Earthquakes everywhere lately. This planet has become scary. The heavy rains in Pakistan are really bad already. Let's hope that there were not too many casualties. RIP

Just as I began reading this article, my house here in Tokyo began shaking all over the place. I agree with Foxie, we live in a scary world and I hope many people can get rescued over there in the Himalayan countries. RIP

We are most certainly in an active period. Just felt my house rocking slightly here in Tokyo an hour ago. My deepest condolences to all those involved. It Is a terrifying thing to experience.

Yes, and not just in the Pacific Rim. We've had 2 earthquakes in 6 months where I live on the east coast of the US. Normally this area is seismically quiet.
