I lost some flip flops my last trip to Bali. The ones they found, were they blue with red stripes?

Hopefully, they won't attempt to blow it up like these people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAW4mntPM-w

That’s just terrible, poor animal, breaks my heart.

I have my doubts it was the cause -- such a massive creature -- but I have no doubt it didn't make the whale any healthier, and obviously it is a sign of how terrible the state of things is with pollution.

Love our remaining sperm whales, folks!
See article below suggesting global warming caused by declining numbers of sperm whales, meaning 400,000 tons less CO2 extraction from the earth's ecosystem!?!

I agree with Smith. While not a part of a balanced diet, that much plastic in a huge animal would probably not have much impact. What IS good to see is that Indonesia may finally get serious about plastic waste. The fact is that the vast majority of the plastic in the oceans comes from developing countries in Asia, especially China, India, and Indonesia. North America and Europe are very minor contributors to the problem- both areas already have recycling programs and effective campaigns underway.
