"So you're all as bad as each other. Right. The thing about the "right back at you" stuff you always go in for is that you're not denying or refuting the initial accusation."

What was the saying again about “an eye for an eye?”

So you're all as bad as each other.

owning me with.... totally wrong information on taxes and baseball player salaries?

if thats what the new definition of owning is, pushing false information?

you do know everything he is saying is completely wrong dont you?

guess not, as you arent American you wouldnt know.

But please, encourage him to fail some more. I have a long lunch break today and could use some more amusement.

What is it with Trump and lawyers - they all seem to be helping the prosecutors put him behind bars...

Rudy goes on TV and when asked if Trump was guilty of a quid-pro-quo with his call to Zelensky on military aid, and says "of course he is"...

Trump stolen election-promoter Sidney Powell gets sued and her defense is "no rational person should believe anything I say"....

Trump's Mar-A-Lago lawyer sends an official signed memo to the FBI saying "no classified documents remain at MAL" - and next month the FBI finds 84 more...

Now you have Dershowitz saying Trump is going to be indicted and go to jail - but he can still be President - you know, just move the Oval Office desk to Rikers Island...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-can-serve-as-president-from-prison-alan-dershowitz-suggests/ar-AA18PgGr?cvid=5039d898e6ac41039730037569d4e067&ei=54

More evidence that MAGA-world is indeed Crazy-town...

As am experienced foreign player for the Yomiuri Giants doesnt make only 50 million yen as you stated, uninformed again.

(500 k $ arbitrary) Even if they make above that they don't pay as long as it's in Japanese Yen. A professional Japanese player in major league doesn't pay Japanese tax unless he has some earnings in Japan like from TV commercials. This goes for USA, Japan, Australia, just about every country. And what's your job? How do you make over the 120 k amount. Is that a real story? Why stay in Japan? There are lots of red states like Mississippi or Texas. Just avoid the state of Chicago.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

, PAY not file.

Wrong. Look at highly paid ex pat Americans in Japan getting paid in Japanese yen. Or an American playing pro ball in Japan.

As in making more than $120,000 per year.

Are you a company executive?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

As in making more than $120,000 per year.

Really? Is that a true story? Lots of tall tales on this message board (and bad accounting sense)

8 ( +8 / -0 )

I'm not talking about social security.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

To avoid paying taxes to America.

I pay American tax.

As do all Americans in Japan, except some cases related to the military or the government.

Speaking of Wassermann-Schultz, that’s exactly what she did to Bernie, don’t think they’ve forgotten about that.

Yoy should keep Bernies name out of your mouth or typing fingers because you just quote him to point out Democratic division and he has never aligned with mainstream Democrats and is clear with his criticism of them.

And he loarhes Trump and his policies as much as you loathe 'the left '.

The alt right are the biggest divisuonists wanting to classify everything into their false dichotomies.

Another played out rhetorical tactic

6 ( +6 / -0 )

its always very one sided and politically biased in favor of one team, dont you think?

Politics and religion are the roots of many problems today and in human history.

To pander to the idea of us vs. them is not a productive way for people to be. Nor are lies and narratives to back up wrongs.

If someone does things that break the law, it's fine to enforce the law. It's the way it should be done..

While politicians from both parties, high ranking church individuals and people with money are difficult to pin down, the bias of political parties is simply a ridiculous excuse not to prosecute Trump.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

No, but their policies are destroying the nation

Can you be specific? I like my life in Japan with non American policies and so do a lot of Japan based Trump people.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

So you're all as bad as each other. Right. The thing about the "right back at you" stuff you always go in for is that you're not denying or refuting the initial accusation.

You use "we" and "us" as if you are actually involved with the Republican Party somehow. Does that explain why you're always posting comments here?

Yes, Im actually Elaine Chao, I just dont like my husband that much.

What a dumb premise. after starting your comment with "you" and the other person starting with "they" the liberal posters constantly personalize their attacks at individual posters.

So when this "you" and "they" is obviously referring to the group I support?

then of course I would reply as "me".

or "we" or "use"

I can't make a whole lot of sense out of that without spending about half an hour to read it, but all in all by identifying yourself with a political party it looks as if you take all this stuff way too seriously.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

so where are the cases against all the others who also need to be held accountable for "possible" law breaking? they never seem to make it to the court in the end, do they?

its always very one sided and politically biased in favor of one team, dont you think?

-14 ( +0 / -14 )

Always the dems vs. republicans thing wears so thin.

Trump has been accused, repeatedly, of law breaking, and this is a process of finding out if the accusations show guilt or not. What's wrong with that? Nothing, it should be done. If he's innocent, he is so until proven guilty, and if the proof is not there, so be it. I'm open to see if he is innocent.

All the red herring stuff that exists in posts, media shouldn't allow the lies. Too bad it's a hits money maker to allow wrongs, as media created and now exacerbate the problem by enabling. It gets worse than the old show Crossfire, which got cancelled because the views were so ridiculous and polarized, without real substance. It was a pony show.

This case vs. Trump is a no brainer to process as a president who needs to be held accountable for possible law breaking. It's that simple.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Trump's people are always armed and often openly carry.

"We" means Trump people and believe that Trump should be in the WH now since Biden stole the election and "we" are bitter and angry about it. "We" live our lives revolved around Trump and only Trump. "We" are Trump.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

If not they use coercion or in Clinton's case, have a state trooper shoot them in the back of the head with a .22 and have the coroner call it suicide.

Is this a real story? Is Clinton being investigated? Why is the only person being investigated Trump?

It's obvious the DNC controls the socialist media

Tucker? Tucker said Biden stole the election and always talks about all the shootings in Chicago. It's fair and balanced.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Using legal tactics to defeat your opponent is not sedition and treason.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Trump's people are always armed and often openly carry.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

I'm constantly amazed by the accusations given by Trump supporters. There is a reason he lost the election. Only 8 others did that.

We are also amazed at a lot of illegal tactics the Democrats use to get politically ahead. If the Dems were sooooo confident in their candidates they wouldn’t pursue Trump obsessively and try to nail this guy (failing) on frivolous misdemeanor charges as they are trying to do.

How easily the GOP and their supporters ditch their lifelong warriors like putting an old nag out to pasture

Speaking of Wassermann-Schultz, that’s exactly what she did to Bernie, don’t think they’ve forgotten about that.

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

Is it illegal to pay people not to talk? The RNC and DNC supposedly do it regularly it seems is common knowledge. If not they use coercion or in Clinton's case, have a state trooper shoot them in the back of the head with a .22 and have the coroner call it suicide.

I am pretty sure it is illegal to pay a porn star for sex. Then again porn stars have sex for money all the time.

What about all of the past presidents who committed adultery? Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, Roosevelt and the woman in Georgia etc? What about all of the racial statements Biden made in the 70's?

I don't condone any of this but this seems well timed for the election cycle to come to a pinnacle around elections. Let's hope the USA can find a talking head to deliver the same message Trump did. It's obvious the DNC controls the socialist media in the USA. You have to be biased not to.

I saw this on another post on Japan today and agree whole heartedly, 'the USA has become Russia or China'. The media is censored and biased, unpalatable opinions are attacked by paid stooges, everyone is surveilled without authority or need, people who represent our constitution are pariahs, People who represent the minority are enabled ridiculously at the expense of those who work. China and Russia don't need to attack the USA is self destructing.

There is a reason approval of Mitch McConnell is higher among Democrats than Republicans.

He got us our Supreme Court, and now we have no further use for him.

Interesting use of 1st person plural there. You see, while I do have a party I support I do not consider myself to have any particular affiliation with them, hence my use of the 3rd person. You use "we" and "us" as if you are actually involved with the Republican Party somehow. Does that explain why you're always posting comments here?

9 ( +9 / -0 )

He got us our Supreme Court, and now we have no further use for him.

How will the war on women work out for the Trump party in the long term? Remember that 18 year old girls can vote too and that lack of red wave should be a warning with jokers like Hershel especially (who on earth wanted....?). Get back on the smaller government Trump people! Stop obsessing over saving the babies and the war on the female anatomy (an important point for smaller government). It has nothing to do with anything important. Remember, that Trump paid for lots of abortions and had a relationship with Stormy.

There is a reason approval of Mitch McConnell is higher among Democrats than Republicans....

....in Kentucky TrumpVille. The state makes the leader.

now we have no further use for him.

That's right because Trump people believe Biden stole the election and Mitch did not go along with it. Also, Trump hates Ron and says Ron is a "groomer"

8 ( +8 / -0 )

I don’t like Mitch

Yes Trump people don't like Mitch for NOT fighting to keep Trump in office since Trump people think Biden stole the election. I personally think Mitch demonstrated integrity for refusing to go along with Trump and that's why Trump people hate him. Trump people don't like Mitch since Mitch went against Trump. Great point.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

yeah it is. He’s calling his armed followers to protect him from justice.

He never mentioned anything about being armed.

You know that. Don’t play dumb.

I think the left is going apoplectic once again, they’re just mad that he beat them to the punch.

Or do you take his call for “protest” to mean put on your red hat and wave a Trump banner? That’s not what he means, and you know it.

I disagree.

He’s telling the system of Justice in America that he’ll unleash political violence if he’s held accountable for his litany of offenses. Aka, sedition.

Again, if that were the case he would have been in cuffs. That’s not going to happen, even if they were to arrest him, the charge itself is a gross misdemeanor that’s why no prosecutor wanted to touch it, once again, the Dems will go for a big let down and they will never, ever learn, so let’s try again.

We’ve already seen this game play out once. This is on Mitch for letting him off.

I don’t like Mitch but even he knows the law, so on that I will give him credit.

He should already be disqualified from holding any political office.

Ahhh, but the Dems can’t get that charge, in fact and constitutionally not only can he still run, but the Dems are turning him into a martyr, that helps Trump tremendously.

on the subject of partisanship, were you yourself not such an extreme partisan you would be capable of seeing the obvious.

Not a partisan, and I know right from wrong and stupid and this ploy tactic is just stupid, they’ll see.

-15 ( +0 / -15 )

the GOP backing their President is a crime

Impeachment is a political process. But notice how Obama has zero legal problems after his double term while Trump and his plethora of legal problems after just one term.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

The democrats twice impeached Trump for his crimes. He only got off because he was protected by his party. The swear is still on his history page

Ok, so basically, the GOP backing their President is a crime, when the Democrats back their President that’s justifiable politics.

-19 ( +0 / -19 )

This is on Mitch for letting him off.

To be fair, Mitch has a very delicate balancing act. Remember he is based in Kentucky in the middle of Trumpville. It's important to consider that Trump hates Mitch for refusing to believe Biden stole election. Trump also hates Desantis and says Ron is a groomer pedophile.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Trump is engaging in open sedition and his ever loyal worshippers here don’t care.

Well, that’s not the case and every legal (non-partisan) counsel knows this, if it were, they would and could have slapped the cuffs on him a long time ago.

Democrats never tried to overthrow the government.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Trump called for "Taking the nation back". He also called for the suspension of the constitution to allow that to happen.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Trump called for the overthrow of the government.

No, but he did use a clever tactical ploy at getting this story of what the Dems illegally are trying to do. The Dems thought they were so slick into luring this guy in and trying to control the narrative, and Trump beat them to that, now they have to deal with protesters, blew the thing wide open, so no it’s all out in the open and can be legally challenged, smart move by Trump, he just stole the Dems narrative and made it his.

Brilliant calculated move!

-18 ( +0 / -18 )

appearing more likely now that this was a leak to try to keep the Biden family getting 3 million from the CCP out of the news cycle.

I wonder how that relates to Trump accusing a legal representative of color of 'reverse racism' for having the temerity to investigate him and a privilegeed trust fund baby real estate magnate trying to paint himself as anti-establishment?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

and accused him, without evidence, of taking orders from the Justice Department and being a pawn for billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, who supported Bragg’s campaign through the Color Of Change PAC.

Ah the good old “without evidence” trope. With the evidence actually listed. Seems they forgot how that nonsense works.

“he’s not supported by Soros!”

Umm…Soros just financially supported him to get elected by spending money from a PAC.

“that means nothing at all!”

To see Trump in an orange jumpsuit wearing handcuffs with Secret Service protection looking on would be priceless.

Hmmm…

Andrew McCarthy:

Bragg is engaged in bare-naked politics. The case is not merely unworthy as a prosecution of Trump (which is why federal prosecutors walked away from it years ago, as did Bragg before he was pressured by progressive Democrats into reviving it); it is also a case that everyone knows Bragg would never bring against anyone other than Trump. Crime is rampant in New York, in part because Bragg’s default position is leniency and often non-prosecution when it comes to hardened criminals. Here, the case of falsifying business records against Trump…is, at best, a nonviolent misdemeanor that is stale and that could be inflated into a felony only by theories that are legally and factually dubious. This is a classic, invidious selective prosecution. It is being launched strictly for political purposes.

https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2023/03/19/andrew-mccarthy-lays-out-what-a-turkey-the-nakedly-political-case-is-against-trump-n718456

But we already knew that. But we get it, the Dems are trying another soon to be failed attempt at getting guy, we are now what…5th, 8th time? Who’s counting, right?

-16 ( +0 / -16 )

Good. Just the first of several indictments for the Ultra MAGA King and his criminal cabal...

No doubt he'll continue to up the rhetoric to include encouraging violence against our law enforcement professionals...will the tally be more than the 140 his insurgents put in the hospital on Jan 6th?

And will the far-right extremist armed mobs take to the streets to rampage or will it be crazed individuals like the MAGA member who shot up the FBI office in Cincinnati or assaulted Paul Pelosi?

Dangerous times ahead - but justice will be done - and the Ultra MAGA King will be perp-walked out of Trump Tower just like any other two-bit criminal...

Georgia's Marjorie Taylor Greene continues to demonstrate her undying loyalty to hush-money payor Donald J. Trump while undermining his attempts to generate civil unrest around his apparently impending arraignment. Saturday morning MTG apparently hoped to stave off the protests the former President encouraged on Truth Social with her own tweets about "Communists Democrats' planning to arrest" the old orange windbag. Greene then describes ascribes the GQP's favorite move, to manipulate elections with fear and anger, on Democrats.

I wonder if those are communist-owned Democrats or some other type.

Great! So with that power then Democrats shouldn’t be able to gain power whatsoever, because as you said, Republicans are the richest, hopefully that number will triple going forward for 2024 that helps….a lot.

Yes, things will be well and great if Republicans continue to get richer, so they can use their wealth make their position in society permanent. Nothing authoritarian about that. But what does any of this have to do with Bragg not being intimidated by Trump's threatening language?

So the political party I support will be better able to establish dominance in the future!

This style of discourse is a master class on elementary sophistry, but unfortunately well used by demagogues like Trump to reframe conversations and effective with a certain audience.

First Mr Bragg was criticized by the right for being ‘soft on crime’. Now he’s being criticized by the right for investigating crime. Oh wait, you meant crime by the little people, right? Or by people you don’t like, right?

You can’t have it both ways. If 45 is above the law so is Joe.

In a post Sunday, Trump lambasted Bragg — Manhattan’s first Black district attorney — as a “Racist in Reverse," and accused him, without evidence, of taking orders from the Justice Department and being a pawn for billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, who supported Bragg’s campaign through the Color Of Change PAC.

This is the worst of Trumpism. Republicans have always been privileged fat cats.

But now they are openly twisting rhetoric to paint minorities as somehow "racist" and woke when there is a pushback against oppression and billionaire white real estate oligarchs as "anti-establishment".

It is absurd but seems to work for some as evidenced by some of the replies here.
