Tedros has ZERO credibility. Go away.

Anyway, he is right. It’s good to see that he shows effort trying to balance out his very big errors from the pandemic’s beginning with some slightly better statements nowadays.

Mr. Tedros has been under attack by the US, Canada and UK since he announced his candidacy for Director General of WHO. While Mr. Tedros had unanimous support of African nations and China, the US, UK and Canada were promoting a British doctor David Nabarro to the post. Nabarro attempted a last minute defamation campaign against Mr. Tedros but it failed. He won the election by 133 out of 185 possible votes. The US government in particular has never gotten over their man losing so badly and holds a grudge against him.

of course he would say that, he wants more funding.

”Give us more money!”

None of the proposed measures and attitudes require more money for the WHO, just to abandon a lack of complacency and that is echoed by many professionals unaffiliated with the organization. Misrepresenting a well fundamented warning as if it was just an appeal for money makes evident complete lack of actual arguments against it.

Tedros has ZERO credibility. Go away.

What part of the things he is saying is false? the person saying something is irrelevant when the same conclusions can be reached by others.

of course he would say that, he wants more funding

If that were the case it would be easier and better to make the opposite appeal, that the world have controlled already the pandemic thanks to the WHO even if that was not true.

Some do not want this pandemic to be over so soon.

Judging by the predictable effects of the terribly bad suggestions they make that would be the antivaxxers and anti-science groups.

No as problems are “solved” no longer receive funding. The money goes away to new unsolved priorities.

If you think most of the problems of the WHO are solved and only COVID remain you need to really read more about the situation of the world. It may surprise you but COVID is nowhere near the only thing that would need to be solved, not even the one that requires more funding.

Far from over. Is that not obvious, what is WHO mumbling about..?

They're not going to kill the golden goose.

So are the accusations that Tedros covered up 3 Cholera outbreaks in Ethiopia when he was the health minister false?

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/13/health/candidate-who-director-general-ethiopia-cholera-outbreaks.html

And what about his backing for TPLF, which has been accused of human rights abuses?

https://www.reuters.com/article/ethiopia-conflict-who-idINKBN27Z17C

Tedros had the unanimous support of China so that explains his deferential statements in favour of China and CCP at the start of the COVID pandemic. That such a person who is not even a qualified doctor is in charge is more a comment on the state of affairs at WHO than anything else.

"Nabarro attempted a last minute defamation campaign against Mr. Tedros but it failed."

And later Nabarro turned into one of the most vehement defenders of Tedros after he was given the post of special envoy. That cronyism is prevalent throughout WHO and US paid little or no attention to it before the pandemic.

Ensuring an adequate intake of Vitamin D reduces risks and assists immune system function.

A campaign to reduce obesity and increase awareness of the increased risks of Covid amongst countless other things by the WHO would decrease the problem particularly in countries with atrocious average health and high obesity such as the USA

These would be low cost to implement and scientifically proved to work. Combined with vaccines they could make things much better worldwide.

The fact that former U.S. President Donald Trump was discharged from hospital in less than a week after he had been diagnosed as Covid-19-possitve and so admitted to hospital always stumps me. Some posters on JT said at the time that it was because he had paid handsomely for the treatment. But that turns out to be wrong.

Yes, there is a narrative propagated through SNS that Covid-19 should be perceived as no different from an ordinary influenza. Which should we believe, the SNS narrative or WHO?

The guy has a strong constitution (despite his fast food addiction), and they threw the kitchen sink at the virus. Similar to Joe Rogan btw. Despite the media hype, fact is the majority of people get over the infection.

All sorts of narratives circulate on SNS, not just one, so pick the ones you find credible. Whatever you hear from the WHO, remember that Tedros & friends are in the pockets of the CCP, so whatever they say is what the CCP wants them to say. Keep that in mind.

COVID pandemic nowhere near over: WHO

Yet he only mentioned Covid in his fear mongering.

he knows what his “cash cow” is.

Yet he only mentioned Covid in his fear mongering.

Saying things you want to live in denial of is not enough to make something fear mongering, specially if other experts share the same opinions. This is about the pandemic so it is obvious it will talk about it, in other news the WHO have made appeals about many other problems in urgent need to be solved, be it AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Malnutrition, Diabetes, etc. etc.
