Such childish playground antics.

And maybe one of those two jokers will one day have his finger over the big red button!!

God help us all.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

It's the snivelling coward Trump vs. lyin' Ted show. Great entertainment, but are these characters really presidential material?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

The whole republican party is ugly.

Notice how nothing like this ever happens with the democrats? The difference between classy and classless.

6 ( +12 / -6 )

"Yeah, and Dems are so exceptionally astute at running a clean campaign. ROFL! Too, too, funny!"

What in the name of fully functional septuagenarian penises and stabbed-in-the-back evolution-denying surgeons are you ROFLing about now?

If you can't see this nasty, poison-spitting childishness for what it is, you are more partisan than we imagined.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

The show just keeps getting better and better.

The Dems will continue to thank Cruz and Trump for years to come!

5 ( +10 / -5 )

the Rep party is like a dog trying to bite its tail, what a train wreck

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I rather like watching Cruz pretend to have emotions.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Cruz on TV yesterday:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbM_QB5G4zI

Notice how he avoids answer questions about any of his proposals. When you ask him, "How do you patrol Muslim areas" he response with "Obama is politically correct."

Reminds me of some people here, ne?

"Did you see this kind of thing between Sanders and Clinton?"

"To be honest, most people aren't really paying attention to Hillary, except her supporters. That's why most of the cable networks don't cover them as much."

I watched most of the debates between Sanders and Clinton. The tone was so many notches higher than the ad hominem mud-slinging, puerile name-calling, knob joke-cracking vacuous nonsense the GOP freakshows offered up.

Of course the GOP debates had more of an audience. Behaviour like schoolboys cracking each other on the arse with whiplike towels in the changing rooms after a swim will draw the audience in.

Wonder what American's of the Jewish faith really think of their bigot in chief? Cruz's religious nutters already have spoken, they like folks who act like teenagers in high school social media.

You do realize that one of Trump's daughters is married to a Jewish man and has accepted that religion. So I am not sure why one would say that Trump is a bigot. Again, if Trump actually used a derogatory terms for a race of people it would be all over the news. Yet he says some Mexican illegal aliens come to America and commit crimes. Did he say all? No, and the truth to the matter is that some Mexicans do come to the US and commit crimes who are illegal. If you want to be technical about it, if an illegal alien is from Mexico in the US, they are still committing a crime since they are not in the USA legally. He only said we should monitor Muslims who may come from certain parts of the world to make sure that they are not radicalized and don't want to do us harm. What's wrong with that? Did he say ban all Muslims and outlaw that religion? No he didn't.

Trying to throw the racist card at him is a cheap ploy for those who can't find a way to argue against him on issue points. If you don't like him, fine but looking at the numbers of people voting for him so far in the primaries, according to those who keep throwing the race card, America should be like it was back when Woodrow Wilson (Dem) was the president and the Klan was rising up after the showing of "The Birth of a Nation" who said after he watched it in a private screening at the White House "It was like writing history with lightning." America is not like that anymore, so there must be some truth to the issues that Trump is brining up.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

I'm reminded of the Jerry Springer show, except politicians are even better than rank amateurs when it comes to entertainment value.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

and a gentleman would never have consorted with Monica.

That depends on your idea of a gentleman. Clinton's approval rating up as a result of the so-called Lewinsky scandal. http://www.gallup.com/poll/4609/presidential-job-approval-bill-clintons-high-ratings-midst.aspx

Most Americans then, and even more so now, do not like partisan witch hunts into people's private lives. We find it... ungenteel.

Another thing: Republicans are stupid to try to re-litigate the Clinton years. Most Americans look back fondly on that time. We remember peace and prosperity.

Regardless, back to the issue: Trump insulting women. Here's a good snip from The Votemaster:

Trump also has to watch his step much better. He is constantly attacking women in general. He called Megyn Kelly a bimbo and says Hillary Clinton is "very shrill." Maybe that is why she got schlonged in 2008. His unfavorable numbers among women are running at 75% now. It the general election is Trump vs. Clinton, we're going to see blood coming out of that gender gap, or wherever.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

It is worth keeping in mind is that the GOP's internal polling tells them that 2016 is a lost cause regardless of who they nominate.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Check out this Slate article of Trump's (not just recent) history with women.

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2016/03/donald_trump_has_one_core_philosophy_misogyny.html

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Well, this is ugly.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

"Notice how nothing like this ever happens with the democrats? The difference between classy and classless."

"That's easy, when you have the media that's 98% liberal backing you and surpassing a lot of information"

What does the media have to do with the on-stage live circus of knob jokes, small-hand comments, epithets like "little", barrages of ad hominems and general bitchiness and stupidity? There's no spin here. It's clear for all to see.

Did you see this kind of thing between Sanders and Clinton?

Also, could you imagine Bernie Sanders going after Hillary Clinton on the basis of her spouse? There's plenty to attack there. I know you regard Bernie on the same level as Josef Stalin but he wouldn't do this. Why? It's just, well, below him.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Should be fun to watch two dogs bark at each other for a little bit.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

bass4funk: "Again, when you guys were taking shots at Bush and his policies EVERY SINGLE DAY adding his name to ANY topic regardless what it was as to make a comparison to Obama, that was Ok, but when the tables are turned, you guys are just beside yourselves. Amazing!"

Again, not even related, nor relevant, and merely very, very poor attempts at deflection.

"To be honest, most people aren't really paying attention to Hillary, except her supporters."

And you, in EVERY single comment you make on threads about REPUBLICANS. Proof yet again that you are the most partisan person on this site.

"We are in a state of politics where decorum is something that has completely faded into a distant memory, sadly."

Yes, exactly -- the Republicans, and this nomination for president in particular, have proven it beyond a doubt. Where Trump and Cruz are bashing each other's wives after Rubio had to drop out because he 'sweats too much' about Trump's "little hands", you have Sanders and Clinton discussion the issues. Glad you can admit that the Republican party has absolutely no decorum, at least.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

"These are modern Republican Party candidates. They haven't farted at each other yet, but we have plenty of time before the election."

I'd like to see this. Something more substantive than what's been previously offered. My money would be on Trump. I can imagine he can blow it out of both ends better than any other candidate.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

@bass then you need to be fair and lump Bill in that slot as well.

Bongo for your deflection, but Bill Clinton's not running for president. Clinton served two terms. How about Reagan's blunder which led to getting all those US Marines and French soldiers killed in Lebanon?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Jimizo

Perhaps his "sordid" sexual escapades are why people like(d) him.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

He really hurt the Democratic party with his nonsense.

And what do you base this belief on?

Look, we're going in circles here. It has often been asserted that Clinton's sex life hurt him. I argue the opposite: that it helped him. And the Democrats.

And I have data to support my position.

I believe the partisan withchunt into Clinton's sex life hurt the Republicans. It cast them as puritan zealots, who put petty politics above the national interests.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

the release of porn pictures of each others wives.

The weren't pornographic, and it was only one wife.

Americans are so immature and this shows they suffer from sexual immaturity!

True. We'd be much better to model ourselves after the amazingly mature Japanese politicians, and their healthy views towards sex and women.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

“I have to say, seeing him go deeper and deeper into the gutter, it’s not easy to tick me off,” Cruz said at a news conference while campaigning in Dane, Wisconsin. “But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, it’ll do it every time.

“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward,” Cruz said. “Leave Heidi the hell alone.”

“Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life,”

Trump really misplayed this one.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

It;s really down and dirty now. My sympathy goes to the wives. Meanwhile it is a pleasure to the GOP, which has caused so much misery, impolitely destroy itself.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Cruz started Trump Revenged It sill go on and on. In past, candidates who insulted Trump could not handle Trump's counterattack of 10 times bigger vanished rapidly.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Classy Republicans eh? Knock yourself out boys. Cover yourselves in glory.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Ted finally states a position I can agree with.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

I'd like to see this. Something more substantive than what's been previously offered. My money would be on Trump. I can imagine he can blow it out of both ends better than any other candidate.

But what about Hillary ROFL!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

"But what about Hillary ROFL!"

Sounds like a case of the ROFLing Benghazis with a touch of the Bolsheviks. Have two whatabouts after meals ( no vegan meals ) and an LOL before bed.

You'll be on your feet again in no time.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I see the masters of deflection are out in force. Anyway, anybody else but me think this BS coming from the GOP side has gone far enough ? A shame.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I'll put money on Obama not going out with the atrocious ratings...

Timely, Jimizo. Obama's ratings have been on a steady rise, probably due to the generally satisfactory state of the nation, the realization that he'll soon be gone, and comparison with possible successors. In fact, assuming things continue as they are, he'll likely leave office with an approval rating well above average. Not bad for a Kenyan Muslim socialist atheist.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Cruz or Trump would probably serve corn dogs and tater tots at state dinners.

Cruz maybe, but Trump would serve Trump Steaks.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It is pretty amazing that Clinton had a higher approval rating when leaving office than Reagan despite sordid sex scandals. Imagine the approval ratings without his vociferous sex drive.

Imagine if Bush had had a sex scandal to cap off his terms in office. He could have been close to a near perfect score in the disapproval ratings.

Obama must feel like Marvin Gaye on the mic following a tone-deaf, drunken salaryman waliing Enka in a karaoke box.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Obama's approval ratings are above 50% now. Congressional Republicans are hovering at about 15% with 81% disapproving.

So which nightmare are we trying to end?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

"You do realize that one of Trump's daughters is married to a Jewish man and has accepted that religion." - comments

"Polls show Trump leading in New York ahead of its primary." - article

Would the commenter allow explaination why Donald J. Trump refused, three times on live television CNN, to condemn Holocaust Denier, Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke?

That isn't about Donald's family, that is about Donald J. Trump, torture advocate.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

"seeing him go deeper and deeper into the gutter"

Ted Cruz taking about going deeper into the gutter? What?!

Anyway, leave sewers out of this. These places are the home of honest rodents who don't want their neighbourhoods dragged down to the level of a GOP debate stage.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

This type of wife tit-for-that is not Presidential behavior

Are ya gonna insult a head of state's wife if he insults your wife?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

"But we had built a stronger Economy after Carter literally destroyed the country"

'Literally' destroyed it? Check the meanings of 'literally' and 'destroyed'.

Everyone carries their biases. You as a non-partisan recognize this better than most. Since you are talking about past presidents, I thought a look at approval and disapproval ratings for outgoing presidents would be interesting. I'd say they give a very good overall view of public opinion overall rather than individual biases.

Clinton went out with a higher approval rating than Reagan. Of course Carter wasn't a successful president. You do know George W Bush left office with a higher disapproval rating than Jimmy 'literally destroyed the country' Carter, don't you? In fact, Bush in the postwar era only did slightly better than another Republican president at the bottom of the barrel, Richard Nixon.

If Carter 'literally destroyed the country', you have to ask what Bush did to go out even more disliked than Carter.

I'll put money on Obama not going out with the atrocious ratings given to what the public as a whole regarded as the worst two presidents in the postwar era - George W Bush and Richard Nixon. Both Republicans by the way.

I tend to go with what the public as a whole thinks. It's not perfect but I'd say it's more accurate than partisan views. As a non-partisan, I'm sure you'd agree. I just think this is useful to bear in mind when posting things like 'the people are fed up with Obama'. I think it would be better to use expressions like 'some people' or even better, just use 'I'.

"Cruz denied having anything to do with the image, which was part of an attack by an anti-Trump Super PAC, Make America Awesome."

Ah, but did he say the Super PAC was wrong? Nope. So, his arguments against what Trump is doing mean nothing. Trump says he does not support racism, something we all know is a crock, and why? because it took him forever to decry David Duke's support, for one thing. Likewise, Cruz can't decry the Super PAC's support, so he actually does support attacking people's families.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

This is 'mine is bigger than yours' stuff really.

Highlights what's wrong with today's politics (not only in the usa btw): candidates are 'also' judged on their wife/hubby's credentials and yes, attractiveness (hot but not 'too' hot, girl's next door hotness sort of). They must be married, have good looking and 'successful' kids, show leadership and obviously wear the pants in their house, etc. That's why PR guys ask the whole tribe to come on stage and offer their best, biggest and goofiest smile.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Melanie's naked picture ... looks like someone placed her face photo on extremely white colored girl's body.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Something more substantive than what's been previously offered.

The Republican's neo-feudalist candidate, the man who got a 4F military deferment because of his feet (which for some reason were fine when he played tennis at daddy's club) and had his own private Vietnam avoiding STD offers this for substance:

The level of stupidity is incredible. I'm telling you, I used to use the word 'incompetent', now I just call them stupid. I went to an Ivy League school, I'm very highly educated. I know words, I have the best words. But there's no better word than 'stupid', right? There is none.

But what about Obama? LOL Will he tow (sic) the line and wear THAT shoe?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

bass4funk: "Ok, so now liberals want to change the rules? I distinctly remember Bush's name being uttered everyday, until Trump became a candidate, now he's the new poster boy to beat up. Fair is fair, deal with it, I did and I'm not scared."

More deflection. And there is a HUGE difference from when bush was mentioned in topics and your constant deflection: the comments dealt with realities that were the result of or would be based on bush policies. Here we have an article on how two GOP candidates are slinging mud at each other and EVERY single line of yours starts with "libs", "Dems", "Hilary", or "Obama". Fat lot of wonder you defend the current GOP candidates by doing everything to avoid actually commenting on them or the comments posted by others (hence the difference when mentioning bush; people used it to comment DIRECTLY on the threads or something relevant to the discussion), it's what they do as well. Just look at Cruz fielding questions on how he would monitor all Muslims: "Obama is politically correct".

"He was very Obamaisque in his first term"

Clinton was very "Obamaisque" in his first term?? Did you guys get your hands on the time machine again??

Oh, and "everyday (sic)" is two words. We're all making a lot of typos and mistakes with auto-correct and the newer predictive text deciding what you are trying to say, but this and "loose" instead of "lose" are unforgivable. :)

0 ( +2 / -2 )

The "fun" never ends in American politics. Sort of reminds me of young boys in Jr. High school trying to out do one another. First with the "small hands" and now with the release of porn pictures of each others wives. Americans are so immature and this shows they suffer from sexual immaturity! Then again I hear so many spots on radio and tv about men's performance.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

This is one of the few differences between "Democrats" and "Republicans." Republicans claim to be morally superior, then do the opposite. Democrats claim no morals, then prove themselves correct in that claim. . . .

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Trump's racists are largely unemployed, uneducated and angry.

Trump offers them hope that Trump will find these losers work.

Trump also knows he must keep his campaign at the level of the high school drop out.

Hence, these idiots rage on racism, religious bigotry and purient interests.

Cruz has the same followers but more bible bangers. Most bible bangers see Trump for the fraud that he is.

The dangerous part of Trump's fans, being white, stupid and angry, they are also gun owners.

Their reckless acts will kill or harm and Trump will pretend ignorance of his own taunting to make them fire on Police Officers, First Responders and of course people of color.

Too stupid to know their racism is disgusting and too angry to know who or what they want to shoot at, Trump's disaster is a tinder box Trump himself is trying to light.

Trump has cobbled together the angry unemployed uneducated and gunner racists.

Add Trump's lust for power and destruction and the American Republican National Convention won't be about counting votes.

The Republican National Convention will be about body counts and that will only add to the shame and failure of Trump to do anything of value for Americans he is supposed to care so much about.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

A super PAC associated with the Cruz campaign attacked Trump's wife.

First. I'm not so sure posting the 'racy' modeling picture of Trump's wife and asking voters who you want as a First Lady amounts to much of an attack with Trump's supporters. If anything, it helps.

Second, that is the way it goes. You get your attack dog to attack, and if your target is foolish, he or she will shoot from the hip and blow it.

Trump blew it.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I just hope whoever wins avoids invading countries like Iraq...$3,000,000,000,000+ not to mention the loss of life!

On talk shows, many distinguished women came out and said Trump revenged.

"We were losers for voting for this Tyrant!"

Obama could be voted in again in a "third" term. His approval rate is higher these days. People like him more.

"Both Trump and Cruz are trying to garner enough delegates to win the Republican nomination ahead of the party’s convention this summer." - article

Donald J. Trump threatened violence if he was denied the crown of bigot in chief. Cruz is already the shame of the US Senate, Trump is the shame of America that supports his racism. Except David Duke, Holocaust Denier, who Loves the Trump.

Wonder what American's of the Jewish faith really think of their bigot in chief? Cruz's religious nutters already have spoken, they like folks who act like teenagers in high school social media.

Cruz calls Trump a 'sniveling coward' for threatening his wife on Twitter

So while Europe goes up in smoke the president of the US hams it up with a communist dictator and dances the tango we have this petty nonsense! Why do I think nothing is going to get any better after the America's election? And why do the Islamists even bother blowing us up - we seem to be doing a pretty good job of that all by ourselves!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Why Clinton's husband story is ignored by Sanders? no naked photo and story is not new. Sanders family life is too clean. Beside that these two candidates are too addicted to economic topics. They don't even engage in shouting match, Not entertaining viewers.

"I have to say, seeing him go deeper and deeper into the gutter, it’s not easy to tick me off,” Cruz said at a news conference while campaigning in Dane, Wisconsin. “But you mess with my wife, you mess with my kids, it’ll do it every time." - article

Of course Ted Cruz has no problem with his religious prejudice. Cruz is a man of principle. He condems Donald J. Trump's racists and demand the Republican Party expel Trump's racist. Beacuse Cruz is his Dad's proclaimed Messiah. What a bunch of nutters these GOP/Tea be.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

"Cruz highlighted Trump’s history of donating not only to Spitzer, New York’s former governor who resigned amid a prostitution scandal, and Weiner, the former U.S. congressman who quit after tweeting lewd images of himself, but also to other New York liberals such as U.S. Representative Charles Rangel, Senator Chuck Schumer, and New York’s current governor, Andrew Cuomo." - article

It is endlessly facinating how supporter of Trump's racism are so defiant of the truth of his prejudice and Cruz's religious nutterism. Good Presidents both as far as the racists and bigots can muster support for.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Look, world -- American democracy in action. Isn't it marvellous? Now, don't you want this wonderful American democracy for your country??!!

This is just my guess. I think the porno picture of Cruz's wife is a creation by Trump's group after the picture of Trump's wife was distributed by Cruz supporters Cruz supporter did not think Trump is experienced in video films industry. Cruz's wife works for a dept of US gov't so that porno pic must

be phony. As usually, Trump attack backs more than ten times he is attacked bt this might be terribly backfired

“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward,” Cruz said. - article

Actually, the Republican Party has endorsed Donald J. Trump, bigot and racist,

Ted "The Messiah" Cruz, according to his Dad, is the real coward and nutter.

Go figure, the GOP/Tea, forged documents to send 250,000 innocent people to their deaths?

Ever wonder why ISIS has their recruitment posters next to pictures of Trump and Cruz?

"A new survey by the Public Policy Institute of California found that among likely Republican primary voters, Trump led with 38% to 27% for Cruz and 14% for Ohio Governor John Kasich." - article

Not a single report includes actual votes for the bigots and racists of the GOP/Tea?

Previous counts showed 7.5 million were bigots for Trump and 5.2 bigots were for Cruz.

Why does the reportage refuse to use real numbers of bigots and racists?

That Main Stream Media, MSM(?) grrr!

When the world and Americans find out only ten million Love the Trump's racism and nine million Love the Nutter Cruz that will show just how pathetic prejudice is viewed in America. Why so coy MSM?

Correction, previous was pointed out as completely ambiguous: oops,

"Wonder what Americans of the Jewish faith really think of Donald J. Trump, bigot in chief? Cruz's religious nutters already have spoken, they like folks who act like teenagers in high school social media."

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Cruz started first,so he has to blame himself.Trump reacts not acts.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Trump's racists are largely unemployed, uneducated and angry.

Obama's is more taxation and less unemployment....in higher wage jobs.

Trump offers them hope that Trump will find these losers work.

We were losers for voting for this Tyrant!

Trump also knows he must keep his campaign at the level of the high school drop out.

If liberals are so good at math, then why are they so bad when it comes to taxes? Instead of taxing people more, create better jobs in the private sector, people spend money, tax it at a flat rate, put that back into the economy and you will have a strong, healthy and reviving economy.

Hence, these idiots rage on racism, religious bigotry and purest interests.

But the Dems have used race as a platform the entire 7 years for political gain and as a strong intimidation tool.

Cruz has the same followers but more bible bangers. Most bible bangers see Trump for the fraud that he is.

Then you really must hate Hillary if you hate frauds!

The dangerous part of Trump's fans, being white, stupid and angry, they are also gun owners.

What about the Blacks that support him and the Blacks that were beating up the stupid protesters that were disruptive and one of the idiots-Black wore a KKK outfit. Seems to me, the ONLY stupid and angry people that were causing the civil disobedience was showing to be a lot of Blacks, so what are we to make of this?

Their reckless acts will kill or harm and Trump will pretend ignorance of his own taunting to make them fire on Police Officers, First Responders and of course people of color.

But the people of color started it and the protesters in general started throwing the first violent in your face attack. If you get in my face to intimidate me and take a threatening posture, that is verbal assault and given the unpredictability of the screaming and enraged person in front of me, I analyze it as a highly likable threat, possibly physical, that's what the left does, they love to intimidate and love to provoke. That's exactly what little children do.

Too stupid to know their racism is disgusting and too angry to know who or what they want to shoot at, Trump's disaster is a tinder box Trump himself is trying to light.

And yet, the Dems are so racist, they won't even admit that their very polices are keeping people on government dependence, Blacks and other minorities near the economic poverty level, they don't and NEVER teach self-reliance, entrepreneurship...hmmm, I wonder why? That is pure racism right under your nose and the Democrats embrace it with every fiber of their being.

Trump has cobbled together the angry unemployed uneducated and gunner racists.

Not just them, he also has the smart doctors, engineers, some of the Hollywood elite and a mix bag of other intellectuals. Hey, in a crowd of 50 million, there are a few people that can distinguish right or wrong or do you want to say that every one of these people are ignorant? That would lead people to believe that kind of thought would make the person seem like an elitist and we already have one in the White House and he did nothing.

Add Trump's lust for power and destruction and the American Republican National Convention won't be about counting votes.

but having a Tyrannical king that ruled by using his veto power, pen and phone was acceptable?

The Republican National Convention will be about body counts and that will only add to the shame and failure of Trump to do anything of value for Americans he is supposed to care so much about.

If the entire political system wasn't so corrupt we wouldn't have to worry about possible violence and trickery and we would see Clinton in shackles right now, but given the fact that our system is deeply corrupted and rigged, this is the result, we all have to deal with, both sides of the political spectrum.

“Donald, real men don’t attack women“.

Hey, feminists, why you don't tear Cruz apart for this sexist comment? Women are equal to men, right?

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

The weren't pornographic, and it was only one wife.

That's bad enough. If the guys want to sling mud, go ahead if they must, but leave the rest of family out of this.

True. We'd be much better to model ourselves after the amazingly mature Japanese politicians, and their healthy views towards sex and women.

No, we just believe that a woman is not toy or an object to be mocked at, has nothing to do with being prude and yes, before you libs jump and cry foul about Trump's misogyny, I don't care if it's Trump, Cruz or Clinton fondling girls, I find it disgusting and totally abhorrent and it doesn't matter what ideology or which side of the political fence you sit on, all these people and anyone that can do such a thing is not right in the head. That's my little side note.

Americans are so immature and this shows they suffer from sexual immaturity!

Yuri, please define what sexual immaturity is exactly.

This is one of the few differences between "Democrats" and "Republicans." Republicans claim to be morally superior, then do the opposite. Democrats claim no morals, then prove themselves correct in that claim. . . .

BINGO! 100% correct!

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I have mixed feelings. Nobody is running who I really much like. Hillary being the least attractive. On the other hand, whoever gets elected this time around is going to have a disastrous 4 year presidency - one for the record books. Obama has set it up perfectly, like CEOs who pump a company's short term profits at long-term expense. They look great when they leave for another company, and everything that falls apart later is blamed on their successor. In that sense, the Democrats deserve to be in office for the big bang.

(LoL, no pun) .....but, that just sounds funny -"first man?"

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

smithinjapan: Ah, but did he say the Super PAC was wrong? Nope. So, his arguments against what Trump is doing mean nothing.

Ahh- the old implied consent chestnut. Such an assertion defies logic of course but if it helps you get through the day - go with it. OK, so Hillary's failure to condemn accusations by multiple women that they were raped, assaulted, and/or harassed by her husband implies consent? If not, why not? So here we are. Every argument against one woefully flawed candidate begets an equally damaging argument against the other. Unless of course you believe that making fun of another man's wife to be worse than rape and/or sexual assault. Care to consider that?

@Farmboy: Democrats have been better overall for the stock market, according to Forbes, not a left-wing source.

You know that Hillary's Wall Street cronies are downright giddy at the prospect of getting one of their own in the White House. I hear that the former CEO of Solyndra has another can't miss idea for renewable energy that could use some public money and tax breaks.

Anyway, first man Bill Clinton is probably working out his decorating and dining ideas for the White House when they get back in.

Are you kidding? Has Bill ever cared about decorating? It's more likely he will be picking out sex toys for the new crop of interns.

Cruz or Trump would probably serve corn dogs and tater tots at state dinners.

Disgusting isn't it? It would be scandalous to even contemplate that our august leaders would even deign to consume the same dog food as the rabble they are elected to serve. With a little coaxing (or tax exemption) I am sure that the CEO of one of the big Wall Street banks will gladly lend the Clinton's one of their skilled European trained chefs to prepare meals fit for the White House royals. Corn dogs and tater tots? Preposterous!

And yet, Obama gets a pass, even though he was warned by the Pentagon top generals to take action against a growing ISIS, but he did nothing.

. . .but. . ..but, but they were "contained" already bass.

It;s really down and dirty now.

But its still not as low as when (D) Bill Clinton brought shame among us all by gettin' down n' dirty w/ Monica. Imagine the revenge porn if cell phones could capture video in those days. Scary.

Strangerland: Notice how nothing like this ever happens with the democrats? The difference between classy and classless.

Nothing spells classy like a 21 year old humidor eh Strangerland? Or Carlos Danger sexting his privates to some young thang half his wife's age. Not to single out the Dems though. It just that it's all getting to be too much. I don't want to unplug from the world. I want to know what's going on. But all of this unimportant nonsense that we have going back and forth on the news, on Twitter, blogs, you-name-it. It's all meaningless. Serious questions like Trumps lack of ideas about reforming entitlements or Hillary's non-answer answers about the creation of her own private IT department while Secretary of State get brushed aside. But it is what amounts to politics in at least the US now and for the foreseeable future. Just wait until the Fall. Trump and Hillary will be knee deep in this garbage. The two least trusted politicians will be competing to be president. It's really insane.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

That depends on your idea of a gentleman. Clinton's approval rating up as a result of the so-called Lewinsky scandal. http://www.gallup.com/poll/4609/presidential-job-approval-bill-clintons-high-ratings-midst.aspx

So called? No, the man took advantage of his intern, he used the title of his office to push himself on this girl when he shouldn't have, end of story, it was in appropriate, it was low and dirty tactic.for him to do that, regardless if his popularity soared. But again, a conservative does the same thing, he's a misogynist, a rapist, predator, all of the above. You guys would pounce on it like a year end sale.

Most Americans then, and even more so now, do not like partisan witch hunts into people's private lives. We find it... ungenteel.

So the. Why do liberals constantly do it. Sure, both sides do this, but liberals will go to any paparazzi length to dig up any dirt a conservative.

Another thing: Republicans are stupid to try to re-litigate the Clinton years. Most Americans look back fondly on that time. We remember peace and prosperity.

Again, it depends on who you ask, if 9/11 happened on Bill's watch, then we wouldn't have had peace and somewhat decent prosperity.

Not one of Trump's finest moments, but then again, with his base, it does nothing but bump up his numbers and there are still new voters coming out, so I don't think he needs to worry much.

Obama's approval ratings are above 50% now. Congressional Republicans are hovering at about 15% with 81% disapproving.

It really doesn't matter what Obama's approval ratings are, he's on his way, thankfully out, that's really all that matters. Gotta get used to referring to him as the "past president."

So which nightmare are we trying to end?

The Obama one, which will thankfully soon be upon us.

Look, we're going in circles here. It has often been asserted that Clinton's sex life hurt him. I argue the opposite: that it helped him. And the Democrats

If it did, Gore would have been president, thank God that didn't happen.

Not a single report includes actual votes for the bigots and racists of the GOP/Tea?

So you can say for certainty that the Republicans that support Trump in my home state are racists? My, my, liberals are just so desperate these days/

Previous counts showed 7.5 million were bigots for Trump and 5.2 bigots were for Cruz.

So then that would mean for both Hillary, Trump and Cruz supporters are all bigots and racists?? WOW!!!

Why does the reportage refuse to use real numbers of bigots and racists?

Now you know how we all feel when a lot of the MSM polls don't give exact numbers on Hillary.

That Main Stream Media, MSM(?) grrr!

We both agree on something

When the world and Americans find out only ten million Love the Trump's racism and nine million Love the Nutter Cruz that will show just how pathetic prejudice is viewed in America. Why so coy MSM?

So what and how can you prove that these supporters are racists. So all the Blacks, Asians and Hispanics that support Trump are racists as well?

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Anyway, leave sewers out of this. These places are the home of honest rodents who don't want their neighborhoods dragged down to the level of a GOP debate stage.

Yeah, and Dems are so exceptionally astute at running a clean campaign. ROFL! Too, too, funny!

Would the commenter allow explaination why Donald J. Trump refused, three times on live television CNN, to condemn Holocaust Denier, Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan David Duke?

How about you commenting on what is your opinion of the Democrats embracing the Black Lives Matters hoodlums? outright racists and yet, the Dems embrace these people, you're ok with that?

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Again, not even related, nor relevant, and merely very, very poor attempts at deflection.

Because you don't want to hear it? I'll be sure to jot that down the next time you guys lump Bush into your arguments.

And you, in EVERY single comment you make on threads about REPUBLICANS. Proof yet again that you are the most partisan person on this site.

Not even close, but no surprise you wouldn't see the many times I went off on the establishment, but it's ok. It's how the liberal mindset works and why liberals always skew the facts.

What discussion? When has Hillary EVER said something substantially relevant or original for that fact? At least Bernie is somewhat original, he'll never get the nomination, but he's genuine.

Glad you can admit that the Republican party has absolutely no decorum, at least.

Well, both parties are horrible and imcompetent, but the GOP at least in its lack of decorum is a bit funnier.

I watched most of the debates between Sanders and Clinton. The tone was so many notches higher than the ad hominem mud-slinging, puerile name-calling, knob joke-cracking vacuous nonsense the GOP freakshows offered up.

Yeah, if you watched it, but the ratings were beyond lackluster, so you and a few other people watched it.

Of course the GOP debates had more of an audience. Behaviour like schoolboys cracking each other on the arse with whiplike towels in the changing rooms after a swim will draw the audience in.

I'm not for mud slinging, but this is a crucial election and you can't really blame everyone for being so passionate, after what this president has done to the country, can't say I blame them for being edgy and wanting to take the country off the word of socialism and irrelevancy.

The Republican's neo-feudalist candidate, the man who got a 4F military deferment because of his feet (which for some reason were fine when he played tennis at daddy's club)

So are we all Podiatrists now? How did you feel about BIll Clinton running off to Canada dodging the draft, you don't find that outrageous? We won't even get into his conduct with women, that's an entirely different can of worms.

and had his own private Vietnam avoiding STD offers this for substance:

Oh, please. From 1974 to actually the present...maybe not so much given his physical condition, but Billy still has it for the women, I heard some of them are coming together if Hillary gets the nomination to tell their stories about being hushed and intimidated to keep their mouths shut about him and Hillary is total accomplice in harboring the guy for all the years.

Again, whatever reason Trump or Clinton had to avoid going to Nam, their choice, but if you want to rag on Trump about him not going to fight in the war, then you need to be fair and lump Bill in that slot as well.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Bongo for your deflection, but Bill Clinton's not running for president.

Ok, so now liberals want to change the rules? I distinctly remember Bush's name being uttered everyday, until Trump became a candidate, now he's the new poster boy to beat up. Fair is fair, deal with it, I did and I'm not scared.

Clinton served two terms.

He was very Obamaisque in his first term, but after the GOP took over congress in his second term if Obama wanted to get ANYTHING done, he needed to move to the center, which he did and things got done, he was a decent president, despite his inappropriate transactions with women.

How about Reagan's blunder which led to getting all those US Marines and French soldiers killed in Lebanon.

But we had built a stronger Economy after Carter literally destroyed the country, built up the military, instrumental in breaking up the Soviet Union, stopped the Cold War. Thanks to Obama, we're right back to where we started. By the way, what happened with Hillary's Russia reset button? Liberals really don't want to talk about that. So please stop with the hypocrisies, both sides have their faults in some aspects, Cruz ruffles a lot of feathers, but so does Hillary, he's not perfect by a long shot and neither is she, most definitely!

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

More deflection.

I'm taking it from the liberals play book.

And there is a HUGE difference from when bush was mentioned in topics and your constant deflection: the comments dealt with realities that were the result of or would be based on bush policies.

What?!!! Hey, as I said, fair is fair. Lol

Here we have an article on how two GOP candidates are slinging mud at each other and EVERY single line of yours starts with "libs", "Dems", "Hilary", or "Obama".

It's still in the topic of politics and we are talking about them, their past, present and possible future, everything tied into their personalities, what they stand for and policies is all relevant.

Fat lot of wonder you defend the current GOP candidates by doing everything to avoid actually commenting on them or the comments posted by others

No, I do. You are just zeroing on a specific area you don't approve of.

(hence the difference when mentioning bush; people used it to comment DIRECTLY on the threads or something relevant to the discussion), it's what they do as well. Just look at Cruz fielding questions on how he would monitor all Muslims: "Obama is politically correct".

"He was very Obamaisque in his first term"

Clinton was very "Obamaisque" in his first term?? Did you guys get your hands on the time machine again??

Correct.

Oh, and "everyday (sic)" is two words. We're all making a lot of typos and mistakes with auto-correct and the newer predictive text deciding what you are trying to say, but this and "loose" instead of "lose" are u

So what is the problem?

Everyone carries their biases. You as a non-partisan recognize this better than most. Since you are talking about past presidents, I thought a look at approval and disapproval ratings for outgoing presidents would be interesting. I'd say they give a very good overall view of public opinion overall rather than individual biases.

In various areas of policy and handling of the country domestically and specifically, yes.

Clinton went out with a higher approval rating than Reagan.

There are many variables in that. Different time era, the economy was different, a lot of things were different between the tow time periods. Clinton didn't have to deal with the Soviet Union and the Cold War.

Of course Carter wasn't a successful president. You do know George W Bush left office with a higher disapproval rating than Jimmy 'literally destroyed the country' Carter, don't you?

But Bush didn't have to deal with our hostages that were kept by the Mullahs for 444 days, which once (going back to) Reagan came into office were released the next day and it was the smartest thing they did.

In fact, Bush in the postwar era only did slightly better than another Republican president at the bottom of the barrel, Richard Nixon.

But he got rid of Saddam which was a good thing.

If Carter 'literally destroyed the country', you have to ask what Bush did to go out even more disliked than Carter.

We had a more stable economy until the end of 2006, something we never had under Carter.

I'll put money on Obama not going out with the atrocious ratings given to what the public as a whole regarded as the worst two presidents in the postwar era - George W Bush and Richard Nixon. Both Republicans by the way.

In hindsight most historians are reevaluating the Bush and Obama and from the looks of it, Obama might not come out smelling so rosey, keep yourself posted.

I tend to go with what the public as a whole thinks.

I tend to go with non-partisan historians, I could care less what the public thinks.

It's not perfect but I'd say it's more accurate than partisan views.

That would depend on who or what we are talking about.

As a non-partisan, I'm sure you'd agree. I just think this is useful to bear in mind when posting things like 'the people are fed up with Obama'. I think it would be better to use expressions like 'some people' or even better, just use 'I'.

I fully understand your opinion on the matter as always.

Obama's ratings have been on a steady rise, probably due to the generally satisfactory state of the nation, the realization that he'll soon be gone,

Again, it depends on who you are asking and where it counts, demographics etc. and when it comes to Blacks, many Latinos, police and the military, Obama doesn't rank good at all. With the poor, he does a lot better, in socialist countries, great!

and comparison with possible successors. In fact, assuming things continue as they are, he'll likely leave office with an approval rating well above average. Not bad for a Kenyan Muslim socialist atheist.

Yeah, California is doing so well, since the anointed one has been in power. LOL Just a few more months until freedom is upon us.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Actually, the Republican Party has endorsed Donald J. Trump, bigot and racist,

But what about the Democrats and their racism, that doesn't bother you???

Ted "The Messiah" Cruz, according to his Dad, is the real coward and nutter.

How so?

Go figure, the GOP/Tea, forged documents to send 250,000 innocent people to their deaths?

But you want to exonerate Hillary for what she did and covered up four deaths in Benghazi? What about the sectarian violence that killed hundreds and thousands of people overwhelmingly, that did not bother you?

Ever wonder why ISIS has their recruitment posters next to pictures of Trump and Cruz?

And yet, Obama gets a pass, even though he was warned by the Pentagon top generals to take action against a growing ISIS, but he did nothing. Outrageous, wouldn't you agree. Anyway, we just need to deal with Obama for another 228 more days. Relief is upon us!!!

-10 ( +6 / -16 )

Donald J. Trump threatened violence if he was denied the crown of bigot in chief.

Trump said THERE could be violence and that's true. He NEVER said, HE would engage in violence. Why are you peddling that fib?

Cruz is already the shame of the US Senate, Trump is the shame of America that supports his racism. Except David Duke, Holocaust Denier, who Loves the Trump.

But you always are willing to turn an eye to liberal racism. A former Democrat KKK congressman is acceptable to you? Did you know president Wilson was an outright racist as well? He even screened the movie A birth of a nation in the White House. Shocking!!

Wonder what American's of the Jewish faith really think of their bigot in chief? Cruz's religious nutters already have spoken, they like folks who act like teenagers in high school social media.

Didn't Obama turn his back on Israel? How dare he turn his back on one of our closest allies!

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

What does the media have to do with the on-stage live circus of knob jokes, small-hand comments, epithets like "little", barrages of ad hominems and general bitchiness and stupidity?

Whatever scandal the Dems engage in, it's always downplayed by the media, at least as much as they can keep it under wraps. As for the spectacle that has engulfed the GOP, at least you have people watching and not sleeping watching Hillary speak, if she's not too busy stealing Bernie lines. Hillary will flow in any direction the political wind will blow and Sanders utopia vision of a Socialist state is just that, a vision and nothing else.

Did you see this kind of thing between Sanders and Clinton?

To be honest, most people aren't really paying attention to Hillary, except her supporters. That's why most of the cable networks don't cover them as much.

Also, could you imagine Bernie Sanders going after Hillary Clinton on the basis of her spouse? There's plenty to attack there. I know you regard Bernie on the same level as Josef Stalin but he wouldn't do this. Why? It's just, well, below him.

On that, I agree. No arguments here.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

in 'response' to valid comments about the Trump and/or Cruz, the two that this thread focuses on.

Again, when you guys were taking shots at Bush and his policies EVERY SINGLE DAY adding his name to ANY topic regardless what it was as to make a comparison to Obama, that was Ok, but when the tables are turned, you guys are just beside yourselves. Amazing!

Hillary's non-answer answers about the creation of her own private IT department while Secretary of State get brushed aside. But it is what amounts to politics in at least the US now and for the foreseeable future. Just wait until the Fall. Trump and Hillary will be knee deep in this garbage. The two least trusted politicians will be competing to be president. It's really insane.

We are in a state of politics where decorum is something that has completely faded into a distant memory, sadly.

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

If you can't see this nasty, poison-spitting childishness for what it is, you are more partisan than we imagined.

Sorry, if I were a partisan, I wouldn't have mentioned the hypocrisy that envelopes liberals so much.

Notice how nothing like this ever happens with the democrats? The difference between classy and classless.

That's easy, when you have the media that's 98% liberal backing you and surpassing a lot of information, of course you wouldn't see it. And the list is long, I know, I work and live in it EVERY SINGLE DAY.
