a so-called 'billionaire was scamming people for $35,000 a piece. Surely that's chump-change to someone claiming to be worth $10 Billion. Greed like Trump's has no upper limit. He will take and take and take. And if you think he can't be 'bought', think again.

Trump is a liar, a fraud and a criminal.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/trump-fails-to-create-promised-jobs-and-investment-in-scotland-locals-say-a6801466.html

It's beyond comprehension that anyone would ever vote for him, for anything, ever.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

I'd wondered whether Trump would be able to survive the general campaign to the election. Now, I'm wondering if he won't implode before the Republican Conference. Seems the Repubs need to find a "white knight" and find one fast.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Donald Trump is not a fraud, he is a "promotors"!

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

If millions are insulted by what they see in their mirrors they have only themselves to blame. The facts are clear enough. The Federal and New York courts are pursuing strong cases. The New York Supreme Court of Appeals has already tested the Trump fraud case and green lighted prosecution.

Crying that one's feelings are hurt by the truth about Trump's racists and religious prejudice isn't an argument from reason. It is a tired and weak deflection. No one need fear quoting sources or posing opinion based on fact to make racists feel better about their hatred.

The reader may note, not one comment about Trump's repeated refusal to condemn Holocaust Denier David Duke has been attached to the current fraud charges Trump will answer for in California and New York. If Trump's planned and documented fraud makes him beter qualified to earn one's vote that is a personal decision.

It is important to note, however, again, eleven million Republicans voted for Trump, fourteen million voted against him in the primaries. The Trump supporter should be happy they have found their messiah. Hopefully none of them will shoot anyone in Cleveland.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

She cant beat Sanders people want Bernie not Clintron she is just as big liar as Trump is.

I see where you are coming from but looking at the hard cold numbers I don’t think there’s any way you could devise a delegate system where Bernie would win the nomination. He has simply lost by far too much. And even if he wins everywhere but New Jersey next week which is very likely Hillary is still going to have 200 or so more pledged delegates.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

The Fraudulent Trumpet blares again.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

A fraud is one thing a proven liar is totally different and worse. Hillary bold faced lied about her private server and it must be remembered for the next 5 months. Or the FBI may rain on her parade of deception.

When you check the dictionary for the meaning of liar, you'll see a photo of Hillary next to it. She personifies and embodies the very definition of what a true liar is. Every politician lies, cut Hillary has taken it to a completely different stratosphere.

What the Trump-aholics are missing is their bigot has offered to pay for the violent acts of his racist followers.

What about the racist ANTI-Trump supporters that caused thousands in damage every time these loons rampage. By the way, which Trump protesters were violent again.

Trump has gone to war against Disabled American Veterans since 1991.

No, he's gone to war with the media for distorting facts as usual and good on him for doing that!

Trump has been charged and today's document dump and testimonies show beyond doubt Trump University was nothing more than the same fraud Trump has been known for since he redlined blacks from his properties.

If Hillary can get a past on her lies and shenanigans, then Trump should equally get a pass, wouldn't you agree?

These are what legal sources call facts. Trump-aholics can't bear the thought of giving up their dependency on racism and religious prejudice.

Can you please prove these allegations? Are they racist because, they refuse to be politically correct or are they racist because Whites refuse to be targeted by reverse racism?

They would have no choice then but to look in the mirror and see their own hatred reflected in the lies of Doanld J. Trump. They are Trump's mini-mes.

It's appalling and depressing to have to watch Americans revel in tearing each other apart every four years and then have the gall to demand that other countries treat the US as a role model.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Trump supporters who find the fraud charges Federal and New York State courts are pursuing qualify Trump for their support should offer a sound and dependable justification on discussion boards as to why these charges are so very flattering to Donald J. Trump's in character and business practice.

Trump's lawyers are working on the same questions. Trump's marketing team has adopted the claim courts have no business judging fraud. That may work for racists too.

As an attorney, Secretary Clinton needs no instruction from the peanut gallery. Yale prepared her fairly well on issues of fraud. It is in fact the New York Attorney General who is charged with proving Trump's fraud. He seems to have ample evidence.

Trump's lawyers are working on the same questions. Trump's marketing team has adopted the claim courts have no business judging fraud. That may work for racists too.

And like with Benghazi, this will probably blow over and they'll settle out of court and everyone goes off on their merrily way and we can all get back to Politics as usual.

"they'll settle out of court" - comments

The forty million dollar damages suit for fraud, pursued in Federal and New York State, won't be open to the usual Trump chisel.

Guilt in fraud cases isn't a question of degree but intent.

The New York Supreme Court of Appeals has already proved intent behind the Trump University program design.

Trump's own "Ivy League" instructors have already rolled over and will continue to testify that their goal, based on direction from Donald J. Trump, was to sell, not teach.

That means Federal and New York State judges won't allow "plea bargains", but they may allow Trump visitation when he takes up residence at the Clinton Correctional Facility.

(Clinton Correctional Facility is a New York State Department of Correctional Services maximum security state prison for men located in the Village of Dannemora, New York.)

Liz: He has simply lost by far too much. And even if he wins everywhere but New Jersey next week which is very likely Hillary is still going to have 200 or so more pledged delegates.

Yeah, but if something were to happen to Hillary that would force her to drop out of the race....

“He is trying to scam America the way he scammed all those people at Trump U,” Clinton said during a campaign stop in Newark, New Jersey. “It’s important that we recognize what he has done because that’s usually a pretty good indicator of what he will do.”

I don't disagree with you here, Hillary, but I think at this point we know who Trump is. I don't think you're going to get much traction out of comments like this. Do something else.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

"I think at this point we know who Trump is. I don't think you're going to get much traction out of comments like this. Do something else." - comments

Here the point is clear enough. "Trump University" is just the fraud du jour. Secretary Clinton is too far out from November to make this a center piece. The New York Attorney General will.

Good advice to Secretary Clinton would be to stay ahead of the tsunami of Trump's history and not get caught up in Trump unpalatable prejudice.

Selling the sizzle, not the steak, is the proven tactic.

Secretary Clinton can afford to sniper the myriad failings of Donald J. Trump, but cannot forget her job is to set the direction not be lead by the tide.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

The forty million dollar damages suit for fraud, pursued in Federal and New York State, won't be open to the usual Trump chisel.

No, neither is the Hillary FBI investigation, if we're lucky, maybe both will be indicted and all partisans should be happy.

Guilt in fraud cases isn't a question of degree but intent.

Can you prove Trump intentionally tried to defraud people? Do you know something the prosecutors don't know? If so, that's breaking news!

The New York Supreme Court of Appeals has already proved intent behind the Trump University program design.

Hillary and Trump have "Johnny Cockran" type lawyers, "if it doesn't fit, you must acquit."

Trump's own "Ivy League" instructors have already rolled over and will continue to testify that their goal, based on direction from Donald J. Trump, was to sell, not teach.

So if you think Trump is going to be derailed by this little episode, then you guys are really......just wow, just wow!

That means Federal and New York State judges won't allow "plea bargains", but they may allow Trump visitation when he takes up residence at the Clinton Correctional Facility.

ROFL

(Clinton Correctional Facility is a New York State Department of Correctional Services maximum security state prison for men located in the Village of Dannemora, New York.)

The chances of that happening is about as great as Obsma staying in the White House for a 3rd term, it'll NEVER HAPPEN as much as the pray and hope. This is the time when liberals should pray and embrace religion.

Let every illegal and unvetted "refugee" into the US.

Extend Obama care.

Give Obama care to illegals and unvetted "refugees".

End jobs for coal miners.

Raise taxes like every democrat does.

Wants her husband -- the man responsible for creating NAFTA that killed jobs -- to run the U.S. economy.

CEO'S want Mrs. Clinton for U.S. President because she's a bought product and doesn't know anything about business or deal making.

One final observation: Mrs. Clinton has not held a press conference in 180 days. Heh, perhaps one of her dwindling numbers of supporters at this site can explain why. . . .

Religious nutters, wannabe theocrats, gun-fetishists, anti-science imbeciles and dangerous rabble-rousers. Trump's gift to the world is to show just how backward this party is and how corrosive its influence is.

No serious country could or does see this side of US politics as a role model. Trump may tickle the fancy of racists like Jean-Marie Le Pen who was thrashed in an election and human rubbish like the North Korean despots but these people are not civilised.

"Trump University offered a three-day seminar for $1,495, using it as a springboard to sell more expensive “Trump Elite” packages for up to $34,995 a year." - article

The New York Attorney General and the California Federal Court deposed Donald J. Trump's "instructors" who promptly rolled over and that confirmed the complaints of thousands of attendees from "Trump University".

Like most criminal cases, the way in always starts with one weak slob who rats out the co-conspirators. In this case there were so many rats the prosecutors had no need of cheese. As the playbook confirmed, up selling was the goal, not teaching some non-existent "miracle".

"Former managers of Trump University say it relied on high-pressure sales tactics, employed unqualified instructors and made deceptive claims."

source: Former Trump University Workers Call the School a 'Lie' and a 'Scheme' in Testimony

Trump supporters should also feel rightly betrayed by the fraud candidacy of Donald J. Trump. Time to pull the bumper stickers off and throw the Chinese hats in the trash along with Donald J. Trump's racisT campaign.

Too bad Trump is all the GOP-tea has. But, then again, racism and fraud has never not been part of the GOP-tea's playbook.

Let every illegal and unvetted "refugee" into the US.

Extend Obama care.

Not only would she do that, but she's willing to give them the same access to entitlements as US citizens, further deepening our already outrageous $19 trillion debt, Obamacare is already struggling to stay afloat and in many states on life support (pun intended)

Give Obama care to illegals and unvetted "refugees".

End jobs for coal miners.

Another Democrat in office means over the next 4 years a massive flood of endless illegal immigrants, just get rid of all borders, what little we have and just integrate them, the US pretty much is NON-existent at this point. As far as coal minors are concerned, as it looks now, the Democrats will never get the blue collar vote again, stupid move and without remorse, destroyed America's breadbasket.

Raise taxes like every democrat does.

When have you ever seen a Democrat that DIDN'T love ANY kind of tax? It just doesn't exist.

Wants her husband -- the man responsible for creating NAFTA that killed jobs -- to run the U.S. economy.

Clinton wasn't a bad president, but his sexual indiscretions is not something the country needs to deal with or take a chance with again....

CEO'S want Mrs. Clinton for U.S. President because she's a bought product and doesn't know anything about business or deal making.

But she sure knows how to secretly fatten her pockets, so as long as she can dodge the bullet on anything, a Hillary presidency will make the Obama presidency look like a somewhat of a slight success.

One final observation: Mrs. Clinton has not held a press conference in 180 days. Heh, perhaps one of her dwindling numbers of supporters at this site can explain why. . . .

Now you know libs will give her a pass because she's a......well, a liberal, so it's ok to bend the rules.

Secretary of State Clinton would be better served leaving Trump gutter tactics to the master of sleaze. The Federal Judge in California and Attorney General for New York have this felon well in hand.

The ironic thing is that of all the candidates who have been running for the past year, Hillary is the only one being investigated by the FBI. And Hillary is the only candidate running right now who is under threat of being indicted for a federal crime. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

One of the reasons Bernie is hanging on is that if Hillary is indicted, he will become the de-facto candidate of the democrat party. One of the reasons he is doing as well as he has is because Hillary is not as viable a candidate as people believe.

Hillary will resort to any tactics whatsoever to get into office; few politicians in the past century are more ambitious or power hungry than she it. She will out-Trump Trump if that is what she thinks it will take for her to win. I can't wait to see a debate between these two.

To me what is actually appalling and depressing is to see the amazing amount of partisanship in the U.S. and watching people engage in childish namecalling. We have devolved into a country where "My crook is better than your crook". It is a shame the United States has sunk so low.

Actually both political parties belong in a banana republic. Corruption is rampant in both parties and both candidates are an embarrassment.

Trump is casting himself as an outsider (the reason he is getting so much support) but history tells otherwise. He is no outsider at all.

Hillary pretends to support the middle class/lower class, but her actions contradict her words in many regards. She is bought and paid for by Wall Street.

They are both frauds in my opinion and they both will continue to ensure the U.S. middle class continues to be eviscerated.

I do not support Trump for the Presidency however I agree with him on immigration. Having served my country I am disgusted by the way both political parties (for their own reasons) are selling out the American lower and middle class. I am sick and tired of being called a racist for holding this belief.

You know Trump is incapable of adding anything more substantive than school boy taunts. But that seems to be all his supporters understand. Beyond making America great for the gun industry, what else has Trump proposed? Build a wall? I guess that would make sense for those whose reasoning stopped during their school days - or before.

It's because you support a racist for President.

And why is Trump a racist? Because he doesn't want "illegal" Mexicans from pouring into the US like a friggin' pinata exploded?

Or because he wants a temp ban on muslims from entering the US? Did you hear about a new incident (Germany) in which several women were groped by islamic men at some festival?

They're better off staying in Pakistan, Mecca & Medina. NOT the United States of America. We're infidels remember?

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

. . .like how Obama sold that "vote for change" lemon to everyone?? Did you buy that line too? I sure as hell didn't-

All presidents call for change and then realize that it is not so easy. Reagan is famous for calling for a reduction in government and deficit spending, but he created trillions in debt and enlarged government. Bush said read my lips, no taxes, but he raised taxes. Bill Clinton argued a more liberal agenda as a candidate, but he came to the center and even did what big name Republicans promised and couldn't do, he balanced the budget. Later, we had Bush come along and screw up the budget with the desire to spend and provide tax breaks to his wealthy supporters.

At least Obama created a national health plan. That was a huge change... and for the better. The Republicans have offered no meaningful alternatives, other than saying no for nearly eight years. Now more people are insured, people are not denied insurance, and health care costs are coming down. Women get prenatal care covered by insurance.

Obama also escalated drone strikes killing numerous terrorists and made the decision to go after and kill Bin Laden. Bin Laden was lost on Bush's watch when he decided attacking Hussein was a good idea and pulled troops out of Afghanistan, which created a huge mess in the middle east that Obama has been left to deal with.

Yea, Republicans have been a boone for the U.S. They have created unimaginable deficits, started ineffective and unnecessary wars, and have tried at every turn to recast the U.S. into some kind of right wing religious fundamentalist society. Now, they can only put forward a flim-flam man as a candidate.

The Republicans biggest unspoken complaint against Obama is that he is black, and they don't like that he is not in their pocket.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

And why is Trump a racist? Because he doesn't want "illegal" Mexicans from pouring into the US like a friggin' pinata exploded?

No, because he called all Mexican immigrants rapists and murderers (and before you try to make the claim he only said that about illegals, I suggest you go back and re-read his comments so that you don't make an incorrect statement). Also because he wants to ban 1.5 billion people from the country because of a few extremists, while only singling out a single group for that when all groups have some extremists.

Or because he wants a temp ban on muslims from entering the US? Did you hear about a new incident (Germany) in which several women were groped by islamic men at some festival?

You do realize that racism is blaming an entire group for the actions of a few, right? Now re-read your comment. And then realize that the exact argument you make is exactly the same type of argument that neo-nazis and the KKKs make when spouting their racist ideology.

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Trumph also knows David Duke, a KKK leader, but now he conveniently can't remember saying he was a good guy.

Pity Republicans not yet on the Trump bandwagon (well, not too much - this is the bed they have made): they can choose to march along, try to evade commitment, or turn against the putative party leader in the greater name of country. Neither is an easy choice. Trump might have made the first choice easier if he'd followed his promise to appear more "presidential," but he's done the opposite. News moves quickly, while awareness takes time to trickle down, but I suspect a tremendous amount of buyer's remorse in the offing.

Next Wednesday (Japan time), Hillary will have clinched the Dem nomination, something Sanders has indicated he recognizes by his actions to increase his influence within the party though without being the nominee. Likely, he will join forces with Hillary to advance common causes. This will coincide with an increased awareness by GOPers of exactly who their candidate is. And from there, it gets interesting.

Will Trump make it to November? Will he even make it through July? I have serious doubts. The piles of garbage surrounding him are already building much faster than they can be cleared - and this is before the main barrage comes. A key point will be his temperament. Most run for the presidency out of a combination of love of country and ideological zeal. Trump clearly lacks both. He may find that the hassle of running no longer worth it and simply drop out - wouldn't be too difficult: he could simply blame it on someone else (say, the RNC for not sufficiently supporting him, a consistent grumble of his that he seems to keep as a blank check for this type of situation). What then? Romney?

Trumph also knows David Duke, a KKK leader, but now he conveniently can't remember saying he was a good guy.

Republicans fought to rid the south of Slavery. The KKK was formed by democrats.

No, because he called all Mexican immigrants rapists and murderers

illegal or not, they still too many of them. And they're not favorably contributing to society like the Chinese or Korean immigrants. Plus most of them are not educated.

You saw them . . . .in the streets with their mexican flags, beating people up and vandalizing police cars.

You do realize that racism is blaming an entire group for the actions of a few, right?

All I know is Germany is mess. Paris and Brussels were hit. I don't want the US to allow more & more muslims. They simply DO NOT fit into our culture. 31 US State Governors also agree. It would be complete madness to let them come in.

We're infidels remember? They're better of going to Canada.

Republicans fought to rid the south of Slavery. The KKK was formed by democrats.

This is hardly Abe Lincoln's Republican party. That was a long time ago and a lot has changed.

Abe Lincon's party has digressed to elect the likes of Donald Trumph. Abe would be ashamed.

@Strangerland,

You sound like a broken record. I think the world is well aware that the problem he is talking about is illegals. It has been stated thousands of times. You still fail to recognize this. He made the mistake by saying Muslims when he should have just said everyone. Too many whiners and bleeding hearts will go on endlessly about his proposed ban. Keep everyone out for the time being.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Trump vigorously maintains that customers were overwhelmingly pleased with the offerings, and the documents do include testimony from several satisfied customers. His campaign released a video Wednesday featuring several people speaking positively about their experiences — although two of the former students shown have business ties to Trump...

Oh, like those ads for miracle cures and miracle diet aids... yes, we all believe the 'quoted' testimonies don't we. "I went to Trump University and I now earn $12bn a year running my own cheese string business".

He'll get a fine Scottish welcome when he comes to his golf course later this month... heh heh. He's less popular here than David Cameron ;)

It's marketing. Can you win $100 million in lottery? They sell dreams and many buy it. People with common sense ignores it. There's always a fish. What's wrong with that? It's supply and demand.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Abe Lincon's party has digressed to elect the likes of Donald Trumph. Abe would be ashamed.

He'd be ashamed about LGBT and Trannies using any restroom they want. Didn't Abe say something like, " a nation divided cannot stand". Look at all the division obama created by trying to make America like the rest of the world.

This is so wrong and unamerican.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

@Thunderbird,

Anyone can anyone for any reason these days. Most big businesses are legal disputes all the time. A fine Scottish welcome? Especially from the people who got jobs from him. Scotland is going to the dogs quickly too with its out of control immigration.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

I think the world is well aware that the problem he is talking about is illegals.

Perhaps. Whatever connection between what Trump says and what believes (if anything) must be subject to speculation as his speech is consistently incoherent. For example, he said regarding the judge overseeing his Trump University case:

The judge, who happens to be, we believe, Mexican, which is great, I think that’s fine.

Very likely, he does not think this is fine, and even more obviously, the judge is not Mexican. Mexicans cannot become judges in the United States. They must be American citizens.

Now, for average Joes in non-management positions, such language might be forgivable; for a president, it is not. (Incidentally, it is also a Federal crime to intimidate a judge; he's just exposed himself to more potential problems.) Perhaps he is discussing "illegals;" perhaps not. With this man, pointofview, can you really be so sure?

0 ( +3 / -3 )

The judge is La Raza. I do believe Trump would be better off emphasizing this connection to illegals, but Trump does what he does .The judge has made a huge boo boo "accidentally" unsealing/resealing records which looks like he was trying to damage Trump rather than it being a true “mistake”. He ought to be jerked off the bench. Add to that the law firm bringing the lawsuit (appointed by the judge) has paid the Clintons almost a half million for speeches ..... doesn’t pass the smell test.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

LGBT and Trannies....He'd be ashamed about LGBT and Trannies using any restroom they want. Didn't Abe say something like, " a nation divided cannot stand". Look at all the division obama created

The U.S. has a diverse population. LGBT and trannies are real and part of the country. But you would rather divide them from the country and deny them a voice in their own country. The bathroom choice along with that whole community integrating into the nation is something that will evolve in time as issues are addressed.

A nation divided? The Republicans have divided the nation by trying to make everyone accept their perverted vision of a judeo-christian state and saying no at every step. It goes to show the Republicans are not the same party as Lincoln's party. They cannot accept diversity and would rather divide the nation if it will not accept their narrow and antiquated religious agenda.

On the topic of the article, Trumph is a petty confidence man writ large. I can thankfully say that I have never bought anything with a Trumph name on it.

Now, the Trumph name is attached to the Republicans, a true reflection of the regressive state of the Republican party.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

LagunaJUN. 02, 2016 - 03:48PM JSTVery likely, he does not think this is fine, and even more obviously, the judge is not Mexican. Mexicans cannot become judges in the United States. They must be American citizens.

Trump ripped into federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel who is a Mexican-American, presiding over class action lawsuits pending against Trump University and Trump, personally, for allegedly defrauding thousands of people out of money in connection with the now defunct school.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Mr. Trump is currently under indictment for fraud, regarding his now defunct Trump "University."

So yes, Trump is indeed a fraud, and worse.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I'm loving it. Best tragicomedy for many years.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

The judge is La Raza.

That makes no sense. You might plausibly claim that the judge desires areas of America once part of Mexico to be returned to the country, but you would have to back that up with evidence.

The judge has made a huge boo boo "accidentally" unsealing/resealing records ....

He did not "accidentally" unseal records. He took into account the factor of public concern in the case, given that Trump is running for president, and allowed the records to become public record.

Add to that the law firm bringing the lawsuit (appointed by the judge) ....

This makes no sense at all. The judge did not "appoint" the law firm. Representing the plaintiffs, their political leanings and actions are irrelevant. Politico notes that Trump may try to have the judge recused, presumably because the judge is Hispanic (ah, the ability to be able to choose judges based on ethnicity is so very American!)

http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2016/05/donald-trump-university-judge-unseals-files-223687

This might come back to bite him: He has implicitly threatened a judge overseeing his case, which is a Federal mistake. He'd better watch his step - if he can maintain that amount of self-control.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

All I know is Germany is mess.

No one is calling for European style widespread immigration. Even the POTUS is only calling for 15,000 immigrants.

I don't want the US to allow more & more muslims. They simply DO NOT fit into our culture.

8.5 million Muslims call America home. Where are all the terrorist attacks? Either the threat of Islamic Extremism or vastly overstated, or Immigration and Customs, and the Federal Government does a much better job protecting us than you give them credit for?

And, what do you mean, "our culture?" Do you mean black culture, white culture, hispanic culture, or asian culture? What is "our culture?" For the 8.5 Muslim Americans living peacefully in the US and contributing ro society, just how do should they take your message?

This kind of thinking is the problem. IS believes in a nasty ideology which teaches that the west and Islam are incompatitable. This kind of garbage gives IS' ideology legitimacy it does not deserve.

31 US State Governors also agree.

Yes, 31 US Governors are more concerned with being reelected than doing morally correct thing. Sad, but fortunately, the Federal Government has the upper hand here.

Judge Curiel is absolutely an award winning activist for illegal immigration who works on behalf of San Diego La Raza immigration activists primarily to select illegals for scholarships. He has openly engaged with the group on a variety of political endeavors in fact and would no doubt be proud to be so ethnically labeled. Not incidentally he also appointed a law firm in the Trump University case that had not only contributed to Clinton among other liberal organizations but paid her and her husband half a million in speaking fees. Can we talk a big, fat political conflict of interest?

The fact is "Trump University" is no longer in business stealing millions from thousands of Americans.

The fact is Donald J. Trump is complaining a Federal Judge is a Mexican.

The fact is the fraud, known as "Trump University", changed its name and fled operation from New York State to continue a planned fraudulent operation as soon as the New York Attorney General began his investigation in 2013, long before Trump announced his run for bigot in chief.

If the fraud scheme ever delivered anything other than a tissue of lies and deception, it would still be in business, The fraud "University" has been closed because of one reason. It was a criminal activity that drew lawsuits in three jurisdictions in the States.

Cry baby as much as they can, Trump-aholics can't admit the truth to themselves. (That's the first step in treating addiction by the way, recognition of the problem.)

The fraud "Trump University" closed its operations because it was exposed as a criminal activity.

Donald J. Trump may help racists feel better about themselves with his continued hatred for the Mexican People shown in his endless prejudice for the Federal Judge overseeing the court's business.

It would have been a far more successful business model under the name "Racism University" appealing to Trump's core support who are glad to give to any cause that promotes racism like Trump's campaign and David Duke's Holocaust Denial Trump refused to condemn.

Never again will this fraud be seen as anything other than the disgusting criminal his history reveals.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

According to a Rasmussen poll, incredibly, 71% of Democratic voters think Hillary should keep runnng even if indicted, lol.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Donald J. Trump's corrupt business plan, "Trump University", currently under prosecution for forty million dollars, has some impressive evidence Trump demanded supressed.

The only problem for Trump?

Investigations began in 2013. So Trump's claims, and his supporters delusions, that this criminal acitivity is being prosecuted as a political issue has been proved false.

Another lie from the campaign to "Make America Hate Again"

"Far from providing a 'complete real estate education,' as advertised, Trump University personnel only provided enough information to get students to sign up for the next seminar or program," said a statement from Corinne Sommer, who described herself as manager of the events department for six months in 2007. She said Trump University instructors used high pressure sales techniques, no matter the financial situation of the students."

"These people did not necessarily have real estate experience, but they were skilled at high-pressure sales," Sommer said in her statement. "I recall that some consumers had showed up who were homeless and could not afford the seminars, yet I overheard Trump University representatives telling them, 'it's ok; just max out your credit card.'"

Yes, 31 US Governors are more concerned with being reelected than doing morally correct thing.

The correct thing to do is protect the citizens in their perspective states. Safety first.

What is "our culture?"

Freedom. Innovation. Entrepreneurship. Education. Christmas. 4th of July. BBQ's. Socializing. . . . and basically all the things Sharia Law forbids.

Where are all the terrorist attacks?

What planet do you live on? San Bernardino, Paris (twice), Brussels, NYC and the lone radical wolf shooting cops at point blank range in Philly. The US armed forces recruitment center in Chattanooga took a hit too. Look at all the lone wolves who's plots were foiled by US authorities.

No one is calling for European style widespread immigration.

Are you sure? Obama and Kerry said they would let some in. This is a mistake. There are enough muslims in the US. The islamic refugees who continue to flood EU. With their ISIS (flag) screensavers on their smartphones, shouting "God is great."

No thank you sir. Just stay in Syria, Pakistan, East Africa, Mecca and Medina. We (usa) are infidels remember??

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

...Hillary should keep runnng even if indicted, lol.

Ha ha! Hilarious - that so many GOPers have put all of their eggs into this sole basket. Serrano, let us consider the very high hurdle an indictment would require: That Hillary willfully and maliciously mishandled information that was classified at the time. An indictment is not going to happen, and for good reason. More likely is that Trump will drop out of the race and the Repubs will have to scramble to find a replacement.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

The correct thing to do is protect the citizens in their perspective states. Safety first.

And deny the very principles which are the bedrock of the US? Nonsense. Once again, I repeat, 8.5 million Muslim Americans, where are the terrorist attacks?

Freedom. Innovation. Entrepreneurship. Education. Christmas. 4th of July. BBQ's. Socializing. . . . and basically all the things Sharia Law forbids.

Innovation and entrepreneurship? Well then, pray tell, where did Steve Jobs' relatives come from? Syria. So much for this nonsensical argument.

Christmas? Really? Is that central to our "culture?" I Native Americans and Asian Americans are less American than white Christian Americans? No one, not even Muslim Americans are calling for Sharia law. Again, your bigotry is on full display for all to see.

What planet do you live on?

Earth. Now, I am talking specifically about America. Not Europe or this or that, America. Where are the terrorist attacks? You said Islam is not compatible with American values. Well where is the proof? 8.5 million Americans peacefully live in America and contribute to our society. Once again I ask: If Islam is all about violence, where the hell are the terrorist attacks? Virtually non-existent. Could it just be, that they want to live, prosper, and contribute to the US no differently than any other immigrant coming to America? Of course not, they're all terrorists according to you, WC.

Are you sure?

Yes, I am positive. Its been all over the news. Where have you been? https://www.yahoo.com/news/obama-orders-us-admit-10-000-syrian-refugees-174241388.html?ref=gs

Again, I will ask, and this is the crucial question. If you were one of the 8.5 million Muslim Americans and read your comment how would you feel? Would you feel welcome in the United States of America?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Quinniplac University has a poll out showing Hillary virtually tied with trump in Pennsylvania and Florida , and, get this, trailing Trump 39% to 43% in Ohio. Even if Hillary wins California, if she loses these three swing states.. Oh! My! God!

Scramble to who? (I'll even admit it) They were all jokes. Especially that whole Cruz-Fiornia announcement. Heck that was the icing on the cake.

The funny thing is how Trump was ridiculed from the outset . . . . then about 10 months later we see people rioting and thrashing police cars on CNN. Slowly, but surely, he won state after state and didn't really waver. I still got lots of popcorn left. Its all very entertaining-

How right she is.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

All presidents call for change and then realize that it is not so easy. Reagan is famous for calling for a reduction in government and deficit spending, but he created trillions in debt and enlarged government.

To be fair, Reagan was elected at the high point of the cold war, and arguably it was his increased spending which pushed the Soviet Union into collapse. Considering the other alternatives, the money spent was a bargain. And we cannot forget that Reagan's policies were largely successful, and the economic disaster of the 70's was ended, and economic growth returned to America. I remember double-digit inflation during Carter's presidency; high unemployment, and signs posted in front of companies which said "Not Hiring!" Chrysler went bankrupt, Ford was a step behind; long lines at gas stations, and odd-even days where you could or couldn't buy gasoline depending on the numbers on your license plate. It seems that few people remember how much better things became when Reagan was in office.

Bush said read my lips, no taxes, but he raised taxes.

You forget that Bush never had a majority in either house of congress, which are the parties which create the tax laws, and Bush would not have been able to veto a tax increase even if he wanted to. You cannot blame Bush. for increasing taxes when it was the opposing party which was responsible. It was a foolish thing for him to say, especially when the opposition had the power to make him eat his words.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Scramble to who?

Good question, Wc. If Trump does drop out, this would be an unprecedented situation. Romney as the most recent nominee would seem most likely if he'd be willing; Cruz, as the runner-up in the primaries, might go for it, but he has his own baggage to bear. An election sans GOP nominee is difficult to imagine, so I assume someone would step up to the plate. Are you free for the next few months? (It certainly wouldn't be a multi-year commitment).

1 ( +2 / -1 )

The very bedrock & foundations...

Wc, you really don't want to go there. "The very bedrock & foundations" were also based on slavery and Native American genocide. What was born from that was an ability to reflect, correct mistakes, and be tolerant. That is the true spirit of America.

While Donald J. Trump's fraud "Trump University" is the subject of the article, the legion of hate, Trump-aholics, think the article is about religious prejudice and the punishment of the poor. That's one sign of a lethal dose of Trump's lies.

More like the lies the left TRY with the utmost effort to push to convince people the only way to salvation is to vote for a woman that is so untrustworthy, she makes Benedict Arnold look like a person you would trust with a million dollars.

Not that this is new. What has been a documented and disgusting example of Donald J. Trump's depraved victimization of Americans, exceeded only by his persecution of Disabled American Veterans, his greatest admirers can only return to their vomit of religious prejudice and hatred of the working poor.

Hatred of the poor? So when Democrats and Hillary take advantage of the poor and in particular minorities, that's ok??? WOW!!

With friends like these Trump can continue his fraud campaign and then blame the media for reporting his conviction this fall.

LOL. The media can't even get to talk or get decent questions in to Hillary since questions are limited, scrutinized. She's for the people as long as you don't ask her any questions about her financial contributions.

If it's a fraud a voter wants, they have their fraud.

His name is Donald J. Trump.

The Attorney General of New York is ready to start prosecution with the blessing of the New York Supreme Court.

Since beginning the process in 2013, the fraud "Trump University" fled New York and changed its name.

If that isn't an admission of guilt there's little the Attorney General need prove beyond it.

Right wing lunatics will believe what they want. They drank the cool aid long ago. Truth means nothing to them. Lies mean nothing to them.

They are hysterical. They must be defeated.

Donald J. Trump, serial liar, er "promotor" is a fraud. The only way he can win is to con enough of the non-crazy, low info voters into believing he is some kinda mover and shaker. When, in reality, he is a poser and a cheat.

That is why we Dems are gonna hit him on the Trump "University" skam, over, and over, and over.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The ONLY fraud running is the woman that refuses to answer ANY questions about her financial contributions, refuses to take ANY spontaneous questions. There's your real fraud.

I think we can all agree that Don the Con has some explaining to do. After all, the man is being sued for fraud. How many times have you been sued for anything? Trump? 150. And I wonder why.

DJT is quite a character, but at the man is accessible to the media, thin-skinned or not, the same cannot be said about HRC.

No, he's not! Unless its the media is gushing about his handsome appearance or complimenting his 'daring' foreign policy, Trump can't stand the media. He cannot stand any criticism of himself or his policies.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Ryan and Rubio are supporting Trump now.

Ok, so both Trump and Clinton are being investigated, Trump by the DA and Clinton by the FBI, I would tend to think being investigated by the FBI is worse.

No, he's not! Unless its the media is gushing about his handsome appearance or complimenting his 'daring' foreign policy, Trump can't stand the media.

And he shouldn't as dishonest as they are. I'm sure you heard what Katie Couric did the other day. He should go after them. Unlike Obama who was emphatically in love with the press and they with him, Trump is bashing skulls and rightfully so. Kudos.

He cannot stand any criticism of himself or his policies.

No different from Hillary, who won't even let you get near her or you might face being ejected, prosecuted, ridiculed or taken apart by her minions. The main difference is, Trump can fight his own battles, Hillary always needs a scapegoat.

The deliberate misrepresentation that a District Attorney is pursuing Donald J. Trump's fraudulent "Trump University" is the usual same ole' from the school of failed journalism.

It is in fact the Attorney General of the State of New York and the Federal Government who are both prosecuting "Trump University" for fraud. That's not an investigation. That's a mug shot and finger printing for Donald J. Trump. Some campaign poster that'll make. (Insert peals of laughter and the wetting of the shorts grimace in this space)

kcjapan - Secretary of State Clinton would be better served leaving Trump gutter tactics to the master of sleaze. The Federal Judge in California and Attorney General for New York have this felon well in hand.

Yes, Hillary is resorting to gutter tactics. Old habits are hard to break.

Meanwhile, Trump refuses to settle this case. It looks like the case is headed to court. Evidence will be presented by both sides. The people suing have also provided earlier statements claiming they were happy and satisfied with the courses they took. Were they lying then, or are they lying now?

As far as I know, just because a prosecutor wants to continue a case doesn't mean they will actually win a case. Especially when the prosecutor's witnesses will be testifying, under oath, against themselves.

Well, first the charge is fraud, the damages are set at forty millions dollars and the "playbook" (the instructions to employees of Trump University) have shown that the fraud wasn't an educational opportunity but a strategy to fleece unsuspecting American Citizens.

The question of testifying has already been answered in depositions already obtained to form the foundation of charges brought by both the Attorney General of New York and Federal Government.

Reading the brief below, what the courts are pursuing is the demonstrated deception that stole millions from American Citizens over the course of five years.

The conclusion is Donald J. Trump created a fraudulent scheme to steal money. The only step left is the mug shot.

You don't think Hillary was fingerprinted, anyone thinking that is really out there. She is being investigated by the FBI, not by some stupid mall security. There is a slight difference that Clinton put American security under serious liability because of her negligence. I do think in a federal prison Hillary looks good in orange.

The question of testifying has already been answered in depositions already obtained to form the foundation of charges brought by both the Attorney General of New York and Federal Government.

Kcjapan, I know you hate Trump, but if you think the man is going to prison or that this small bump is going to derail his candency, you guys are in for a very sad and depressing awakening. The worst is, he might have to settle out of court and that'll be the end of that. Which we can all breath a sigh of relief.

"The worst is, he might have to settle out of court" - comments

Actually the Government's case leaves no room for a settlement out of court.

The defense may offer a plea. The Federal Judge in California and the New York Attorney General have no reason to accept any reduction in the guilty plea or judgment of forty million.

Donald J. Trump's continued contempt of the Courts will weigh heavily against him.

No Judge will hear a contemptuous accused's plea as credible.

Trump contempt for the Court is why there will be no plea bargaining or a change in settlement.

Rule of thumb, in court, don't show contempt for the legal process or the Judge.

Actually the Government's case leaves no room for a settlement out of court.

The worst that Trump could get would be a massive fine, that would be it pretty much.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman's lawsuit, filed in 2013, seeks $40 million in restitution plus penalties and other costs, his office said

That's like $20 for you and me, he pays it, it's done. Hopefully, liberals can rest as well knowing that this witch hunt they were trying to insight was nothing.

Donald J. Trump's continued contempt of the Courts will weigh heavily against him.

Got it, all Trump needs to do is pull himself together, cool the outbursts, pay his fines and be n his merrily way.

Trump contempt for the Court is why there will be no plea bargaining or a change in settlement.

If you have money like Trump, it's small beans to pay that kind of penalty.

Rule of thumb, in court, don't show contempt for the legal process or the Judge

At least he won't be going to prison, that's a good thing.

Calif. Each county has Calif. St. Univ. Sys. About each city has college. Tuition free and each semester registration fee only. Any people llve in Calif.. can attend with such inexpensive.cost. In LA area, UCLA and USC very inexpensive.

Now many Republicans say that 4 years of Hillary would be better than even 1 day of Trump as POTUS.

Glad they realize this.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

cool the outbursts Yes, and forget about the wall. It's a 10B scam just like his University.

What is she talking about? All politicians are fraud what's the news?

God bless you, please, Mrs. Clinton. Heaven holds a place for those who pray, Hey, hey, hey Hey, hey, hey

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I like the Mrs. Robinson reference.....

It is interesting that Trump supporters were violently attacked and beaten up in San Jose by the anti-Trump crowd...they punched a cop and Trump supporters, burned U.S. flags, carried Mexican flags, and harassed people that just wanted to see Trump speak.

What worries me the most is that these people are going to actually increase the level of support for Trump....

If they want to protest Trump they should do away with the violence. Also if they feel they need to carry a Mexican flag in California it may be prudent for them to return to Mexico....if it is so much better than the U.S.

As an expat living in Japan (legally) I would expect to thrown in jail and deported for doing what these people did.

The U.S. has gone insane....

kcjapan - Well, first the charge is fraud,

As far as you're concerned, there's no need for a trial. It appears to advance your agenda to declare Trump guilty (and then hope for the best).

Making claims on the internet is not the same as convincing a judge or jury. The case is going to court. Trump University will be given a chance to defend itself. Provided that the prosecution can actually make it's case. In court. Before a judge.

Provided that the prosecution can actually make it's case. In court. Before a judge. This is a civil trial

As far as the issue on tuition goes, it's not a unique thing to "Trump U" I've been dealing with my own messes with the local state college and finical aid messes that where caused by some of the newer federal rules, and a run of bad luck.

is Trump a liar and a Fraud? probably. But Clinton certainly is and even more so. As much as I would of preferred not to have to pick either of them. Given the choice between a untried but rather loose cannon, and one that we already seen how much it misfires. well at least we got somewhat of a chance with the former. So while I don't really support trump I do acknowledge he's the lesser of the two evils so I'll vote for trump over Clinton.

And I think it's pretty obvious she's getting desperate here, especially since she's been implicated in some rather high profile lies and scandals that she's hopping we forget about as she accuses Trump of being a liar.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Sadly, opinions are opinions and accusation are accusations which invites more of the same depending on a persons preference and his/her own set of values regarding the subject in question, "fraud".

In life everyone is a "fraud" in a sense with "pretenses", "facades" (made up images) and "lies" (be it white lies or not). That is how one not only survives but also advances in a social environment, and sometimes even in the natural environment.

The important thing is to "read" the "intent" of the accuser as well as the accused and exactly what is being considered and with what "perspective".

Obviously both are candidates trying to out maneuver each other in getting the approvals needed in getting the votes. Also in any politics, business and or personal relationships that require "selling" and idea or thing or anything that benefits oneself, one "creates" and "image" most beneficial to achieving a desired end. The constant commercials we are bombarded with do the same thing.

Take most of it with a grain of salt. No sense getting ulcers over it by arguing.

The key is what "action" can and will either person will take as President that will benefit not only the USA, but the world.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I wonder what if President Trump with Bernie Sanders as the VP.

Sanders is said to be a socialist but seems to me kind of a "small government" seeker sharing common purpose with republicans. If republican party put Trump under control and have Sanders as the VP, it seems to make sense to me. and Trump/Sanders will destroy Hillary.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

So Clinton says Trump is a fraud? I guess it takes one to know one.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Wow. judging by these comments there is a real chance Trump could win, Im sure glad I don't live in the states, however am fearful of what it means for the world.

There is no point making any other comments really, the sides have made their choices, though its the result I suggest of the last 10-15 years worth of constant streaming "alerts", the sky is falling, opinion as news and truth, crying wolf again and again to population who doesn't seem to want to open their eyes to the world around them.

At the same time the kind of rhetoric uses by Trump sadly reveals a parts of the population is just as xenophobic, racist, sexist, homophobic and grossly misinformed as the rest of the world previously felt guilty about thinking it might be.

Of course even if he was to win, he is only the President, as was pointed out by Obama's Presidency you can be blocked at almost every turn. In many ways its really about choosing who symbolises the country, and a big orange buffoon seems like the wrong choice to me.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The world knows "fraud" and everyone knows that he/she too is a "fraud" in some sense in some situation under some circumstances. The world had learned to work around and maneuver to either confront, avoid, or correct that.

The key is what "action" could he/she would take that will benefit the USA and the World and especially "myself" the MOST.
