"We went through hell, unfairly, did nothing wrong - did nothing wrong. I've done things wrong in my life, I will admit, not purposely, but I've done things wrong," he said.

Comedy gold. It's difficult to say which is more amusing, Trump's ludicrous lies or how many people actually believe him. Or don't believe him yet still support him even though he's a crook.

Anyway, the bloated fraudster was screaming and cursing with apoplectic fury at his poodle Boris Johnson this week. This really bodes well for future trade deals, doesn't it.

Unhinged and vulgar, Donny shows why he is unfit to be a President once again.

17 ( +27 / -10 )

Cannot decide what’s worse, his dementia or his demented followers.

16 ( +26 / -10 )

The dictatorship is looking after its own. The sycophants roar their approval and all seems well.

For now.

Some Republicans believe that this impeached potus will be chastened now and his more base and petulant instincts will be reined in.

Not a chance. Just what will he do next?

Mitt Romney's stance was brave. He committed to the oath he took and rose above the lies and partisanship. He will, of course, be vilified because of his backbone.

I don't often commend politicians in his party, and for good reason, but well said, sir.

13 ( +26 / -13 )

Wow you guys are really mad that your whole entire narrative fell apart again huh? Sorry not sorry.

A criminal got acquitted because he didn’t allow any witnesses at his trial and his band of imbeciles supported him. The only people they should feel sorry for is themselves.

the main speech was not vulgar and was not given during the prayer breakfast.

No surprise that a vulgar man’s followers feel so. Not only was it vulgar but downright disgusting. The tight hug to Ivanka but a cold peck to Melania.

Boy, that family is really screwed!!!!

12 ( +15 / -3 )

Donnie Trump - making America grate again.....

11 ( +18 / -7 )

ulyssesToday  07:38 am JST

Cannot decide what’s worse, his dementia or his demented followers.

His followers. Like any other politician, Trump couldn't get anywhere without lots of people willing to elect him and be willfully blind to his faults. He'd be screwed right now if the US Constitution didn't allow for highly politicised Senate impeachment trials that basically put his fate in the hands of loyalists in his own party. Just consider the standards that apply to any other court, in America and elsewhere, and let it sink in.

11 ( +17 / -6 )

Hilarious that this vulgar speech was during National Prayer Breakfast.

We always knew Donny prayed to the devil!!!!!

11 ( +18 / -7 )

Still our President. MAGA!

Yes, but what does this mantra actually mean?

Over the years, one has been repeatedly told just how great America is. So does this mean it stopped being great and 3 years into this debacle, it's still not great?

As ever, look forward to your interesting and enlightening reply.

Meanwhile, when do get to see the tax returns? Now that he has nothing to hide...

10 ( +20 / -10 )

A parade of losers. Can't deny that.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

There was an article today that mentioned many Republicans were too afraid to vote for anything but acquital. Peer pressure is alive and well.

Something for those gloating about 'MAGA' can chew on.

It's as meaningless as a gymnast winning a competition because her countrymen gave her the highest scores.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

whole entire narrative fell apart again huh?

Fell apart? Your interpretation. But then those who cheer on Russian 'meddling', those who trust the Kremlin and not US and other 'western' intelligence agencies' reports, those who want the democratic principles the republic's based on, will have an anti-American slant that the narrative fell apart.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Anti-Trumpers have spent 3 plus years calling Trump and his supporters dolts, racists, white supremacists, xenophobes, morons, illiterate, uneducated, deplorables, misogynists, and stupid

And have been proven right every day!!!!

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Noidall: I disagree.

Who cares?

62 million people are all not racist misogynist. Just like 65 million who voted the other way are not all unprejudiced , unbiased, and fair.

If you're a racist, sexist, bigot, xenophobe, white supremacist, you voted for Trump. It doesn't mean that all Trump voters are this. Some just support a loser because they want revenge, others are single issue voters like guns, abortion, religion, some voted for what they think is their pocketbook, etc.

But make no mistake, they all voted for a loser who insults children and Gold Star Moms. And they love him for it.

Losers.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

BlacklabelToday  07:54 am JST

Acquitted.

By people who were never, ever going to convict him under any circumstances.

What a wonderful word and result.*

It certainly sounds better than "whitewash."

6 ( +12 / -6 )

BlacklabelToday  08:11 am JST

Wow you guys are really mad that your whole entire narrative fell apart again huh?

Could have been rock solid and it wouldn't have made any difference whatsoever.

Sorry not sorry.

Very... mature of you.

the main speech was not vulgar and was not given during the prayer breakfast. But to spin your loss however you want.

Looks like you're trying to spin a great victory out of a somewhat less impressive foregone conclusion.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

@Ulysses

‘Make America hate again ‘

Let's not kid ourselves. America's division has absolutely nothing to do with Trump. Yes, there are people emboldened by him. However, this division has always been there.

"It was all bullsh*t,"

Trump needs to stop kidding himself. Majority of his party has come out and admitted that he did everything the Democrats said he did and the evidence against him was overwhelming. They simply couldn't get behind a partisan impeachment. The impeachment wouldn't be partisan if Republicans were not so afraid of alienating voters before an election.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Noidall: Anti-Trumpers have spent 3 plus years calling Trump and his supporters dolts, racists, white supremacists, xenophobes, morons, illiterate, uneducated, deplorables, misogynists, and stupid.

If you're misogynist, racist, xenophobic, white supremacist.....you voted for Trump. But they aren't all stupid. The smart ones give the narratives to the semi-literates as a means of control.

I will point out that they're all losers in my book. I don't care how much money you have or how pretty your wife is, if you attack children and Gold Star Mothers, scam people out of money, and discriminate against minorities, then you're just a straight up loser.

Can't deny it.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Then considering all that he would have been removed and looking at the polls and his overall numbers, not at all.

Nobody doubted he was popular amongst the nutters.

Someone who goes to National Prayer Breakfast and still is his low class vulgar self can only have nutters on his side.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Trump's acquittal has set a deadly precedent. It states that from now on, future Presidents can and have the power to interfere and manipulate elections as they please, make backdoor deals to get whatever they want, and not be held accountable to any laws that they break. Americans' privacy will now forever be open to the power of the President. This decision proves that POTUS can do anything he or she wishes even though it is illegal and hurtful to others.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Trump's brazen public display of belligerence lacking any sign of contrition bodes ill for his remaining months in office. The moving words spoken by the still, small voice of Mitt Romney's conscience will forever record a blot and stain on the memory of this demented huckster and haunt his craven Republican enablers until their dying days. The Dems now know that they must continue to pursue justice for the sake of the nation's honor besmirched in the eyes of the whole world by driving this incorrigibly vulgar charlatan out of office BEFORE November. The Constitution demands no less of Americans who would defend their "democracy".

6 ( +9 / -3 )

 headline "Trump acquitted."

With an asterisk forever signifying IMPEACHED.

And along with Trump's fat asterisk if there is any justice, it is to be hoped a bigly number of his Republican enablers will kiss their political careers goodbye.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

His slogan should be

‘Make America hate again ‘

5 ( +14 / -9 )

Acquitted. What a wonderful word and result.

Exactly what OJ’s lawyers said.....

5 ( +11 / -6 )

Bolton’s book is going to be out soon.

Be ready for another round of demented rantings....

5 ( +9 / -4 )

The dictatorship is looking after its own. The sycophants roar their approval and all seems well.

@bas4fGreat!

Thank you for honest-ing up and admitting you're anti-republic and pro-dictatorship. On that you have been consistent.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Mr. NoidallToday  08:40 am JST

...they want to point their noses and say we're all "mature" in a sarcastic tone.

I see that you missed the "sorry but not sorry" comment that was actually referring to so you're clearly disingenuous.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

SuperLib: If you're a racist, sexist, bigot, xenophobe, white supremacist, you voted for Trump

Noidall: Ok. If you say so.

It's really just common sense, unless you think black people teamed up with racists to vote for Clinton?

That's why we call the left regressives and super intolerant.

Who cares?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

White liberals are some of the most racist people one can ever have the misfortune of meeting.

Dylan Roof is a Trump person

5 ( +7 / -2 )

 headline "Trump acquitted."

With an asterisk forever signifying IMPEACHED.

The dream is over corporate Dems.

A reality is with Trump in the White House backed financially by the global elite the corporate Republicans can retain their stranglehold. I recall hearing Trump supporters say he was going to take control back from the 'global elite', and now they're cheering them backing him?

His followers.

It's understandable that roughly 35% of Americans, i.e. its fundamentalist base, those true-believers who still believe a messiah will save them, back a big brother-type who claims he'll protect them from the 'others'. Cult of personality redux.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

@blacklabEven Meghan McCain won’t accept Romney.

If so that kind of thwarts the alt right's narrative it's either all Trump or whatever the polar opposite might be, nothing in between. Good to see an example shown of an individual having an opinion that's not all one pole or the other. Not Trump's way or libs/dems. A start. Kudos!

4 ( +6 / -2 )

The Congressional Representatives and Senators sounded very serious about the charges they were bringing against the President . . . It is unbelievable to think they intended any malice . . . . The President should welcome the criticism of others - like an open minded person.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

@mrnoial62 million people are all not racist misogynist. Just like 65 million who voted the other way are not all unprejudiced , unbiased, and fair.

On that I agree. As learnt in statistics classes in any large population outliers and anomalies are bound to occur. No doubt with the dozens of millions who voted for Trump there probably are some who aren't racist and misogynistic.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

If you're misogynist, racist, xenophobic, white supremacist.....you voted for Trump

Very probably. That doesn’t mean everyone who voted for Trump falls into that category, but I’m pretty sure he got the lion’s share.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Dimwit Donnie really blew it big time by giving the Medal of Freedom to a drug abuser and proud white supremacist.

No, but why do Democrats worship Wilson and Byrd and why do they allow a governor and his Lt. that mocked blacks remain in power?

Isn't it interesting that the only replies you get are more "But What About" - there were five yesterday...well, thanks for agreeing with me...

So I guess all those Repubs and all the Trumpers here agree with his comments like; "Slavery wasn't so bad - it kept the streets safe at night", or "take that bone out of your nose and call me back", or Obama is "halfrican American"...

And Democrats as well as liberals always gloss over their respected idols with racist pasts. Smh...

And more of the same....

And it looks like this poster forgot his comments yesterday....

Limbaugh: “I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

Bass: Laws implemented and created by Democrats

Limbaugh: “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”

Bass: Well....

Lombaugh:  [To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”**

Bass: I remember conservatives clings to their guns and religions....

Limbaugh: “Let the unskilled jobs that take absolutely no knowledge whatsoever to do — let stupid and unskilled Mexicans do that work.”

Bass: California seems happy with this.

Can't run away from your own comments...

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Trump-Pence 2020 all the way, Baby!

No it's Trump forever. Did anyone see his tweet? He will never leave the WH. Even if he loses the election he will refuse to leave.

The Dems only know how to lose these days!

It depends on the economy. Look at Nixon vs Clinton. The economy saved Trump and it better stay strong

Trump can weather anything....he gets my vote

He won't need it since he will never leave office if his opponent beats him

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Anyway, the President was once again vindicated

No he was not!!

He was acquitted by a bunch of cowards most of whom admit in private that they are too scared to vote against him.

Because as it looks about now, he’s going to get re-elected

No it doesn't and he probably will commit a few more crimes before the elections.

And with his dementia becoming apparent to all, he's taking the party down with him.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

He was,

No he was not, he was acquitted in the senate.

> Utter and laughable nonsense. Lol

No its not, though it doesn't affect his thinking ability , there wasn't much to begin with, ROFL.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

why no liberals have any interest at all about what he said? Isn’t schiff guilty of obstruction for not allowing anyone to see a transcript?

same could be said of Trump for not allowing any documents to be released or witnesses in the trial,

seriously what democratic legal system has a trial without documentation or witnesses, witnesses with first hand knowledge of Trump's conversation!?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

As a non American it pains me to see the repubs act so brazenly UN-American….

That they throw their constitution & COUNTRY under the bus for this utter moron is sad to see & getting more dangerous by the day as well

I can see if this BS continues for 4+ more years the US could well end up in a UN-civil WAR!!!

Truly scary stuff watching all these spineless repubs doing their own country in & for WHAT!!!

4 ( +6 / -2 )

America has flushed itself into oblivion. Politicians who knew and admitted the presidents actions were wrong, but too morally corrupt to do anything about it. Mindless flowers whooping and cheering like they have 'won' something.

It sad, but strangely amusing.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

@zaphod aka fizzbits etc. Aquitted, so NOT impeached.

What does the global alt right glossary say 'impeachment means? Here's one definition:

Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body levels charges against a government official. Impeachment does not in itself remove the official definitively from office; it is similar to an indictment in criminal law, and thus it is essentially the statement of charges against the official.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment

4 ( +5 / -1 )

those who want the democratic principles the republic's based on

(should have written) undermined to give greater authority to the supreme leader wannabe...

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I was waiting for the Repubs sitting in their seats during the SOTU address to slide down on to the floor - tough to remain upright when you have no spine...the only one left upright would be Romney...

Dimwit Donnie really blew it big time by giving the Medal of Freedom to a drug abuser and proud white supremacist. So I guess all those Repubs and all the Trumpers here agree with his comments like; "Slavery wasn't so bad - it kept the streets safe at night", or "take that bone out of your nose and call me back", or Obama is "halfrican American"...

I hear the runner up to Rush was David Duke - another Trump backer....and third in line was Stormy Daniels...

3 ( +6 / -3 )

but I’m pretty sure he got the lion’s share.

How are you so sure?

When Trump made his ban all Muslims speech and his Mexican rapist speech, do you think he was courting the open borders people?

As I said, not all people who voted Trump are racists. Many decent people believe that border security is important, but if you are a racist, Trump is the logical choice.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

isn't it interesting that the only replies you get are more "But What About" - there were five yesterday...well, thanks for agreeing with me...

Ok, so as n typical fashion, don’t bring up racists Democrats respect. I get it.

Hey, thanks for agreeing with me. Your words...you either own them or you don't...

And more of the same....

And it looks like this poster forgot his comments yesterday....

So why do they like them and why don’t you criticize them?

It's obvious - you only have to read them...

Can't run away from your own comments.

Neither can you run from your deflections now.

Again, your words...they say everything...

3 ( +6 / -3 )

This is why Democrats can’t win, they dismiss evangelicals one of the most crucial voting blocks,

I think English language skills are coming in the way of expression here, but we get what you're trying to say.

Isn't it ironical that the Evangelicals are supporting the most unchristian of all candidates?? If a misogynist, bigot is their choice , then religion is falling off the cliff!!!!

3 ( +6 / -3 )

I'd celebrate too if I found out I was literally above the law!

And then I'd start making everything work for me. Everything.

But we all know Trump's ethics won't let him abuse the power of his office, so it's a good thing it's him, and not me.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

the main speech was not vulgar

You can't even quote the whole speech on JT because the filter won't let you post it. It'll catch a word that rhymes with fullsnit.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Good thing he had that lecturn. Without it, his swollen neck would have propelled him face-first onto the floor.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Too bad that memories are too short lived to remind you that were wrong 5 years from now.

Trump has confirmed that he will not leave office no matter what and his NRA2ATrump people will defend him staying in the WH down to the last bullet. But it's good news for the Trump people. Look at the economy at 5.5%. Why be unhappy about that if you are a Trump person? Won't the Trump magic keep the American economy steaming?

I would take that along with two more Supreme Court justices.

Does that mean fetuses over economy? Could this turn the US into one big Mississippi. Remember the senate leaders (R) come from very impoverished states like Kentucky (McConnell) and South Carolina (Graham). What happens if the US economy becomes like one big Kentucky-like economy (or that of South Carolina).

2 ( +2 / -0 )

YOU don’t personally believe he’s vindicated, that’s your choice. I don’t wan to believe he was impeached, but it happened.

well you know Clinton was acquitted during his trial, still does not change the fact that Monica gave him a BJ in the Oval office and he lied about it.

so at least we can both agree that both POTUS will have the stigma of Impeached against their names in the history books

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The Dems only know how to lose these days!

1 ( +5 / -4 )

I can see if this BS continues for 4+ more years the US could well end up in a UN-civil WAR!!!

Again it's proof since Graham and McConnell are leaders of the poorest states in the US and they are political leaders. When you went a leader you want someone from a smart state like Massachusetts. Kentucky (McConnell)? That's just one of the stupid states. So is S. Carolina (Graham). I understand people in those states are not the sharpest pencils in the bunch and God bless 'em. But they are choosing leaders of the whole country. Hello US of Mississippi.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Democrats said Trump wasted an opportunity to bring the country together.

Insert belly laugh

0 ( +2 / -2 )

American President Trump has endured constant attacks from the beginning, and it is clear that is all motivated by hatred for the man who they can't fit into the proper box.

Exactly!

He drives the left, the establishment, and the media crazy because they can't control him, and they are terrified he might throw a wrench in their corruption gig.

This is the fundamental reason why they want to remove him

And I thought the media in Japan was untrustworthy! CNN, MSNBC, CBS, PBS... virtually all of the so-called "news" outlets in the U.S. are marching lock, stock and barrel with the DNC. It's as obvious as it can get. They are cheerleaders for the left, not journalists.

I think 4 more years of Donald Trump will be great for the U.S. as well as the world.

Then, Donald Trump, Jr. can serve as President for the next 8 years after that.

I think it's going to be a good run!

Lol, you would see liberals either jumping off rooftops or moving overseas

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Anyway, the President was once again vindicated and that can’t be taken away and the best thing the Democrats can and should do is work with this President to give their constituents at least visually, give them the impression they are working for them. Because as it looks about now, he’s going to get re-elected and both sides need to work with each other. The continuous attacks on him won’t help them as history is an indicator of anything.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

No he was not!!

He was, that is legal and documented, it’s in the papers and history books, now if you want to say YOU don’t personally believe he’s vindicated, that’s your choice. I don’t wan to believe he was impeached, but it happened.

He was acquitted

Exactly.

No it doesn't and he probably will commit a few more crimes before the elections.

And with his dementia becoming apparent to all, he's taking the party down with him.

Utter and laughable nonsense. Lol

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Who cares?

Evidently liberals since they’ve been at this for 3 years unsuccessfully...

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Deflections ad infinitum ad nauseam. Learnt from the soviets and/or their Molitov/Ribbentrop Pact partners.

It’s the liberals protective mantel.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Hey, thanks for agreeing with me. Your words...you either own them or you don't...

As does yours, so we agree again. Love progress.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Readers, please stop posting this nonsense. Instead, please focus your comments on the story and not at or about each other.

I thought I read some prophet's prediction that Trump would be US' last president. I wasn't sure what that meant then I saw the trolling vid "Trump 4eva". Now it all makes sense. At this juncture, there are no good options but the Democrats really make themselves look real bad and even worst than Trump. Things will be interesting again.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Yes, that’s what impeachment is all about, the end and conviction in the Senate, he wasn’t as well as Clinton wasn’t, which in US legal terms is: “acquitted” and that’s for life. Now the Dems could try again and further ruin their chances on further eroding their chances at winning anything in the future.

No its not,

I think it is because where do the Dems want to go from here? They have tried more than 5 times to get rid of this guy and all they do is keep making him stronger. If Democrats really want to make headway in this election, go after him on the issues and prove you do better, but Dems need a real viable candidate because as of now, none of these people can beat Trump.

same could be said of Trump for not allowing any documents to be released or witnesses in the trial,

We could say the same about the last administration not overturning documents, happens in every administration.

seriously what democratic legal system has a trial without documentation or witnesses

So the House had their chance and they blew it. Blame them, they started and rushed down this road and now they’re all eating crow. Did you see Nadler last night? He looked like he got bulldozed.

, witnesses with first hand knowledge of Trump's conversation!?

The Senate wasn’t going to do the House’s dirty work. They did their job, they saw the evidence, reviewed it, saw nothing worth impeaching the President over and acquitted him. Done and can never be undone. Acquitted for life.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

A room full of happy people;what a change...)

Contrast to weirdo Schiff and his team....gloom and doom

Trump can weather anything....he gets my vote

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Complete waste of time and taxpayers dollars. The democrats really screwed that up and probably alienated a lot of their supporters, especially after Nancy ripped up her copy of the speech in public view. What a foolish woman.

Even Meghan McCain won’t accept Romney. She got mad when he was compared to her daddy and said they are nothing alike.

he thinks liberals will actually like him now. Nope, just a useful idiot for the moment like the Repubs who voted against Kavanaugh.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

Thank you for honest-ing up and admitting you're anti-republic

No, I’m anti-Democrat socialist.

And have been proven right every day!!!!

Yeah? Then considering all that he would have been removed and looking at the polls and his overall numbers, not at all.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

That Kavanaugh beer went really well with the Pizza Hut pizza yesterday :D

Trump has had to fight the DC criminals since Day One. He is the greatest president ever.

Trump-Pence 2020 all the way, Baby!

The democrats ordered impeachment pizza; it'll cost them $20.20.

The dictatorship is looking after its own. The sycophants roar their approval and all seems well.

Great!

Some Republicans believe that this impeached potus will be chastened now and his more base and petulant instincts will be reined in.

Not a chance. Just what will he do next?

Bingo.

Mitt Romney's stance was brave.

And politically foolish, but he’s got enough cash, he’ll be fine, it’s not like liberals like him, they hate him, they just hoped you had one idiot Republican to join their ranks in taking this President down and Romney was that idiot. Now he really is alone, but he has great hair.

He committed to the oath he took and rose above the lies and partisanship. He will, of course, be vilified because of his backbone.

Yeah, believe that crap if you want.

I don't often commend politicians in his party, and for good reason, but well said, sir.

Lol

A reality is with Trump in the White House backed financially by the global elite the corporate Republicans can retain their stranglehold.

God I hope so!

I recall hearing Trump supporters say he was going to take control back from the 'global elite', and now they're cheering them backing him?

Well, he’s definitely in control now more stronger than ever, thanks Nancy.

It's understandable that roughly 35% of Americans, i.e. its fundamentalist base, those true-believers who still believe a messiah will save them, back a big brother-type who claims he'll protect them from the 'others'. Cult of personality redux.

During the Senate hearing many Dems spoke about a “war” going on between Ukraine and Russia. Anyone with a pulse knew it was BS and the Dems were lying, and grandstanding, even with the news that both countries had just agreed to a gas pipeline deal.

The dream is over corporate Dems. Some tried to warn you and even Pelosi was hesitant. You will lose bigly in the next election.
