" I won't elaborate more on where & why I've been here / there. What difference does it make?" You are the one who brings it up as if you are a world authority (on top of your job at the Department of Defense). BTW, what are you doing at the Department of Defense?

"Screwed over?? Pffft--- Most republicans "I" know . . .are living kind of fat. We aren't crying for petty things like, "barrack Hussien obama Care." True men pave their destiny. Not 'haters" who want "revenge."" So you like ObamaCare. But lots of Republicans are feel otherwise like the Bundies and KKK.

"Even I want that. Trump is changing the rules and good for him." OK, so you want higher taxes and more public healthcare, which Trump indicated he will do. Fine with me. He is entertaining. I don't care as long as he implements his socialist ideas.Glad you agree.

Right now,, US Senate and Coongress have GOP as majority In NV,elected people work together. H Reid support HC but he let us to think free. So we don't bad mouth Trump.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It looks like the bubble is presenting a case that the GOP is in the driver's seat and the Democrats are imploding.

Correction! Anyone not seeing the Trump steamrolling going on and the anger that the people have towards the president, congress and the established politicians both Democrat and the GOP and can't see the slow, but surly discontent and fragmentation of the Democratic party is deep, deep in the Unicornverse as well as denial.

Not surprising since they famously invented the position that Obama is a racist obstructionist, naturally right after the rest of the US and pretty much the entire world had decided that about the GOP.

Yeah and as a result, they took Congress back.

They are very good at keeping an ear to the ground for Republican criticisms then repackaging it as Democratic criticisms and peddling it to dwellers.

So now we are back at hating the messenger and NOT the message. Kinda like Dems delusional belief that Hillary is a good and flawless candidate. ROFL

It's a key benefit to a system that blocks outside information from entering.

Both sides do this, but Dems really run around with their fingers in their ears screaming "La, la, la, la.."

So now Republicans here are stuck supporting Donald Trump, a man they say they don't like and I'm guessing provides a sense of embarrassment for their party.

Kinda true, but at least their honest. The 67% of people that don't like Hillary as a person and politician where are they? Why are they not so vocal OPENLY? Because for now, they have to tow the line, grit their teeth and deal with it. Freewill thinking and dissent is something liberals were never good at. They are much better at towing the line and following the hammer and sickle.

I suppose it's easier than coming out and saying how much of a mess their party is.

Nonsense, almost every conservative knows, understands and admits the party is a mess. When you have a problem, the best way to deal with it is to admit that there is a problem. That's what the GOP is doing. Demi should try it! It most definitely help them out as well. God knows they seriously need it.

They've been well trained by the bubble to shut up and keep their opinions to themselves.

You really haven't been watching the news recently or you just want to believe what you want to believe.

Trump speech was Christie telling he support T and Trump looked mad. as Chris kept talking. I doubt T will use Chris who bankrupted NJ.Good. Riddance for Rubio. Maybe Adelson will give money to R if he can count

Trump makes the elections as if it was one of his reality shows..........either that or he's highlighting how much of a reality show the elections are.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Guys, guys, you're missing the boat!

Instead of listening to your own Liberal echo chamber about how "bad" Trump is, why don't you take a trip over to that bastion of Liberalism, the "newspaper of record," the New York Times? There, you will find the editorial board, who have recently endorsed Hillary Clinton for President, now, suddenly and surprisingly, turning on Hillary and demanding that she release her transcripts of the three speeches she made....to Goldman Sachs...for $675,000.00.

Check out the normally rabid liberal comments sections, which all,and I mean to a man ALL, agree with and DEMAND that Hillary release those transcripts, right before Super Tuesday no less. I mean, what does she have to hide?? If she's the "progressive" she's been claiming to be on the campaign trail, than surely she will have stood up for "progressive" policies in her over-compensated speeches on Wall Street, right, Democrats?? Right?? (Crickets)

Trump is going to sweep Super Tuesday. Criticize him all you want: who's going to stop him? Cruz? Rubio? Rubio won't win a SINGLE STATE ON SUPER TUESDAY, while Cruz will be lucky to win his home state of Texas and...well? All your talk and criticism is just that: talk and criticism, nothing more!

Mark my words: with the New York Times turning (already!) against Hillary, if she is in fact the Democratic nominee...than please say Hello to the next President of the United States, Donald J. Trump!!!

Wow. So petty. So personal. So childish. This makes it two in a row.

If the shoe doesn't fit....

Trump has changed the Republican party. Oh, its been broken for a while, and getting worse and worse for just as long. But there were limits. No longer. True

True, but something of a phenomenon is happening on the Democratic side as well, which is something you guys just won't face up to and that is Hillary is a deeply flawed, horrible, unlikeable and unpopular candidate, was one of THE worst senators to run a state, which she never really did and as defense Secretary as we have seen with the overthrow of Mubarak, Gaddafi (didn't like the man, wanted him gone, but Clinton didn't think about any what happens after, basically making the same mistake Bush made, that was all her, even Obama had nothing to do with that mess up, which brings us to Benghazi and the lies that subsequently followed.

Back in her heyday, Palin tapped into the same rural and working class white pig-ignorant, self-entitled dissatisfaction and rage.

It's true, Whites have been so discriminated against since Obama has been in office and instead of uniting the country, Obama made race relations worse and that coming from a man that owes his presidency to mostly Whites. Yes, I said it!

It was all about Real American™ and a whole lotta pretty awful insinuations and lot of dog whistles against those who weren't Real Americans.

You mean, like Illegals?

Trump bullies, using the most meaningless coarse and vulgar language.

So what's the difference between Trump being vulgar to your face compared to the Dems that do it behind your back? Again, you guys are not understanding the reason for his popularity. You guys are just focusing on his vulgar language, seriously? Another reason why Dems are so out of touch with the public, they only selectively pay attention to the narrative that fits their tunnel vision worldview.

When ignored, he goes for more. When called out, he repeats another stupid attack bases on lies.

Then you really should have the deepest hate and condemnation towards Hillary then.

Its all about giving the finger, yelling louder. Power. Truth has nothing to do with it. It's about control.

Trump being loud and direct compared to Hillary being quiet liar and untrustworthy, thinking about it, it's not even an option.

We, here in the trenches - -either in person or online-- immediately recognized who and what Trump represents (the insane stupid and ignorant base) and how out of control they are.

I don't think I can say on JT what people are that want to vote for Hillary.

The establishment and the other candidates didn't really get it. Once they did, they had no idea how to handle that.

So with Hillary raking in millions of dollars and cozying up to Wall Street, but at the same time, taking from the side of her mouth saying, she cares and can relate to the poor doesn't give you just a little pause?

We do, because we've been dealing with their bull for decades, and know it well: up close and personnel.

Welcome to my world!

Trump has changed the Republican party. The conservative base is out of control and loving it.

And the same thing is happening on the Democratic side, but one thing that is different, Dems are part of the collective and vote in lockstep regardless of how bad a candidate is, even if they hate that candidate, but that is slowly coming to an end and now you do see, upheaval, defiance and disloyalty growing in the Democrat party, so maybe soon, you start to see the separation of the radical progressive wing of the party with the establishment being out of touch with their voter base.

Trump will most likely get the nomination and that will most likely, they will destroy Republican party in its current form, but red-meat conservative don't care. In fact, they want that. They have been screwed over by the part for decades, and want revenge.

Even I want that. Trump is changing the rules and good for him. But don't worry, the Democrats days will come soon enough. You guys got Liz Warren in the shadows waiting....

Payback time, baby.

Yup, soon enough.

Alternatively, in the event Trump doesn't win the primary, it will because his opponent had to adopt the same nasty and personally insulting persona that Trump has.

Yeah, but at least it's in your face and unlike Hillary, they don't speak with a forked tongue.

Because that, my friends, is in the end all the little conservative really understands: nasty personal insults.

And yet, his pole numbers keep going up.

Good times indeed.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Those two need to refresh arithmetic. Trump buildings were built by construcyion company, not by Trump. He owns a csino hitel in Vegas Strip meaning his business earm several billion $ a year after ggaming tax. . Not millions. He did not inherit, He had Real Estate Business. But Casinos produce more. And Nevada does not have fine against anyone. Nevada ID does not have race column.

And you still seem to be under the mistaken impression that China is communist.

They have "limited" freedom. They cannot even freely visit "normal" websites. Military service is mandated. Look at how they're constantly dogging the people of Hong Kong. Guess that whole "one country" - "two systems" isn't working so well neither.

China might not be 100% soviet-era communist. Just like like B. Sanders isn't Joseph Stalin or Krushchev . . . but got major similarities.

They have been skrewed over by the part for decades, and want revenge.

Screwed over?? Pffft--- Most republicans "I" know . . .are living kind of fat. We aren't crying for petty things like, "barrack Hussien obama Care." True men pave their destiny. Not 'haters" who want "revenge."

Trump bullies, using the most meaningless coarse and vulgar language. When ignored, he goes for more. When called out, he repeats another stupid attack bases on lies. Its all about giving the finger, yelling louder. Power. Truth has nothing to do with it. It's about control.

Obama won a reelection and has consistently had approval ratings that are triple Republicans'. The mid-term election wasn't about him. And if he were running for President today, he'd win again.

If you believe that, then you Dems are really living in an Alice in Wonderland fairytale.

This cycle a larger number of red seats are up for grabs and that's not good for the GOP. And they especially do not like elections where there is high voter turnout, which presidential elections are. Hence all the voter suppression laws and curbing voter registrations.

For illegals, it should be suppressed and oh, there's this....

https://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2010/05/voting-rights-illegal-immigrants/

Democrats are the absolute epitome of dirty politics. This is why the GOP want legal immigration and voter registration to avoid exactly this what is going on.

But that's all too complex for the bubble dwellers.

Then I would suggest that the Dems stop cheating and open up and be upfront and honest about their true intentions.

Obama lost the mid-terms because people hate him, which means they love Republicans, the end.

That first line is without question true and a strong repudiation of Obama's policies.

The "everyone" part of "everyone is waiting for the clock to wind down" would be GOP-controlled Congress, but they've been doing that ever since Obama was first elected, so that's nothing new.

When Obama took office, the Dems controlled all 3 branches of government, the GOP was completely left out in the cold, ignored, shunned and after they took back the House in 2010 they were able to get some say, but still Obama wasn't willing to sit down, deal or work with the GOP on any legislature if it didn't go his way and let's not forget there were over 300 GOP legislative proposals that never reached the president that just sat on Harry Reid's desk and collected dust. But that part, you libs keep conveniently gloss over that part.

Meanwhile, Obama is wiping the floor with them.

Really? How so?

How's that stonewalling over Obama's SCOTUS nominee going? - not only will it cost the GOP politically, it will ensure his EPA directives to curb carbon emissions will be upheld via the lower court's ruling. Oh, happy days!

You mean for the GOP? Once again, you guys have a very short memory.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnpjs45D7OY

But it's ok if you guys do it, right. Demi are the biggest hypocrites!

I've said this before but if you could confine your rightist lunatics to the third world, snake-handling, assault weapon-wielding states of your union, it wouldn't be an issue.

I always wonder why foreigners worry so much about our politics, never could get that.

Unfortunately, these crackpots sometimes get into power and start stampeding across the planet causing havoc and dragging other countries down with them.

Then talk to your leaders NOT to ask the US for help, money logistics, military and humanitarian support then they don't have to worry about being drawn to any conflict.

Start treating and taking care of your mentally ill properly instead of voting for them.

If we get Hillary out, we should be alright.

A decent healthcare system may help.

If we can redo that wretched Obamacare, maybe.

Then the rest of us can shut up.

Hmmmm....

@nishikat. I won't elaborate more on where & why I've been here / there. What difference does it make?

China is the new No. 1 car market. Good. They buy more luxury US vehicles than Japanese luxury vehicles. Even better in California, the chinese can buy those same vehicles. Travel state-to-state. Coast-to-coast. No papers. No highway fees.

Just pay for gas. Pass "Go" Collect $200.

"that I've seen in all 3 countries: US, China and Mex." Are you sure? Can you be more specific about your experiences there? Were you there working for the American Department of Defense? In China they could have arrested you for being a spy. Please enlighten us on your exact experience in these countries - Mexico including as you describe this South-of-the-Border country as North America's Somalia (Mexico is done!"). We are waiting for more specifics about your insightful and personal life experiences in Mexico.

"Its so common in america to own a car." China is the new No. 1 car market. Did your visit to China suggest otherwise? Did you know that China also has telephones?

They hate Mexico too. They "think" republican. This is why they serve their country in the US military. Not Mexico's sorry-ass military.

No, check information available publicly. I'm 100% right.

Okay. keep ur shirt on. So you're 100% right. Just build a wall anyways, for the political statement and aspect of the situation. If not for the actual restraining of illegals "hopping" the border.

China despises the accumulation of wealth

They frown (or should be frowning on the whole principle of capitalism.) Why the "one" country, "two" systems thing indoctrined into HK back in '97 then? There are lots of billionaires there too.

So Beijing has more billionaires. Everyday americans get a slice of the pie. Look @how poor rural china is. The living conditions, the infrastructure. Its so common in america to own a car. In china it isn't.

Was your immigration information ifrom the same source as the information regarding China despising wealth accumulation?

Sorry, no links pal. Just going on (life experience) what I've seen in all 3 countries: US, China and Mex.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

@Wc626

Pardon me from asking where your information comes from about immigration. It's just that you wrote the other day how communist China despises the accumulation of wealth when we heard the news that Beijing has more billionaires than New York.

Was your immigration information ifrom the same source as the information regarding China despising wealth accumulation?

Heh, the liberals at this site (especially the foreigners who have no say in our election process) are deep into the denial phase of grief. After Super Tuesday next week, they will be entering the anger phase. . . .

Yeah, whatever. How about the conservatives and Republicans who loathe Trump?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Mexico's economy is growing in the right direction (Illegal immigration is reversing - even J. Bush confirmed this)

You bought that line? J Bush's wife is Mexican. When he was a young college lad, he fell in love with the mexican people and culture when he went there. Mexico's economy is growing in the right direction? The whole friggin' country is ran by these cartels. The government officials and the Federales are a bunch of crooks too. No wonder why they come to the US. Mexico is done!

Trump’s declaration that he’d build a wall on the Mexican border....Mexico will pay for the wall.

No, they won't. and Trump said it would be around 10-12 billion? Is Trump really certain about the costs of the wall? You know...there are also great economical ideas like the 2nd war in Iraq. It's reasonable to have walls where it's easy for illegals to cross (where it's also easy to build and watch the wall). But the problem is Mexico's specialty is digging tunnels and that won't stop. And boats? Then there is the problem of visa overstaying which is usual case (you would have to ban air routes from Mexico or entry by Mexicans). Mexico will just tell Trump to screw off when told to pay for it. And Mexico will lose aid just in the 100s of millions and their GDP is well over a trillion and ever growing???? Mexico's economy is growing in the right direction (Illegal immigration is reversing - even J. Bush confirmed this) and they will just laugh that off as this aid won't be needed in the long term anyway. Then there is the other "problem" of millions more Muslims projected to be in the USA, which DT hates- he will need to deal with those. Then the Asians (not only the rich ones but the criminals like the recent California prison escapees). There will be more Asian gangs but everyone is obsessed with MS-13 although I don't see any of them doing any crime in my ungated community. Beyond its reasonable construction and maintenance Trump's Jurassic Park type wall is a short sighted stupid idea. And just like the 2nd Iraq war the problem that centers around this wall is based on paranoia and too much imagination just like the 2nd Iraq war which will end up being a big waste.

@ Galapagos --

The news channel owned by the billionaire Australian media magnate has pronounced Trump The Anointed One, so there's hardly any point in holding an election, let alone state primaries.

Hey - us Aussies disowned that Monty Burns clone years ago! The funny thing is, I have a different read: the grub Murdoch seems to be daily running negative attacks against the grub Trump in his rags in Australia, at least:

Mid-terms and presidential elections draw from different voting pools. Reagan lost in '86, but his VP won in '88; Clinton won in '98, but his VP lost in '00 (well, per the Supreme Court; he won the popular vote). There are too many unknowns to extrapolate from a mid-term.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Gingrich's treasonous overreach and tantrums were unbelievable at the time but he looks like a lightweight compared to today's GOP.....

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Yeah - funny how "Saint Ronny" fared slightly worse than the son of his vice president. In fact, the most recent example of a "lame duck" president bucking this trend was Clinton in '98, when GOP overreach scuttled their chances. Kinda makes you wonder about the steps they took after their 2012 post-mortem.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Laguna - Too young to remember the shellacking the GOP took in '86

Or Lemming Day the First in 2006?

Some of our radical contributors never got over that. Heh.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Obama stopped himself by losing more seats in both houses of congress more quickly than any president in recent history.

Ah, that explains a lot - you must be really young! Too young to remember the shellacking the GOP took in '86 under Reagan, which was very comparable (or slightly worse) than that Obama experienced in 2014. Don't be embarrassed; you'll likely learn these things as you mature.

The "everyone" part of "everyone is waiting for the clock to wind down" would be GOP-controlled Congress, but they've been doing that ever since Obama was first elected, so that's nothing new. Meanwhile, Obama is wiping the floor with them. How's that stonewalling over Obama's SCOTUS nominee going? - not only will it cost the GOP politically, it will ensure his EPA directives to curb carbon emissions will be upheld via the lower court's ruling. Why would Hillary Clinton have an advantage with black voters over Bernie Sanders?

According to the average of the polls, 70% of Republicans think that one of the three stooges on the stage is their kind of guy.

And all of the Democrats think the same thing about their two stooges.

If that doesn't send a shiver down your spine, you might be a zombie.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

5petalsFeb. 26, 2016 - 07:16PM JST pretty stupid and juvenile to watch

Agreed. Supid. Juvenile. And obviously insane.

Ohio governor John Kasich made repeated calls for greater seriousness of purpose

Sorry Kasich, you're sane. You have no place on that stage with the freakshow. What's the governors problem anyway? Trump's supporters aren't interested in intelligent discourse, it's all about screaming louder than the other guy and doubling down on impossible promises.

Voting for these people, voting against Donald Trump at this point, is really treason to your heritage. – David Duke

Come on people. Trump will rip up the Treaty of Versailles. He'll make the Reich white again!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

It was too easy to see what these 2 clowns were up too, just gang up on Trump to get him out of the way then they will have at each other latter. Probably already had it all planned and staged before they went on, pretty stupid and juvenile to watch. Watched it half way and was disgusted by it. Carson and the Governor were the only 2 with anything worthwhile to offer and to even watch.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Well, Rubio put on a pretty amazing face in light of his earlier disastrous appearance. It's almost like he had really been reprogrammed. Or perhaps it's performance enhancing drugs.

Rubio jibed: “You know where Donald Trump would be if he hadn’t inherited $200m? Selling watches in Manhattan.”

Talk about a slapdown. Trump was visibly seething like a petulant bully being publicly humiliated.

You'd have to be crazy to be considering voting for any of these people. Then again, it is the Insane Party.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Really? So, a simple face and a suit is sufficient to drive Republicans so crazy that they would cannibalize their own party in order to stop him?

No, not at all. Obama stopped himself by losing more seats in both houses of congress more quickly than any president in recent history. All the republicans had to do was put the word "republican" next to their name on the ballot, and that was sufficient for them to win, no cannibalizing required, no craziness necessary, right?

And no one is cannibalizing anyone now, Obama is well into his last year in office, he has already been stopped, now everyone is waiting for the clock to wind down. Obama will not get to choose a new justice for the court, his own vice president Biden gave a fiery speech back in the days of Bush the First warning him not to appoint a new justice during his last year in office, as the democrat senate would not go along with it. Funny to see Biden's own words and policy turned against him, all the republican senate has to do is replay Biden's speech on the senate floor.

Obama's administration is almost over, time to see who will be next.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

If you want someone who is outside of the influence of the media and K-Street then you'd be voting for Sanders, not one of the richest men in the world who is part of the process you don't seem to like very much.

I've always said; Hillary vs Trump, of course Trump. Sanders vs Trump, I'll decide after the debates. I've liked and followed Sanders probably longer than you have, more then 17 years now. Watching C-SPAN instead of The Simpsons will do that to you. And I've always said national health care will come to the US sooner or later, why not start now. Sanders or Trump, I'm afraid both will be pushing up daisies because the global Central Banking Mafia will pull a JFK on them.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Obama is a non-entity. A face and a suit, and no substance.

Really? So, a simple face and a suit is sufficient to drive Republicans so crazy that they would cannibalize their own party in order to stop him? My, oh my, I had a low opinion of the GOP before, but this decreases it further.

sangetsu03,

I don't think Obama lived up to all of his promises either, but man do you have things wrong...

It was the graceful, dignified, intelligent, and perseverant Obama which caused the house and senate to be filled with republicans, and why he has been stymied in everything he has tried to do since 2010.

Putting aside the race element, Obama lost the house and senate because Presidents often lose the house and senate. It's a way voters balance things out. You even mention yourself how Reagan didn't have a majority in either.

Obama himself is to blame for whatever gridlock which exists in Washington, because rather than become the uniter he promised us he would be, he became a divider of the worst sort.

Please... He was gridlocked because of an unprecedented lack of cooperation and respect from a Republican congress. From a progressive perspective, Obama compromised too much, too early when dealing with Republicans, and they still refused to work with him. Please, tell how in the world Obama was divisive (other than being a different color from conservative America).

Since Obama lost the house and senate, he has gotten nothing done.

So what's this Obamacare I hear conservatives bitch and moan about all the time? The economy is a lot better than when he got in too.

Take a look and see how many games of golf Obama has played while the middle east erupts in flames, the economy staggers along, and Russia extends it's power in eastern europe and the middle east.

Bush took a record number of vacation days and the Middle East erupted into flames as a direct result of his actions. Obama brought the economy back from one of the worst disasters in history. Can you at least give him some credit for that? And Russia's extension of power is related to the mess in the Middle East which again started on Bush's watch. I mean if the US is allowed to go into other countries and start wars, why can't Putin?

The problem is that the US lost it's moral high ground. We lost it long before Obama, and I can guarantee we're not getting it back with Trump.

Now THAT was a debate. It was so thrilling, I felt like I was at a boxing match. Even though I'm a Trump supporter, I think Rubio and Cruz did an excellent job hitting him with hard questions and keeping up the pressure. But Trump lashed back by detailing his stance on obamacare and free markets. He showed the toughness and calmness under pressure needed to be the leader of the free world. I'm sure Putin, Kim, Israel, and the weak liberals "got nervous" in his wake. Super Tuesday can't get here soon enough! Make America great again!

but here in America private citizens are allowed to change their opinions.

Good to hear you say Americans are allowed to be human. I think most humans living outside of binaryland do change our opinions.

But I was referring to a presidential candidate who recently said he opposed Bush's invasion of Iraq at the time of the invasion, but was found to have actually stated he was for the invasion - at the time of the invasion. That's not changing opinion, at least in my mind, that's being DIShonest. Admitting your opinion has changed is different from flat out lying about what you said. In my opinion. How are things down in the land of steers and fears? Your heehawdist militias out marchin' and drillin'?

What the GOP can't see is that the more they try to push Obama down, the more they lift him up. Obama has grace, dignity, intelligence, and perseverance they can't begin to fathom.

Pardon me whilst I vomit. If Obama were any of those things, his party would not have resounding lost it's majorities in both the house and senate. It was the graceful, dignified, intelligent, and perseverant Obama which caused the house and senate to be filled with republicans, and why he has been stymied in everything he has tried to do since 2010. Obama himself is to blame for whatever gridlock which exists in Washington, because rather than become the uniter he promised us he would be, he became a divider of the worst sort. Were he a man of real strength, character, and leadership, he would not have lost his majorities, and if had genuine strength of character, he would have been able to get things done. I remember Reagan, who never during his two terms held a majority in either house of congress, but still managed to get everything on his agenda accomplished. He wanted it done, and it was done. Since Obama lost the house and senate, he has gotten nothing done. That is is fault, and no one else's.

Obama is a non-entity. A face and a suit, and no substance. Were such not the case, he would not be in the situation he now finds himself in. He was merely the hood ornament of his party's machine in 2008. They got him into office, only to find that he was as poor a president as he was a senator. Take a look and see how many games of golf Obama has played while the middle east erupts in flames, the economy staggers along, and Russia extends it's power in eastern europe and the middle east.

Getting back to the debate, Rubio and Cruz are not going to find a way to catch up with Trump. More than likely the debate will put them only further behind than they were before.

Which honest guy is he, the one who said he supported the US invasion of Iraq, or the one who said he opposed it?

Foreigners aren't expected to know this, but here in America private citizens are allowed to change their opinions. Unlike supporters of a career politician/establishment democrat like Mrs. Bill Clinton who, as a U.S. Senator, voted for going to Iraq only to flip flop years later and say she was against the invasion. Heh, you can't unring a bell. . . .

FizzBit: Or do you hire a plumber?

Does your plumber promote torture?

If you want someone who is outside of the influence of the media and K-Street then you'd be voting for Sanders, not one of the richest men in the world who is part of the process you don't seem to like very much.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Heh, the liberals at this site (especially the foreigners who have no say in our election process) are deep into the denial phase of grief. After Super Tuesday next week, they will be entering the anger phase. . . .

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

@Fizzbass And especially Trump. Why, because he says so. He's not denying it. He's telling everyone "this is how it works in Washington" and "this is what's wrong with America"

It's pretty easy to point out problems, but I've yet to hear Trump offer any solutions beyond 'I'll make Mexico build a wall', which apparently appeals to a segment of US population.

I also believe he's an honest guy.

Which honest guy is he, the one who said he supported the US invasion of Iraq, or the one who said he opposed it?

@illsss he's the only one espousing nationalist instead of globalist policies.

Back to honesty: he might be espousing it, but he's mouthing nationalistic words some want to hear while his private global empire is expanding.

I don't understand why people equate honesty with belligerence.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Yeah, let's get real here. Trump isn't going to "clean out the crap from DC" when he can leave an even stinkier stain.

What radical changes are in store with Trump? Ban experienced and educated professionals from supervising government? Only ditzy fashion models and socialites need apply? How does that represent less crap than now?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Wow, just... wow... I'm speechless that anyone would think that Trump is in this for other American's besides himself. And I'd say the same for Hillary too. Scary times we're living in. Very scary times indeed.

Everyone already knows that the other candidates are neocons/neoliberals, so even if Trump is in it for himself at least he's the only one espousing nationalist instead of globalist policies. He's the only one who isn't a shill for free trade, endless wars in the Middle East, or mass immigration designed to depress working class wages.

@HonestDictator

Well one of us will be eating our hats when all is said and done. As for hillary, all bets are off.

@MrBum

The MSM IS part of the corporation/establishment, a major part, all connected. Here ya are. Please study Time Warner, News Corp, VIACOM and SONY. And BTW, this info has been available for over 20 years, so I'm kinda boggled that you're not aware that they all sit on each others corporate boards.

Trump is the plumber that's going to try to clean out the crap from DC. In my heart I believe that. I also believe he's an honest guy.

FizzBit,

You seem to have a problem with the MSM, but your go to guy is Trump? He owes much of what he is today to the MSM. He's a master at manipulating and using them. Do you really think he'll do anything to change them?

MSM isn't the monster, they're just the mouthpiece of the real monsters who pay them, big businesses and corporations. Trump might not do exactly what they want, but he's not going to do much about them either. All he wants to do is build a big wall with his name on it. If you want real change, Sanders is really the only choice.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Or do you honestly believe that business leaders (like Trump) are not tightly connected to political parties and political leaders? By the way, do you work for Trump or one of his industries?

To answer your second question, no.

Do I believe that business leaders (like Trump) are not tightly connected to political parties and political leaders? Of course I do. And especially Trump. Why, because he says so. He's not denying it. He's telling everyone "this is how it works in Washington" and "this is what's wrong with America". Many Americans, including myself, have known about this "K Street" problem, that goes back probably since the beginning of the Republic. Teddy Roosevelt was the last crusader to shoulder the burden of taking on the establishment, or whatever you wanna call it, crony capitalism, etc. So, I will support anyone who is attempting to challenging the system.

So, if you want to fix a plumbing problem, do you hire a carpenter, or a jester who's going to lie and tell you everything is going to be great? Hope and Change! But nothing has changed, everything is business as usual.

Or do you hire a plumber?

Trump is the plumber that's going to try to clean out the crap from DC. In my heart I believe that. I also believe he's an honest guy.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

@Fizzbass Do you work for the MSM?

No, nor do I work for the CFR, international bankers, the Democratic Party, the Republican party, any of the other putative world controlling powers, the ubiquitous THEM, said by many posters to have conspired to corral us the ruck (of which I’m an individual, non-aligned member) all these years.

Back to MSM, I’d appreciate it if you’d forward links to some of the nihilist media you get your info and insights from. Every day I read a variety of sources (I refuse, however to read your New American) but haven’t been able to find any suggesting Donald Trump was not born into an establishment family and is not firmly part of the US’s (the world for that matter) business and political establishment, the folks who constitute the current ruling class.

Or do you honestly believe that business leaders (like Trump) are not tightly connected to political parties and political leaders? By the way, do you work for Trump or one of his industries?

CNN has cut the stream. Can't watch it. Gee I wonder why???? See post above about MSM

Bush may have partied hard in his student days, but at least he was making friends with classmates like Vicente Fox. Who are the heavyweight allies that Trump is going to bring to the table, Paris and Nicky Hilton? Can you imagine Trump's fashion zombies running the country!

The news channel owned by the billionaire Australian media magnate has pronounced Trump The Anointed One, so there's hardly any point in holding an election, let alone state primaries.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

NAFTA benefits Mexico immensely. If Trump were to try and threaten NAFTA, Mexico would chip in.

Numerous corporations are established in Mexico for cheap labor, no OSHA and no EPA. Trump would sign his death warrant if he did mess with NAFTA.

Mexico also would not want to share the costs or repatriating the Central and South Americans returned to Mexican soil. Another leverage tool.

Human and drug trafficking are big business for Mexico. Wouldn't you expect the elpresidente to resist change? The corruption south of the border is well known. Who knows how high up the money trail goes.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Well Trump is always pledging to emulate the styles of Generals MacArthur and Patton, speaking of the '50's and the last war the US outright won...Interesting choice of idols.

MacArthur, a selfish, arrogant individual and Patton, who for all of his combat leadership skills, was a bombastic prima donna. Grant was a drunk too, but like the other two, he got the job done.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Maybe because so many of the sheeple who support him are heavily armed chickenhawks wanting to take the US back to some mythical past (1950's? 1780's?) that they can't articulate beyond 'make America great again'?

Nope......Just average Americans tired of selfish corrupt politicians pandering to wall street, lobbyists, corporations and the media. The MSM is a corporate monster and they will do everything in their power to divide the country just like they've been doing for the last 4 decades. Do you work for the MSM?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Why is everyone so worried about Trump's momentum?

Maybe because so many of the sheeple who support him are heavily armed chickenhawks wanting to take the US back to some mythical past (1950's? 1780's?) that they can't articulate beyond 'make America great again'? Maybe because though he's new to running for a political office he's as firmly entrenched in the US business and political establishments as Hillary or the others, and some US Americans do in fact want someone who represents something different? Maybe because many believe that he's been a greedy, self-serving leopard all his life who won't be able to change his spots once he's elected? (I can see the US military dressed in Trump uniforms and lodged in Trump towers - with the military paying exorbitant rent to its private landlord.) Maybe because like the candidates he calls liars he's veracity challenged himself? Maybe because if he does win, the world might see John Adam's tyranny of the majority acted out at a scarier level than ever before imagined. Maybe because the US is a violent country and an angry man like him who encourages bullying will bring out the worst in its people. And the world in general.

Imagine a split TV screen with Trump, Cruz, Rubio, et al. on one side

Trump is not an establishment Republican nor is he a politician, so he would actually share the screen with Obama, not Rubio and Cruz.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

As the GOP cockfight gets uglier and uglier, bloodier and bloodier, what emerges is the difference between that and Obama's presidency. The GOP built much of their suicidal dysfunction on race-based hatred of Obama. Imagine a split TV screen with Trump, Cruz, Rubio, et al. on one side (aided and abetted by Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Palin, Fox News, etc.), and Obama on the other side. The contrast is enough to induce vertigo.

What the GOP can't see is that the more they try to push Obama down, the more they lift him up. Obama has grace, dignity, intelligence, and perseverance they can't begin to fathom.

Without the unyielding, withering, hatred and obstructionism they have thrown at Obama from day one, he would just be a pretty good President. But THEY, in their blind hatred, have made him into the greatest President since Lincoln. Above Roosevelt. Above Kennedy. Way above Reagan.

Hatred doesn't die easy. It makes a real big mess before it does.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

When this article first appeared, I already knew kc would be the 1st to throw around his bashing remarks.

You know, I'm starting to wonder if, no I've decided, KC is actually a Republican establishment hack trying to discredit Trump. Think about it. KC never uses such language against Cruz or Rubio, only Trump. Certainly no liberal would use such language.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Trump is pising off American allies. Remember how tight Bush and Mexican president Vicente Fox were--best bros since he attended university in the US--now we see Fox going on TV in the US to say he's not going to build a f'ing wall and Trump the rich guy should pay for it himself. Bad news if undiplomatic Trump is going to pick fights with everyone.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

the New York billionaire predicted the relative civility between Rubio and himself is about to disappear.

Trump's obsession with himself has robber the GOP ShiaTea of anything worth saying or hearing. Vote Bigot, Vote Trump.
