Too bad a rational conversation regarding this issue is impossible. Some places on the border need intensive fencing; some should have none at all (wildlife). Can we please just be rational?

Better off building a wall around the White House to keep him away from America.

Democrats and Republicans already agreed to let the GOP decide on border security in previous bipartisan immigration bills. The GOP hardliners rejected the deal, largely on the issue of a path to citizenship. The GOP had made that too toxic to accept and it effectively killed compromise.

I think most people would support some kind of increase in security in areas with a lot of traffic, then scale down the resource allocation in more remote areas. The wall idea overall is just kind of dumb and emotional.

Don’t cut off the Dems supply of illegal aliens. How else they going to get support for socialism once the next Dem president grants them citizenship via executive fiat? Oh, and big business need their cheap labor.

So how do you explain former president Obama’s wall around the White House while he was in office? He even built a wall around his new multi-million dollar home after leaving the presidency. Guess that settles it - Obama is a proven bigot.
