GWB was arrested then released?

Good news: Government jobs are down and private sector jobs are up (and who is president now?)

the public sector has declined significantly since Mr. Obama took office (down 578,000 jobs). These job losses had mostly been at the state and local level, but more recently at the Federal level. This has been a significant drag on overall employment.

The US economy expanded an annualized 0.7 percent on quarter in the last three months of 2015

Are you kidding me??! NOT even 1% which is a complete embarrassment!

So show me a list of all the high end private sector jobs that are out.

"if you get a Republican president, they can always reopen the case files.

Obama and Holder did the same, got into office tried to charge Bush with so called war crimes and later dropped the case. The opposite can happen with a Republican president that they could go after PP and seek to defund it. There is always that possibility.

"For the time being." time being what? What else is there to investigate? It's like when you were saying all this time that Obama was born in Kenya but nothing panned out.

"this current Tyrant" So you think that Obama just goes and executes his political enemies Stalin style.

Good news: Government jobs are down and private sector jobs are up (and who is president now?)

"if you get a Republican president, they can always reopen the case files." With what evidence? It was all faked.

The big crash happened and it's 99% Bush's fault.

The Federal Reserve, which slashed interest rates after the dot-com bubble burst, making credit cheap. Home buyers, who took advantage of easy credit to bid up the prices of homes excessively. Congress, which continues to support a mortgage tax deduction that gives consumers a tax incentive to buy more expensive houses. Real estate agents, most of whom work for the sellers rather than the buyers and who earned higher commissions from selling more expensive homes. The Clinton administration, which pushed for less stringent credit and downpayment requirements for working- and middle-class families. Mortgage brokers, who offered less-credit-worthy home buyers subprime, adjustable rate loans with low initial payments, but exploding interest rates. Former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan, who in 2004, near the peak of the housing bubble, encouraged Americans to take out adjustable rate mortgages. Wall Street firms, who paid too little attention to the quality of the risky loans that they bundled into Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS), and issued bonds using those securities as collateral. The Bush administration, which failed to provide needed government oversight of the increasingly dicey mortgage-backed securities market. An obscure accounting rule called mark-to-market, which can have the paradoxical result of making assets be worth less on paper than they are in reality during times of panic. Collective delusion, or a belief on the part of all parties that home prices would keep rising forever, no matter how high or how fast they had already gone up.

Not solely his fault. This is a partisan issue, always has been. You have both a Dem and a conservative president that didn't do enough to fix these problems and as a result the economy tanked.

From factcheck.org

PP is free and clear in a conservative state.

For the time being.

"and you can believe the same as well" Then which person from PP is under arrest?

Let's just wait and see next year how this will see, if you get a Republican president, they can always reopen the case files.

Sorry, it happened under Reagan's watch.

And Clinton's so it's a non-partisan issue.

3M amnesty inked with Ronnie's signature. It's just an excuse. But illegal immigration is reversing anyway.

You mean after he was lied to by the Dems they would seal off the border, but never did. But not from Guatamala, Honduras and El Salvador.

All these illegals became legal under Reagan and the big crash happened under GWB.

So now that we know both parties were derelict in their duties to safeguard the country financially and failed, there is angst and uncertainty in the financial market with this current Tyrant as him taking us further over the age. Now his trying to push for a couple of thousands of kids from Latin America to become citizens by executive order and the Supreme Court had to spank Obama to let him know, he's not a king, even though he thinks of himself as such.

Things that have been proven to be LIES yet you refuse to accept it.

I work in the news buisness and I'll you this, you'd be very surprise as to how corrupt and partisan the system is and depending where and who is presiding over the trial and having the overall outcome fall in their perspective favor. I know all too well about.

Which makes me think replying to you is futile.

Something we both can definetly agree on.

"That's your family, not the city, it's always been a liberal city." No, conservative. But who cares?

It was the Dems, but don't let history stand in the way. Now if you meant it happened on a Republicans watch, sure, but the cause and the climatic main result was Dodd and Frank.

PP is in the free. If you want to think that PP is selling baby parts to other countries then go ahead.

And you can believe the same as well, we just have a huge difference in what we believe in.

"And the Dems expanded and lied about Amnesty to both of them." You just said this was all started by the Republicans.

No, Democrats that lied that they would seal the pourous border in 1984 if Amnesty would be given to the illegals and the Dems never kept their word. And now we should once again trust this Tryant who wants to give 5 million amnesty? That's why the Supreme Court weighed in to reign in the presidents governmental overreach and power trip!

If you are talking about abortion, the problem was not legal abortion, the problem was late-term abortion and sell and distributions of baby parts,

Things that have been proven to be LIES yet you refuse to accept it. Which makes me think replying to you is futile. So I shall stop from here on out.

"For this fiscal term." Forever. It's over.

For now until the nest term, sure.

"Sorry, but Houston has ALWAYS been a liberal city in Texas." No, I have family there and they always vote Republican.

That's your family, not the city, it's always been a liberal city. They have an openly gay mayor and their politics have always been open and progressive, even if they have a couple of conservatives living there.

"No, these bailouts were Bush."

Started under a Democratic legislation.

Subprime bubble happened under Bush's watch. Just like 3M illegals green card under Reagan's. It's all the Republicans fault.

And the Dems expanded and lied about Amnesty to both of them.

It is interesting that you claim Arnold couldn't get anything done because of liberals,

I lived through that mess, that is exactly what happened. The man had his heart in the right place, but he was fighting a losing battle with his Democratic majority.

yet imply somehow Obama is just doing what ever he pleases regardless of the Republican majority.

there is a difference in in the between a governor and a president.

I believe you very actively choose points only to serve the narrative you believe.

Buddy, you could be only further from the truth.

Obviously you are pro life

I never said, what I was.

and refuse to accept the truth about planned parenthood and those videos.

No, I can accept the truth, but I know about their donations, the same as the BOE and the teachers unions and the stronghold they have on the Democratic party. Please don't lecture me on this topic, been reporting on them and the BOE for over 30 years. Been to the hearings, many court trials, depositions, all of it. I know exactly what they'll all about and I know that the Dems are not, will not and never would allow one of their biggest contributors to get indicted, just not going to happen. It would have been very different if we had a Republican president in office, which is another reason why the Dems are in such a hysteria that a Republican is more than likely to get into the WH.

Let me guess, you are going to accuse me of the exact opposite?

I am not accusing you of anything.

All I have to say is conservatives need to stay out of peoples personal lives.

Please tell that to the Dems as well. Since Obama ratcheted up the surveillance program that Bush started, he put the program on steroids, but if Obama does it, it's ok for national security, if Bush does it, it's an invasion of privacy?

Abortions, marriage equality etc. are legal,

No one said, they weren't.

and if you don't believe in them, don't have one.

If you are talking about abortion, the problem was not legal abortion, the problem was late-term abortion and sell and distributions of baby parts, that is what the main issue was for conservatives. There is no reason for anyone to terminate a full-term baby that could live outside of the womb. If you don't want it, there are thousands of people that want or can't have children, give it to someone that would love and care for the child. That is the overall objection.

That pesky freedom of religion applies to all Americans, not just Christians.

No one said otherwise, dude.

"I believed they should have never been bailed out" Bush

"For this fiscal term." Forever. It's over.

"Sorry, but Houston has ALWAYS been a liberal city in Texas." No, I have family there and they always vote Republican. But who cares. It's over. The second person involved was just arrested. They are busted and PP is free.

why don't you take two seconds to google the case is Houston, and the fact the prosecutor was a self described conservative pro-life supporter.

Sure, but that doesn't mean anything. We had Arnold as governor and he couldn't get anything done in California with a progressive legislative council, there was NO WAY he could really get anything really passed what he wanted. So I'm not at all surprised about the fallout of it.

She couldn't get an indictment, which is not hard to do,

Oh, yes it is when your boss is a progressive partisan.

and she decided to charge the makers of the film. Just because you think

Not think, please continue....

Houston is liberal doesn't make the facts of the case go away.

Exactly, as does the facts that you guys are off the wall if you honestly think that one of the biggest donors to the Democratic party is going to go down in flames and the most deeply partisan progressive president is going to allow that to happen, that ain't going to happen, even I know that. That's just common sense.

Please look at facts. Her name is Devon Anderson.

I know, I did my homework, that's why I'm telling you.

I can't quote on my phone, but Bernie supports breaking up big banks, so you are kind of supporting him by suggesting that.

Buddy, there is NO money, power or force on God's green Earth that would EVER push me to vote for Bernie, let alone ANY socialist.

Yes, Democrats bailed out the banks, but come on on that was unavaidable.

I believed they should have never been bailed out, they should have used our bankruptcy laws, let them restructure and take it from that, but NO bailouts!

The problem is how to prevent this again. Hillary would be like Obama in these matters, so I support Bernie.

I agree, except for the last part.

I have paid off my student loans, so not looking for a handout there. I honestly don't believe Bernie can pull that off anyway. I support his integrity and anti-establishment, anti Wall Street view.

On that part, I do as well, but his idea for what he wants for America and implementing it, goes against everything this country stands for. There is no way the guy would ever make it to the White House.

Facts are facts. PP prevailed.

For this fiscal term.

In a Conservative setting. I have been to Houston too. NO, they are very very conservative and PP still prevailed.

Sorry, but Houston has ALWAYS been a liberal city in Texas.

http://www.bustle.com/articles/65169-7-surprisingly-liberal-us-cities-in-places-you-wouldnt-expect

Didn't the bank bailouts start under Bush then CONTINUED under Obama?

Under failed Democratic policies that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd of the Housing committee went wild with Fannie Mae to write loans for people that couldn't afford them or pay them back, even when Bush tried to reign them in they still did it and the mess started as we know.

But I don't blame either party for the banking fiasco.

I do.

PP prevailed and the Conservatives supported this (and busted down the criminals to fraudulently tried to bring them down). busted is busted. PP is the winner.

Dude, save it, been to Houston many times, über liberal, might as well could've had the trial in San Francisco. That's the only reason.

A Houstin grand jury, lead by a republican conservative,

Once you said, "Houston" you lost the argument. Houston is the ONLY blue dot in a sea of the largest Red State. They have a gay major (absolutely nothing wrong with that) but come on. I know from the go, if the trial is in that city, forget it.

found the videos to be edited and the makers to be guilty of forging government documents. Nothing to do with the attorney general or Obama.

Uh-huh and Paris Hilton will be our next Attorney General.

Bernie Sanders Supporter do not want free stuff.

Don't give me that! 86% of almost all college students will vote for Bernie because that is one of the biggest issues for college students and that's the out of control fees that's burdening them and if they can get Bernie to take as much from the 1% which are not that many, then he needs to take it from the Middle class and they're already stretched to the max and wants to tax them more for some BS socialist utopia that will never come to fruition.

We want the subsidies that currently go to big business to help all the people, not the 1%.

You might want to start with getting the Federal government out of bed with the banks and the BOE that would be a big start to bringing down the cost of education.

Do a little research about how much money power companies and the like receive from the government.

And if you have Bernie as president, you're going to have more of the government in your pocket, NO thanks!

We want big banks to stop gambling with other people's money. We want to prevent big banks from destroying the economy and then taking a whole lot of bailouts.

Democrats supported the huge bailouts and you still want another liberal socialist in the WH?

They are making how much money now? Why are they not required to pay back the government? That's a handout if I ever heard of one. We want our taxes to be used differently.

I agree, but I want it done with less government, not more government. I don't think the country could go on another 4 or 8 years with more progressive based policies and higher taxation. If you look at California, we have an alarming rate of cities that are filing for bankruptcy, one of the most prosperous states in the union that has not been for the most part destroyed financially through radical progressive policies.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

"Obama would do everything to keep her out of jail."

"Of course it's not up to the president"

Which is it? This is saying two different things. Bush kept Libby out of prison but Libby had to be convicted first BEFORE this executive action. Libby still has a criminal record. Hillary hasn't been convicted and it seems she will never be.

PP did no wrong doing. Proof: A Republican AG and in a Republican state (Texas) with probably mostly republican members of a grand jury agreed to investigate PP and found no wrong doing. moreover, the people who provided the evidence did so fraudulently and were arrested.

Of course it's not up to the president, but if you think he wants Sanders to take over his Satalinist policies, you're sadly mistaken. Who else is out there? The Dems have really No one else, so Of course Obama would do everything to keep her out of jail. No one said, he would be upfront or transparent about it.

"Obama is NOT going to let or allow Hillary to see the light of day in San Quentin" Not up to the President (look at Scooter Libby)

0 ( +1 / -1 )

There's no place to "fall," for Pete's sake! The video was heavily editted to create the impression that the law was being borken and the attorney general's office determined after a thorough investigation that no laws had indeed been broken.

Utter and complete ludicrous! I'll say this, who is the Attorney General? Loretta Lynch, who is her boss? Barack Hussein Obama. That says everything, so if you think that Obama given the progressive that he is you'd think maybe he had his hand in it quite possibly? You say the video was edited, you have NO way of knowing that and equally, we have NO way of knowing that Obama didn't in some form whispered in Lynch's ear to find a way to make the people that were selling baby parts the victims and the people that exposed them the criminals, I was NOT in the least bit shocked when that happened, like with the IRS scandals and even if Hillary is found guilty, Obama is NOT going to let or allow Hillary to see the light of day in San Quentin. Anyone that thinks otherwise is smoking too much herb.

None. Zero. Zilch. The facts of the case -- the "truth" -- isn't anything that's open to any kind of convoluted "interpretation."

I understand and respect your opinion, but I'm not buying it, not for a second given how dishonest and how much this president overreached his executive powers and privileges, No way!

If conservative believe the video, then they are gullible morons who will buy into anything, regardless of what facts may contradict their worldview.

Oh, please, likewise! If liberals believe that Planned Parenthood is mostly for the most part a giant abortion and body part sales auction shop, they are living in an alternate Galaxy.

Take climate change, for instance. 90% of climatologists agree that it's actually happening and is being influenced by people, but deniers, overwhelmingly made up of conservatives, trot out that remaning 10% of scientists and exclaim that their position is vindicated. It's frustratingly absurd.

Another losing argument, there are many, many scientists that I've heard argue the opposite. My best friend works for CBS in Las Vegas, he's a licensed meteorologist, a liberal and always talks about how the whole global warming mumble mumble is a complete ruse. Yes, there are liberals out there that don't believe in the hype. He's a liberal, an Obama supporter, not some hardcore conservative, but he rolls his eyes every time he hears this madness.

What "whole thing about Obamacare?"Before it, some 55 million Americans had no health insurance. After it, that number dropped to 32 million. What was the lie here?

The whole ruse with that it was supposed to be affordable and even though the poor are insured, more and more of the middle class are having problems paying their premiums, my sister is now paying 150% more on her health plan which was already high and now it's getting harder for her to pay on it and she's thinking about canceling it and just pay the penalty. There are many hospitals in California that flat out refuse to take Obamacare because it's so complicated and toxic for the most part. Not so affordable, keeping your doctor was a complete lie. This is why more and more people in the middle want it repealed.

Not a one of the current candidates has put forth an actual defense of themselves as a candidate, but rather has devoted a ridiculous amount of time, energy, and money instead to just tearing down each other -- and Clinton, of course. It's almost as if they're saying, "Yeah, I know I'm a crappy choice. But look at that other guy!"

Personally and honestly speaking, none of these candidates are Earth shockingly outstanding on both sides.

That's not statesmanship and it's now how our presidents should be chosen. Make the case for yourself. Don't let your candidacy rest on what the other guy did or didn't do, but rather whatyou bring to the table, regardless of the other candidates. Then let the voters decide.

Believe me when I tell you, Bernie is starting to attack Hillary more about her emails and he has to, that's if he wants to survive this and make waves with the voters and pull further ahead.

Meanwhile, how do you reconcile claims that conservatives are all about "honesty" and "integrity" when they seem to still offer broad support to Trump who has brought lying to a whole new level with some of the zingers he's thrown out there?

I could say the same about the Dems, besides her base, the majority of liberals overall don't like her, but they still support her and why? Rather her than a conservative and the thinking is the same when it comes to Trump for conservatives.

Even when proven that he's lying, he laughs it off with the hubris of, "I could shoot people and not lose voters" while his supporters still cheer his name -- almost as if they want to be lied to,

The same goes for Hillary, robotic, constantly and is an all around chronic lying machine, many of her supporters don't care, whether it's about Benghazi or the mails, you are making a losing partisan argument that whatever side you are on politically fall on, it can't be won.

if for no other reason than to preserve the delicately crafted fantasy world they live in where every terrorist is a Muslim,

No, but to dismiss the fact that there are radicals that want to kill is grossly irresponsible!

every poor person is a freeloader,

It's getting to that point, otherwise, a Sanders could never get that popular in this country, especially 8 years ago.

No, but we had a president that perjured himself under oath, that is very, very bad.

Weak argument, but if you want to make one about equality, why doesn't the president have enough female staff in the WH on his payroll?

every homosexual is simply an experimenting college student,

No, but I think it's not the schools decision to push homosexual agendas or classes that maybe some parents might objectionable.

marriage is solely the perview of Christians who hold an exclusive right to define "love,"

What about Atheists pushing for anything that's Christian in society to be taken away or removed, regardless of where it is. Even mentioning the word God gets you scorn and verbal attacks from these groups, that's ok?

every minority facing adversity in education, society, or the workplace just isn't trying hard enough,

No, the public schools are a joke and the unions are huge cash cows for the Democratic Party. They completely forgot what their purpose was.

every socialist is Stalin, every foreign nation is woefully ignorant of world affairs, and the United States of America is the first and last moral authority in the entire world by virtue of military might.

Every socialist wants FREE stuff. Every foreign nation by a lot of the comments, here included are ignorant about US affairs. That last part, you are pretty much right about that and that's not my sole personal opinion, but statistically and realistically.

Actually, not quite true. A felony seems to have been committed. The grand jury that was investigating accusations of criminal misconduct against Planned Parenthood on Monday instead indicted the leader of the anti-abortion group.

A felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to buying human tissue.

Mrs. Bill Clinton got 518 votes and Comrade Bernie got 460. But after it was all over, somebody realized there was only about 900 people in the room.

Forgive my rusty math skills, but 518 + 460 equals about 900 last time I heard. Perhaps Mr. Heidi Cruz (née Nelson - she's where the money comes from, after all, as well as her family's health insurance until she quit her job and her husband dropped the ball on arranging alternatives through Obamacare ) should start an Iowagate investigation.

A person was interviewed by CSPAN today claiming the vote counting was a fraud. Since it was done by supposedly counting raised hands -- and writing the tallies down on paper - in one room, Mrs. Bill Clinton got 518 votes and Comrade Bernie got 460. But after it was all over, somebody realized there was only about 900 people in the room.

Heh, the fix is already in. . . .

"Large majorities and would have given Americans the choice of leaving their insurance companies for a government run program similar to Medicare. Obamacare is just the opposite and is trying to force millions of uninsured people to run to the insurance companies" ObamaCare originally had the public option and WHICH political party knocked it down? Public healthcare has a much better record for catastrophic cases than private plans. I was excited about the Public option and the Republicans spoiled it. Medicaid does a great job of treating serious childhood illnesses, for example. I'd love to have Medicaid for protection against serious illnesses. Then if you want something supplemental like a more private room or some exotic treatment thenpay for it or get extra insurance.

You don't just decide to get health insurance AFTER you get sick. It's not fair for the insurance companies. You can't have pre-ex. condition coverage without a mandate.

Large majorities and would have given Americans the choice of leaving their insurance companies for a government run program similar to Medicare. Obamacare is just the opposite and is trying to force millions of uninsured people to run to the insurance companies to purchase policies despite the fact that these same insurance companies were part of the problem in the first place.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

The young people are seeing that Obamacare is penalizing the young and healthy to pay for the sick and older Americans, and it's just not something that is fair.

I totally agree. There should be two types of health insurance, one for the young and health and the other for the old and infirm. Just set a simple date for the day you will have to convert from one type to the other and save like hell your whole life in the hope that you'll be able to afford the premiums.

It's not fair for the insurance companies. You can't have pre-ex. condition coverage without a mandate. This is what the Conservatives originally said. When you get old you have those major surgeries, broken hips, all those things old people get and it is very fair that they paid for insurance all those young years waiting for the "big one"...or are you making an argument for Medicare for all?

Bass,

I'm not even going to debate the PP issue, because Liberals will believe in their minds the video was fraudulent and conservatives will believe the horrors of what PP really stand for, no one is going to win it, it just depends where you fall on that.

There's no place to "fall," for Pete's sake! The video was heavily editted to create the impression that the law was being borken and the attorney general's office determined after a thorough investigation that no laws had indeed been broken. None. Zero. Zilch. The facts of the case -- the "truth" -- isn't anything that's open to any kind of convoluted "interpretation." If conservative believe the video, then they are gullible morons who will buy into anything, regardless of what facts may contradict their worldview. Take climate change, for instance. 90% of climatologists agree that it's actually happening and is being influenced by people, but deniers, overwhelmingly made up of conservatives, trot out that remaning 10% of scientists and exclaim that their position is vindicated. It's frustratingly absurd.

The whole thing about Obamacare . . .

What "whole thing about Obamacare?"Before it, some 55 million Americans had no health insurance. After it, that number dropped to 32 million. What was the lie here?

Both sides play that game and again, depending on where you fall and what your worldview perspective is, you'll do you damndest to get your party into the WH.

Yes, I already stated that politicians lie on all sides of table, and yes, to do everything possible to win is certainly a part of the political process in the U.S., but lying outright in order to inflame voters and generate wholly contrived outrage seems to be the go-to for Rebublican candidates over the last three election cycles.

But look at that other guy!" That's not statesmanship and it's now how our presidents should be chosen. Make the case for yourself. Don't let your candidacy rest on what the other guy did or didn't do, but rather whatyou bring to the table, regardless of the other candidates. Then let the voters decide.

Meanwhile, how do you reconcile claims that conservatives are all about "honesty" and "integrity" when they seem to still offer broad support to Trump who has brought lying to a whole new level with some of the zingers he's thrown out there? Even when proven that he's lying, he laughs it off with the hubris of, "I could shoot people and not lose voters" while his supporters still cheer his name -- almost as if they want to be lied to, if for no other reason than to preserve the delicately crafted fantasy world they live in where every terrorist is a Muslim, every poor person is a freeloader, only liberals have extramarital affairs, every woman's womb is the property of the men around her, every homosexual is simply an experimenting college student, marriage is solely the perview of Christians who hold an exclusive right to define "love," every minority facing adversity in education, society, or the workplace just isn't trying hard enough, every socialist is Stalin, every foreign nation is woefully ignorant of world affairs, and the United States of America is the first and last moral authority in the entire world by virtue of military might.

Clinton’s victory in Iowa means she will collect 23 delegates and Sanders will win 21. With her advantage in super delegates — the party officials who can support the candidate of their choice — Clinton now has a total of 385 delegates. Sanders has 29.

Really? The DEMOCRATIC party is undemocratic?

@MarkG @SuperLib Like SuperLib said, even a Grand Jury in TEXAS set up by a REPUBLICAN governor with a REPUBLICAN District Attorney found that Planned Parenthood was not only Innocent, but that the "Activists" who illegally recorded and edited a video of a Planned Parenthood official were Guilty for slander and misappropriation of footage. I think that just goes to how innocent planned parenthood is: even republicans are hopping off the "fetal parts" bandwagon.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Superlib, "logic," "evidence," and "proof" for some are insignificant background noise to their permanent narrative. Presented with reality, these types can't help but revert to their permanent loop mode - nothing else exists or can exist, and thus, argument is impossible. Well the rest of us are going off of the dozen or so investigations which said she did not do anything wrong. You are holding on to hope I suppose?

Fetus parts are for sale.

And now you're 2 for 2. Investigations into PP revealed that they are not "selling body parts" and that no federal money goes towards abortions. And here you are saying the exact opposite of the conclusions of Republican investigations. With people like you, it seems the GOP wins just by starting investigations regardless of the outcome, no?

True to an extent, but the Dems play the same dirty card and you know it. The whole thing about Obamacare was a complete ruse to push that thing forward and as fast as the Dems could, the lies about Planned Parenthood, the IRS targeting conservatives.

rallying even to this day behind a proven fraudulent video of Planned Parenthood breaking the law, lying flat out about A) the economy, B) the Affordable Healthcare Act, C) immigration in virtually every aspect.

I'm not even going to debate the PP issue, because Liberals will believe in their minds the video was fraudulent and conservatives will believe the horrors of what PP really stand for, no one is going to win it, it just depends where you fall on that.

But the GOP... Wow, the GOP. It has raised the art of Anything for a Win to obscene levels.

Wait now! Both sides play that game and again, depending on where you fall and what your worldview perspective is, you'll do you damndest to get your party into the WH.

The GOP has absolute zero room to criticize anyone in the race on "honor" or "integrity."

To a point that is true, but given the last 7 years, I don't think at this particular point and time, Dems have a serious problem with integrity and there is a litany trail that will prove that.

They left those at the door the moment they even entertained the possibility of officially backing candidates like Cruz or Trump

It's a given that all politicians lie to some extent, some more or less than others. Even Bernie Sanders has floated a few that would make more reasonable people take notice with a justifiable, "huh?" ("[Texas Republicans] believe in abolishing Social Security, abolishing V.A. health care.")

The Republican inmates are just a whacky sideshow.

Translation: Dems are coming to gripes with the serious realization that our next president will probably be a Republican.

Cruz has had now had his moment, the slithy toad.

Serious! Hillary practically invented the word: slithy and slime.

Up there with fellow Iowan champions Santorum and Huckabee.

And you guys had O'Malley, what's up with that?

This wass the best possible outcome for the rest of the world eagerly looking on to watch the internal combustion of the insane Republican party.

That may be, but Trump and Cruz are not of the tradition GOP, so we really don't have anything to worry about. So that's how you explain the huge voter turnout for Trump and Cruz?

Being a narcissistic megalomaniac Cruz will now hang on forever for the Astlum nomination before inevitably suspending his campaign because everyone hates him.

Will Hillary do the same since she's untrustworthy by 67% of the public?

Trump will carry on being Trump and possibly even carry on with an independent run.

That's what the voters seem to want. Winning 2nd place isn't something to laugh about.

Rubio is now the establishment candidate, he'll get the nomination.

Like Cruz being Hispanic, has huge, very huge benefits!

Watching the Republican party tear itself apart at the seams is and has been a thing of beauty to behold.

True and we see the same thing slowly happen on the Dems side. Sanders definitely won last night. As to how Hillary pulled that off is beyond.....I mean, no, it's not, typical. Democrats are now in a struggle against the establishment Dems and the looney progressive, repressive and living in an alternate stratosphere.

Heh. and it's just beginning. Enjoy...

Buddy, you got that right.

Republican turnout form 2012, up 50% to around 220k.

If that trend continues, then the Democrats will lose the general.

That's what it's looking like, but you never know exactly. Too early to tell.

The key is keeping the Obama coalition together and having whoever wins the primary get his or her supporters to turn out with enthusiasm.

That will happen on both sides of the political aisle.

The first should be fairly easy. Get Obama to run around and drum up support for Team Dem.

At this point, Obama is toxic and might do more harm than good.

The second, if Sanders loses, which is likely at this point, is not so easy.

Hmmmm....

Wining by .2% is not winning or certainly not beating back Sanders. Hillary was the anointed queen of the Democrats and she was beaten back to the 50% of those, willing to vote for a corrupt politician and felon. The other half voted for the proud Marxist Sanders.

The Democrats should just give up. After,8 years of the Obama disaster followed up with felons and maxists, they have no chance.

First of all, I am not a republican, second of all I don't make the blanket statements unwarranted, third of all my opinion on Hillary is simply that. The libs praise this woman, I see her as a snake in the grass his only interest is for Chelsea and herself. Benghazi, she slipped up and 4 dead Americans. Fetus parts are for sale. As for the indictment possibility, it comming closer. Patreas paid a higher price for his lack of discretion for lesser crime. Hillary, still Teflon coated.

So, please distinguish the difference of labeling 1/2 or more of the USA morons simply due to political party as many liberals do. It's incredibly shallow.

Good post Black Sabbath. Seems like the other side is screaming for change now. The non-white working-class just stood at home yesterday because, to them, its just "another" election.

I feel blessed to have two such outstanding candidates vying for the presidency in the Democratic Party. They are a credit to all of us, especially when contrasted with the GOP.

A neoliberal who voted for the Iraq war and is a puppet to her banking donors, or a wacky socialist that visited the USSR for his honeymoon and told the guards he met that the US would lose the Cold War. Gee, what a credit.

Hilary won 6 out of 6 coin tosses for caucus ties, which is statistically impossible yet no recounts either. The fix was in early.

Improbable, perhaps, but nothing is statistically impossible with coin tosses. Still, the Iowa caucuses are an anachronism with rules rivaling Calvinball in their tortuousness that should be banished forever from the face of the Earth, at least according to this very funny article. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/iowa-caucus-kill-it_us_56b11910e4b08069c7a5405a

Some important facts and a conclusion or two for Democrats about the Iowa results.

First, Sanders dominated the youth vote (under 29). Four out of every five caucus goers under 29 years old went for Sanders.

Second, Sanders dominated the white college educated liberal vote. He basically matched Clinton in the other age brackets and, with the yunguns, put him over the top.

Third, Clinton dominated the working class, and particularly, the non-white vote.

Conclusion: Sanders has NOT broken out of his college educated white liberal base. He will have a hard time winning the nomination (even without the superdelegate bs) if he cannot appeal to working class and particularly black voters. Corollary: at least not this election. The future of Democratic party is going to be much more left wing.

Fact: turnout for the Dems was 170k. In 2008, turnout was something like 240k. Where were all the Dems? At home. Whereas Obama brought out working class non-whites, yesterday they stayed home.

The superdelegates have always favored the establishment candidate. Remember in 2008, Obama faced the same thing. He was winning lots of the primaries and getting those delegates, but for a long time still trailed in the delegate count because of the number who said they were going to go for Hillary.

Thankfully, superdelegates are not locked. So those three hundred plus that have said they are for Clinton or are expected to go for Clinton can still change. This is also what happened in 2008, when it became clear Obama had the momentum and the people's approval. A ton of the superdelegates switched sides.

Hilary won 6 out of 6 coin tosses for caucus ties, which is statistically impossible yet no recounts either. The fix was in early.

Despite the 22-21 delegate win, (23-21 as the winner gets a +1 for the state), Sanders' fate rests on winning NH and the primaries afterwards. It'll be a question if his message has resonated with others or if their minds have been made up already.

The remaining undecided superdelegates are 210. If they cannot commit to Clinton and go to Sanders it would still make it a race. But it's looking really tough for Sanders' supporters.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Ahhh those wonderful super delegates. Does anyone really believe these SD are not just paid cronies?

That's some fuzzy math, considering Iowa was pretty much a tie. Just goes to show how much a democracy America really is. If you ain't the Wall Street established, war hawk candidate, your chances are slim to none.

How dare you question the Crown!
