In an attempt to bolster its assertion that Iran was responsible, Saudi Arabia showed drone and missile debris it said amounted to undeniable evidence of Iranian aggression.

Are these the same Saudis who chopped up a US journalist in their embassy and then blatantly lied about it?? Do they really expect people to believe anything they say???

Can you imagine what the Repubs would be saying if this occurred during the Obama administration?

Iran shoots down a multi-million dollar US drone, hijacks an oil tanker, launches a major air attack against Saudi Arabia, and Obama says "I'll increase sanctions".....

Lindsey Graham would have to be sedated he'd be so outraged. Moscow Mitch would be using appeaser in every sentence. Repubs would be going crazy.

But what do we have now? Nothing but silence.....

Hypocrites - all of them...

Fareed Zakaria: Trump's foreign policy is in shambles

https://www.cnn.com/videos/tv/2019/09/13/exp-gps-0915-fareeds-take.cnn

President Donald Trump claimed he was a great deal maker, but after the collapse of deals with Iran, North Korea and the Taliban, has that claim been proven otherwise?

The US led by a moronic pathological liar and the lying, butchering madbeards in Saudi and Iran all involved.

What a mess.

Bass:. Obama knew that, this is the reason why we are here.

And just where are we specifically?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

No, it’s because the idiot coward Obama needed a win, something where he could say geopolitically he accomplished something since he bungled Crimea horribly.

What a load. This poster was against the Iraq War, yet suggests we should have responded militarily to defend a country we have no defense Treaty with and is not part of NATO. And he conveniently forgets that the current occupant of the White House hasn't even mentioned the word Crimea in over two and a half years. Quite the opposite, every time he meets with the leader of Russia that ordered the invasion, its "bro-time", and they back-slap and yuck it up. What an embarrassment.

That deal wasn’t a deal, it was a treaty, not even approved by Congress, therefore, any President had the absolute constitutional right to tear it up. It wasn’t binding and it would have never passed the Senate just like with DACA,

Sure did - tear up a Treaty that capped their nuclear capability and a reduced tensions that could have resulted in other peace agreements. But no - since it was negotiated by President Obama, Donnie had to tear it up. And where are we now? A US multi-million dollar drone shot down, an oil tanker captured, and Saudi Arabia attacked - a more dangerous world and another foreign policy failure for the "Stable Genius"...

Obama knew that, this is the reason why we are here. Even if that stupid treaty were left to stand nothing limited Iran’s from developing more of their ballistic missile program which they could have easily modified to equip the heads with smaller portable nukes, even before the sunset clause runs out.

The reason we are here is because the Great Orange Moron hasn't the vaguest idea what he is doing - either that or he's been ordered by Putin to start a war that will reduce the Middle East's oil output that Russia can then step in and fill. Russia wins, the US loses - the Trump/Putin strategy to Make Russia Great Again...

Seems that US intelligence people have learned NOT to share imaging with POTUS. Craft coming from Iran would be from a completely different direction than those from Yemen. Kinda obvious, that one.

There are a number of satellites controlled by the NRO and USAF (perhaps Space Command today?) which have IR capabilities. Not enough for continuous coverage and they probably wouldn't see any propeller aircraft, but jets have been tracked from space using IR, if the satellites were looking at the correct area, at the correct time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has offered to sell defense systems to Riyadh,

Putin's global diplomacy in play. Russia's been selling weapons to Saudi and has partnered with Iran in war (Syria) and gas. He's got both sides covered.

This is Putin's big opportunity to expand the Russian empire (see Eurasian Economic Union). He's got Trump the oaf, who's too busy playing golf (on the taxpayer's dollars), looking out for his and Ivanka's global businesses, and tweeting celebrities, to be bothered to look beyond what Fox and Friends tell him to do. No wonder Putin had his operatives 'meddle' in US elections to help Trump. Waiting for US and global alt rightists and 'foreign' posters to say they believe the Kremlin's reports and HillaryObama worse.

We find ourselves here because our idiot president catered to the Republican's call to slam all things Obama and renege on the Iran deal. When will we ever learn?

Can you imagine what the Repubs would be saying if this occurred during the Obama administration?

The oil tanker wasn't bound for the USA. Not our fight.

Saudi Arabia is still on our not-likeable list after killing that journalist inside Turkey, hiding it, and lying about it.

Drones are there to be shot down, rather than people.

I would hope that under any President, some sort of ejection of diplomats from the US for the Saudis would have happened after the journalist. Trump disappointed this conservative.

Please don't confuse all Republicans with people who like Trump. In the next Presidential election, the Democrats are completely in control for whom I vote. If they find someone who isn't scarier than Trump, I'll vote for that person. Sadly, the primary process forces their candidates to be so far left, I might not have any choice.

Oh, and here's some proof that Iran was involved: https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2019/09/more-evidence-points-to-iranian-cruise-missiles-drones-in-attack-on-saudi-oilfield/

Yeah, the Prince also gave "evidence" the Saudis didn't kill the journalist, too.

> An investigation into the origin of the attacks was still under way and the result will be announced at a later date, he said.

Confused bunch of liars.

Investigate what ?

Investigation has already revealed that a mix of cruise missiles and drone were launched from Iran.

Or are they investigating whether it was the Houthis that launched it from inside iran or the iranians themselves.

Nice try SA with preparing those pieces of unconvincing unburnt iron that you claim are iranian.

Are they indirectly telling us the remains of the missile and drone don't implicate Iran and that is why there is need for more investigation to prepare and provide convincing evidence.

Before I think the regime change in Iran was unnecessary, but now I think the clergy regime in Iran must change for the sake of world peace.

There was regime change in iraq, libya and Afganistan all ochestrated by the U.S.

I am sure the people in these countries and the world as a whole are enjoying the peace brought about by the regime change.

Who will effect regime change in the U.S. or put on trial those who lied and invaded other countries destroying, killing millions and inflicting untold suffering and terror to it's people.

It is the arrogance or would I say ignorance of people like you especially those in power that lead to conflicts around the world.

Yeah, we are a superpower, it is our divine right to go into any country and put into place a regime of our liking.

Arrogance, arrogance.

Thank God Iran is enriching again and increasing hostilities. So much better than that disasterous situation under Obama.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The attack was initiated in Iran. If you repeat that statement long and often enough, do the copy and paste ad infinitum, you start to believe it, but, uhh, where is the proof?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Saudi Arabia displays attack evidence

Great. Though I don't trust the Iranian government's word, I'd like to see this evidence. If it's proven that the Iranians were involved, let's see if the additional sanctions that Trump just ordered have any positive effect. If not, I guess the Saudis better start firing up some of those weapons they've spent billions of dollars on and take care of the problem.

The US should destroy Iranian Missile launchers and Radar stations in Iran. Iran sponsors all kinds of terrorism in the world. Before I think the regime change in Iran was unnecessary, but now I think the clergy regime in Iran must change for the sake of world peace.

I believe the Iran was secretly developing nuclear weapon. The nuclear facility in Iran must destroy before the clergy regime own nuclear weapon.

This is Putin's big opportunity to expand the Russian empire (see Eurasian Economic Union). He's got Trump the oaf,

I seriously doubt that.

Lay off the Fox and Friends, please! I think Trump is playing this quite well, cautious and not trying to overstep to make any unnecessary mistakes, but I do think if another attack happens it should be met with a very controlled measured response, but other than that, the Saudis should definitely take the lead, I’m sure the Saudis will bring up wanting their own Iron Dome very soon.
