You don't talk to the United States that way, at least under me,

She just did Donny. SHE.

Trump has this weird linguistic qirk of calling women who confront him "nasty." He never uses that term to refer to males. One wonders what is going on in his brain.

Escalating an international spat , President Donald Trump

continues to alienate as many historical allies as his time in office allows. Maybe he wants to buy Greenland for himself to develop properties as the climate changes. Perhaps as a gift to one of his 'sponsors' or one of his 'sponsor's' oligarchs, which might include penthouse apartments.

He never uses that term to refer to males. One wonders what is going on in his brain.

His misogynistic (and 'ethnocentric') use of language is similar to that used by others in the far right. Look at the language they use to describe those they oppose. Weak men all.

Looks like Trump will have to make his "large real estate deal" somewhere else.

Maybe he'll buy North Korea, the charming little country that sends him "beautiful" letters. I'm sure billions of Chinese golfers will rush to visit the country clubs he'll plop down all over it.

Or maybe his good friend Putin will sell him Siberia, and he can exile all the Americans who hate him. (Oops. Not big enough.)

Or that place called "Nambia" that nobody else has heard of, and that he offered up as having a great healthcare system, something we could surely use here.

Or maybe the US Virgin Islands. He has already had conversations with the "president" without knowing it was him.

Or maybe we should just get rid of this embarrassing fool.

Gotta love European bluntness.

Funny, I don't think the Prime Minister of Denmark was speaking to me, and I'm an American.

She was calling the junk that spewed out of Donny's mouth what it was.

The only offense is to him, not the country.

@CrazyJoe.........The Chump just continues on down the deplorable road of hate and bigotry, reflecting the dogma in the US. And here people have the audacity to call Iran names?.........lol

What a riot.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

And the daily "two year old" Presidency continues....

I don't get what I want - WHAAA, WHAAA.....

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Maybe Ttump will be able to do a better deal with his half American buddy, Boris, if he puts in a bid for Brexitland.

What's the difference between Trump and Greenland?

Greenland can't be bought....

Trump could try mocking the accents of Danish people when speaking English as a riposte.

Problem is they speak English better than him.

More Fake News from Dump! He is projecting again!

Is Obama the real reason Trump cancelled his Denmark trip?

https://news.yahoo.com/obama-real-reason-trump-cancelled-203658270.html

Some observers have offered another possible explanation: Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, plans to visit Denmark at the end of September, and Trump feared the contrasting optics.

“Trump was scared of the likely contrast,” opined David Frum. “Trump knows Obama is bigger than he is, around the world as well as in the United States. That knowledge tortures Trump.”

Several things are immediately striking about this episode. First, it’s a measure of how low we’ve all sunk that, in trying to explain why the president of the United States is making a consequential decision involving an official state visit, we’re forced to choose between two competing rationales that have nothing whatsoever to do with international diplomatic considerations or our national interest.

Notably, the official reason for the cancellation is nearly as saturated in narcissism and megalomania as the “less” flattering Obama-oriented explanation is: Trump is either angry that Denmark Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is not taking his suggestion seriously, or he’s embarrassed by it – or both.

LOL! The moron bit off more than he can chew!

Hmmmmm....  Such a fuss.  sure it may be a silly idea, but not worthy of all this hoo haa.  History is littered with examples of countries selling territory to others.

Funny to see lower income Western expats in Japan pushing the Zionist narrative here on JT. What a riot...lol

Pandering to low income Western expats pushing the Zio narrative here on JT is unacceptable!

How dare an uppity woman rebuff The Chosen One, the KIng of Israel wants Greenland and he wants it now.

As I said earlier, he is insane.

Global warming is making Greenland more accessible to potential oil and mineral resources.

But, but, but.....Donny knows global warming is a hoax invented by China! How can a hoax melt enough ice to make resources available?

Does Donny know something we don't know?

"I thought it was not a nice statement, the way she blew me off."

says the champ of making not very nice statements about people who don't agree with him. Skin so thin it should be translucent, yet still looks like badly-tanned orange leather.

For all of Greenland's appeal, scientists consider it the canary in the coal mine for climate change and say its massive ice sheet has seen one of its biggest melts on record this summer, contributing to a global rise in sea levels. Global warming is making Greenland more accessible to potential oil and mineral resources. Russia, China, the U.S., Canada and other countries are racing to stake as strong a claim as they can to Arctic lands, hoping they will yield future riches.

What's up with Russia, China, Canada and other countries other than the U.S. taking advantage of global warming instead of doing everything they can do to stop it?

 Greenland is not for sale.

The Virgin Islands were in 1917.

You don't talk to the United States that way,

Hitler thought he was Germany, Napolean thought he was France, and Trump thinks he is the United States.

What this blowhard does not understand is that neither Greenlanders nor the government of Denmark have any particular need or want to sell nor is there some sort of crisis looming to make it seem necessary. Plus, it seems more like he is trying to buy people than territory because the place isn't Alaska in the 1800s populated mostly by people the involved governments barely view as human. You have to treat these people with respect as they have the voice to demand it, and they just did.

There is a way to approach this conversation and they way he did it was RIGHT OUT and insulting. Rather than ask the PM of Greenland if she was for sale like a used car, he should have asked her what she though of the idea of becoming a U.S. citizen along with her people. However, considering Puerto Rico even that might have been met with a brutal response but at least I might be a little more sympathetic to the man-child in the Oval Office.

As Trump is in a deal-making mood I think China should ask to buy California. Trump can get rid of all those pesky democrat voters at a stroke and also get billions in cash to give to the remaining US states. What's not to like? And China has trillions in US bonds it could use to make the purchase.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

All this talk of buying greenland must be a joke or some misunderstanding ... surely?

Scrote, you don't know California - we could buy the rest of the US if we felt like it, but it's a bit like a garbage bin sale.

What's the difference between Trump and Greenland?Trump's brain is melting down even faster than Greenland's ice sheet.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I can't believe this really happened. He's just so inept at this level.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

And in other news....

The President of Spain wants to buy back Florida....Trump said that's absurd.....the Spanish President called him "stupid and a moron"...

The President of Mexico called and wants to buy back Texas....Trump said that's crazy.....The Mexico President called him "loco"....

The Canadian Prime Minister said he wants to buy back Maine....Trump said he's nuts....The Canadian Prime Minister called him an "orange idiot"....

Putin called and said he wants to buy Alaska.....Trump said "Yes Master, I'll have the papers ready tomorrow"......

We're going to take back California from the liberals, possibly by 2024.

President Obama will be visiting Denmark the end of September so Denmark will get its visit from a real U.S. president. Thank you, Denmark, for being our ally.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Ordinary Danes shook their heads at the news, with many calling Trump immature.

They’re right of course but, you know...

“The Virgin Islands were in 1917.”

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well, it is kinda absurd - many people thought Trump was just joking, that we are just getting punked. And then turns out he's being serious

But what's really absurd is predicating a state visit on the issue of Greenland (particularly after saying that the Greenland issue has little to do on the state visit). Predicating the whole state visit simply on Greenland - who does that

That's really absurd, especially when already a lot of work on both sides preparing to the state visit as a royal guest, then being stood up and not showing up to a party being thrown specifically for you
