congress should be put in recess until it promises to act like adults.

Everything MAGAs do to California now will be revisited on Texas and Florida in 2027, if not 2029.

This is what happens when you have a party of belligerents: they eventually start eating their own.

Well, Trump have won two elections against two women now He thinks he is above the constitutional law of the land of the United States of America.

There's going to be a lot of blowback. The Republicans love pointing fingers and claiming mismanagement of this and that and are acting like little children now that Trump is back in office but there's a course correction coming soon. You can only blame the other guys for so long and you have the reins now.

I thought Trump was supposed to unite the country...? How is actively deciding not to help fellow americans in need uniting anyone? This government is really by the trolls and for the trolls only.

I thought Trump was supposed to unite the country...?

I think that ended slightly before Trump's inaugural address in 2017 where he basically called the US a s-hole.

There should be no strings attached to giving emergency Federal Aid to help many victims who have lost their homes and belongings. Not all victims are the super-rich celebs who will recover quickly.

Trump's lack of comprehension of what LA underwent these past weeks, and disturbingly showing little empathy just shows how fragile the man's mind is.

He still thinks the problem was caused by lack of raking and smelt taking up all the "Northern Water".

“I don’t think we should give California anything until they let the water run down,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

Absurd comment.

And Hannity never challenged his ramblings - lol.

Apparently MAGA thinks it's the way forward. Presidents are only Presidents to those who voted for him. Not sure where this leave the kids of America but.

Even his lies are only meant for them, not you.

California pays every year $250 billion in federal taxes. More than any other state.

But they don't like Trump so they don't get Trump's money (it's all his now).

Maybe they should be annexed by Canada or Denmark?

"Billions of dollars are sent to the State of California for Forest fires that, with proper Forest Management, would never happen. Unless they get their act together, which is unlikely, I have ordered FEMA to send no more money. It is a disgraceful situation in lives & money!".

Trump 2019

Biased article. The author assumes Trump's accusations that California's policies are to blame for the damages are false.
