Lol. It's not really a flaw in New Zealand's quarantine system, just a flaw in humanity.

You can't fix stupid.

How big was she? How many liters of wine. Did a song come with the wine?

You can't fix stupid.

Not stupid. Human. Besides, there are numerous risks every time people have "inappropriate encounters", and the risk of Covid-19 where neither partner was known to be exposed in a country where it barely exists is not even among the top 5.

man working at the quarantine hotel was supposed to be the last line of defense.

the two started passing notes to each other, including one written on the back of a face mask.

a security manager sent to investigate found the pair together in what authorities are describing as an inappropriate encounter, one in which physical distancing wasn't maintained.

One or two persons, in this case, arrogance, put New Zealand on the back-foot.

The actions of a few can bring disaster to many.

The virus will be with us, in one form or another for a very long time.

Drop your guard at your peril. Here in New Zealand, we fought hard to get where we are, but we get let down

by selfish individuals.

Stay safe people.

Kids will be kids.

Retirement homes are full of 65+ adults sleeping around. Mom said it is worse than college dorms in the late 1970s. Some of her 75+ yr old friends did act like kids, however.
