Russia is acting in support of it's own political, and financial, interests. And Russia is interfering in a civil war.

Love how the attempt to overthrow a democratically elected government by pretending that a very limited and constricted clause in the constitution is unlimited and has no constrictions and conditions on its use is somehow 'transitioning Venezuela to democracy by constitutional means'.

It is rather like pretending that the outright theft of billions from the people of Venezuela by the American government isn't causing hardships and pressuring the Venezuelan people to submit to being ruled by whoever Washington selects as its straw boss.
