“That’s a view there buddy. Praise God, this is awesome,” he said, as he stepped out into the void. “Thank you Jesus for this beautiful view,” he added.

What?

as he neared the other side, the tension lifted palpably, notably when, instead of thanking God and Jesus, he said: “Thank you Discovery Channel for believing in me.”

Thanks for that bit, hilarious.

So, I guess God and Jesus were only supposed to look out for him over the void. This is one man who definitely knows his priorities.

“Praise you Jesus, how I love you,” he said repeatedly, adding that there was “a lot of wind

He should've done it with a concealed wing suit and chute. Set a record for wing-suit freefall and suprise the audience.

Just 'cause this is a bit interesting: The ancient Greeks had four different words for rope-walkers -

the Oribat dances on the rope; the Neurobat sets his rope at great heights; the Schoenobat flies down the rope; and the Acrobat does acrobatics on the rope.

In 260 BC Censor Messala did away with these distinctions, uniting them in a single word: funambulus [from funis, a rope, and ambulare, to walk].

This was being advertised on the Discovery Channel for weeks and I believe it was shown live, even here in Japan. This man's family is legendary in the business of tightrope walking. Wish I could've seen it. Glad he made it. Praise God and Jesus.

Watched it live and thought it was awesome, could never even think about doing something like that. But for some of you Atheists, if the man believes in God, that's his choice! More power to him for believing what he wants to believe in. The man seems to come from a strong religious family, strong morals and upbringing, kids look well grounded in values and traditions, they are not hurting anybody, so who cares? The man is not pushing up on anyone, why make fun of him? I just don't get Atheists. Lol
