Well played, Mr Obama !

So Gadhafi is wanted by the International Criminal court for his brutal crackdown on rebels. Ok so when can we expect warrants issued for the leader of Syria after all he has brutally cracked down on rebels in his country not to mention the numerous other mid east countries that have recently been struck by rebellions. And when can we expect the arrest warrant for Mr's Bush and Blair afterall they killed more in Iraq the Qadhafi has in Libya all in the name of their invasion to save the world from the imaginary WMD's.

I think NATO have opened a very dangerous can of worms here, lets hope Gadhafi is all talk but history has shown he has the means to carry out his threats and really what does he have to lose.

Great! This warning will only increase discrimination against Libians and other Middle eastern people living in Europe.

Tit for tat?

Some people said it was fair game that they bombed his grandkids into oblivion. Let the two faced attitude begin.

You declare war on Gadaffi and he declares war on you. That's how it works.

Whether its airstrikes or strapping a bomb to your chest, you don't actually know who you will wind up killing. NATO has certainly proven that. So the collateral damage excuse is just that; an excuse. And its not much better than the terror attacks we might expect from Gadaffi.

Yeah.... these threats are going to help him a WHOLE lot! And if even ONE is carried out, forget exile when he's caught.

“We can decide to treat you in a similar way,” he said of the Europeans. “If we decide to, we are able to move to Europe like locusts, like bees. We advise you to retreat before you are dealt a disaster.”

Bring it on, loser.

And if he did, imagine the outrage it would cause. Oh those evil Libyans have attacked us, what have we done to deserve this!!!! Lieberman2012, remember Lockerbie how many people died there? And that was the act of a small group. You say bring it on, you must be crazy to wish for that. Yes he will be crushed but how many innocent civilians will die in the mean time.

Like locusts, like bees ..... wow.

delivered the warning in a telephone message played to thousands of supporters gathered in the main square of the capital Tripoli.

I'll give him two month, maybe three tops. His problem is that the stack of cash he's sitting on is buying less and less. He can still pay his mercenaries from north-central Africa, but they won't do much good as their fuel and ammunition runs out and their vehicles are destroyed and they cannot replace them. At the same time, the rebels, benefiting from NATO training and supplies and increased coordination, are steadily gaining strength.

I agree with Spidapig24 - there's no reason to bait the man - but his bombast marks the last words of a flailing, old-time dictator. He won't be missed.

I have no idea why the NORTH ATLANTIC Treaty Organization decided to attack Libya. By all appearances, Libya is involved in a civil war. There was no indication that the civil war was going to spread beyond the borders of Libya. I have no idea why Obama decided, without discussing the issue with Congress or the American people, to attack Libya either.

Now the Libyian government (aka Khaddaffy) decides to threaten to attack the Europeans that are attacking him and people are somehow surprised?

In recent years, however, Gadhafi was believed to have severed his ties with extremist groups when he moved to reconcile with Europe and the United States.

Al-Qaida and other jihadi groups have opposed Gadhafi since he cracked down in the late 1990s on the Islamist Libyan Islamic Fighting Group which sought to replace his regime with an Islamic state.

Is NATO and Obama supporting Al-Qaida and other jihad groups?

It's strange that there is no rush to bomb Assad as he continues murdering Syrians at leisure, yet in the case of Libya other countries are chafing at the bit to take sides and do some bombing.

The only difference between the two is the oil; therefore I agree with Gadhafi that this is all about control of oil resources.

If some european families will get killed, it won't be strange. When you kill inoccent people, you must pay for that.
