If (more likely when) Masto eeks out a narrow victory and a GQP Senate majority becomes a mathematical impossibility, look for the Republicans to quiet quit Walker like he is one of his own (several) children.
"Hershal? Oh, I've heard of that guy. But I don't know him. Trump picked him."
And all the GA GQP voters who were prepared to hold their noses and got for the hypocrisy abortion demander? They will blow their noses and walk away from the fake cop who is also a functional illiterate.
She the plaintive wail of Ms. Lindsey crying about how unfair this (being held accountable for ones actions) is to black conservatives!

**And** then… (because of course) :
“ All it took was for Democrat Mark Kelly to win Arizona’s Senate race Friday for Donald Trump to demand a new election because of his unfounded claims of “tainted” votes.
“Idiot, and possibly corrupt, officials have lost control of the tainted Election in Arizona,” the former president wrote on his Truth Social platform after Kelly was declared the winner in a tight midterm race against against controversial MAGA candidate Blake Masters.
“A NEW ELECTION MUST BE CALLED FOR IMMEDIATELY!” Trump demanded.
He also baselessly insisted that “large numbers” of voting machines weren’t working in Arizona’s Maricopa County — “but only in Republican districts.” This is a “scam and voter fraud,” he stated with no evidence, calling it “no different than stuffing the ballot boxes.”
He further suggested that “they’re finding all sorts of Ballots in Clark County, Nevada. They are pulling out all stops to steal the Election from Adam Laxalt,” the Republican Senate candidate whose midterm contest has yet to be called. The post did not provide additional clarification on what Trump meant specifically. “
..
I used to look at this nonsense and just think of it as entertainment; now it’s just annoying. Trump’s gone; no, seriously, nobody gives a dmn about him anymore (not even his announcement on Tuesday will make the headlines).

Trump still has MTG. Maybe Trump can use her as running mate. And Trump won't allow Desantis to run for president because Trump won't allow it.

The "this is your brain on drugs" campaign should have a picture of Cheeto-Jesus and this quote.
It would likely lead to a qualitative reduction in experimental use by youth for fear that they would turn into an unhinged lunatic like Don.

The plan for when they take back control of the House is truly a Contract on America, to echo the Tea Party plans that gave birth to MAGA.
Deny climate change and ride the fossil fuel gravy train until the end.
And enshrine some of the most regressive tax cuts for the rich that were ever created.
https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/fundamentally-flawed-2017-tax-law-largely-leaves-low-and-moderate-income
The Republicans as usual have no plan to benefit the American people beyond the usual socialism for the rich.

That the GOP is betting its hopes on Herschel Walker shows how bankrupt they are as a political party.

No, it was Obama’s out of control and frivolous non-stop spending on flawed pet projects funded by taxpayers that never materialized.
Ok, so we should tell in the US alone 250 million people to just toss their cars away?
I see, so screw the rest of the country, more layoffs, more despair, less growth, less opportunities for upward advancement, pay and job raises, yeah, who needs job creators, bunch of rich snobs.
Then why did they get the house?

Who knows what Gabbard's beliefs might actually be, and how they'll change between now and the convention, and which country she'll claim she's a 'patriot' of. Still the global alt right and others in the petrochemical establishment might push Trump/Herschel Walker, maybe MTG or Lauren Boebert; their establishment idol and one of his Q - Z sorts for Veep.

Dems will get the Senate thanks to the tireless interference of the Big Loser, but Biden and his party will have their work cut out to roll back all the Republican gerrymandering, undo their malicious voter suppression laws and curb the excesses of Scotus before the window closes in 2024.

Because they didn't yet. They probably will eek out the tiniest of majorities from which they will generate zero governance owing to the fact that the caucus has become a cult of morons, lunatics or both (see Greene, MT).
But as of this writing, they have no majority in the House.
Instead of your simplistic "give a mouse a cookie" rhetorical question, the question you really REALLY should be asking yourself is "How in the hell during the worst inflation in 40 years (this is regrettably true) in an off-year election that historically favors the opposition party, with a President @ 45% approval, did we shart ourselves?"
Because that is exactly what happened. The GQP could have picked up 40+ seats. They look to pick up 10 or less. The average is +4 in the Senate. You guys are on track to go -1 ("2-abortions Walker" is going to lose most likely.) THE GQP loses govenorships.
What happened? Religious Zealots, morons, big lie conspiracy theories and insurrectionists happened. Americans decided enough of the BS. "Not these nihilistic idiots."
And what do they ALL have in common? Cheeto-Jesus Trump.
Seems even the sycophants get this simp!e concept and are ready (finally) to do what they should have done in February19 and thrown him overboard tied to a battleship anchor over the Marianna Trench.

The best part of the last several days has been watching the Fox News hosts who all promised a "Red Wave", "Red Tsunami", and Red Hurricane", all now look "Red-Faced"....
Jesse Watters before Nov 9th: "If there's not a red wave, I will dance. How about that?”
Jesse Watters after Nov 9th: “There’s just not the hatred for Joe Biden that there is for Barack Obama and for the Clintons."
We've yet to see Jesse's self-own dance...
Marc Theissen before Nov 8th: “Will it be a red wave or tsunami? I think a hurricane. They were just in the eye of the storm. Now the storm is hitting again. so it will be a red hurricane.”
Marc Theissen after Nov 9th: The midterm results are “a searing indictment of the Republican Party ... The Republican Party needs to do a really deep introspection look in the mirror right now because this is an absolute disaster."
"Hurricane" and "disaster", I guess they're somewhat equivalent...
But this highlights the main problem of the far-right media - they don't provide news, they give entertainment - and tell the MAGA-masses what they want to hear versus the facts and truth. They did it in 2020 when they over-promised about a Trump landslide and again in 2022 with a "red tsunami".....and when those don't happen, the MAGA-masses turn even more angry, outraged, and violent...
But it's so satisfying watching all of them eat their own words....and we might have seen the beginning of the "Trump dump" on Fox last night - the same as we've seen with Murdoch's WSJ and NY Post... Laura Ingraham said last night; “The populist movement is about ideas,” Ms. Ingraham said. “It is not about any one person. If the voters conclude that you’re putting your own ego or your own grudges ahead of what’s good for the country, they’re going to look elsewhere, period.”
Sound like someone we know?

Like what Obamacare? Obamacare government healthcare works well in Japan even for Trump people. Same with net neutrality and public transportation. You can't have a semi auto AR 57 in Japan but Trump people remain here with no guns.
Trump just ran the Trump business from the WH and it was for himself. If Pete is in the WH he will do it for the nation. But when Trump was in the WH it was just for Trump and only Trump. Even the Murdocks hate Trump now. Even Nixon cared about the country. But Trump only cares about Trump.
What happened to Hershel and Lake. MTG is still in the game and maybe she can run with Trump. When Trump runs who will be his staff? How about Stewart Rhodes since he went to Yale law school or Ben Carson because he can operate on brains which automatically makes him better than other people. Why does Hershel always flash his police badge? Is that some OCD thing?

This is, without a doubt, one of the most ludicrous comments ever.
Obama was 10 x the man and president than Bush, Trump and Biden combined. The man could even complete a sentence, which we haven’t seen in 6 years.

Well, as they say, early and mail-in voting benefits Democrats, tell you what, if mail-in voting would help Republicans across the political board, you think Dems would still be ok with it? Yes or No?
Hmmm, when you shut people out, deny them the right to speak or debate or challenge any position, you will see an increase in conspiracy theories and why would you not? That’s the only recourse you have. Certainly no one trusts this administration when they say something.

I was a libertarian for decades, before moving to Georgia, but ended up voting Republican over their smaller govt fiscal stance.
As a Libertarian, I was in favor of unlimited free speech too, even lies, provided it isn't slander. The ExPrez slandered at least thousands (if not tens of thousands) of people and only got away with it because he has lawyers using delay tactics which make suing to a victorious judgement difficult for anyone who isn't super rich. The man is a liar, through and through. Worse, active GOP members know this. They've forgotten their Bible.
I fear Libertarians in Georgia will be more about the economy than they are keeping liars out of office. 50% of the state is struggling. We have the highest number of respiratory disease issues now than ever before, because the state Republican leaders are ignoring health completely. At least this fall, we didn't have the normal allergy/pollen issues which makes about 30% of us have to get allergy shots along with taking anti-histamine drugs.
If it isn't clear, the ex-Loser-in-Chief changed me. No liars should be in office. That's my main issue for every election. Never vote for a blatant liar. Sadly, my state has a huge number of GOP liars with just a few great GOP people remaining, but those people are looking to retire to get away.

What are you talking about? The noisiest voices in America are on the right. Most of the political "discourse" (if we can call it such) is decided by the right wing weirdos in the GOP and their charlatan opportunist lil' friends on Fox and other media. Democrats and those who don't agree with the GOP's extremist positions have to spend valuable time refuting this nonsense.
Just like I'm doing now.

OK then, don't ditch this clown. And see what happens. It already is.

The red wave fizzled out when normal people understood that there was an insane Trump-inspired faction trying to destroy democracy. I think it's official that Trumpism is dead and we should enjoy jumping on its grave.
But DeSantis is equally prepared to corrupt democracy and he looks like a strong candidate.

The REPUB Trump pile-on continues....
Conservative icon Karl Rove: "The red wave never came. What happened in Tuesday’s midterms was closer to a trickle. Why wasn’t the outcome better? The answer is candidate quality. The GOP fielded too many novices who struggled with crafting a message, raising funds and waging effective campaigns. Some were also knuckleheads with strange beliefs and closets full of problems. Many of these remarkably weak candidates came courtesy of Donald Trump.
Conservative icon Ann Coulter: “To Trump: You had your chance, with a Republican House and Senate. You handed domestic policy to your son-in-law and Gary Cohn. You handed foreign policy to your son-in-law and a country that gave your son-in-law $2 billion. Shut the %^&* up, forever,”
Former Repub Gov Chris Christie: “Almost every one of these Trump-endorsed candidates that you see in competitive states has lost,” It’s a huge loss for Trump. And, again, it shows that his political instincts are not about the party, they’re not about the country — they’re about him.”
Repub David Urban, a longtime Trump adviser: “Republicans have followed Donald Trump off the side off a cliff,”
Former Repub Representative Peter King who has long supported Mr. Trump: “I strongly believe he should no longer be the face of the Republican Party,” adding that the party “can’t become a personality cult.”
Repub VA Lt Gov: "A true leader understands that it's time to step off the stage. And the voters have given us that very clear message," Lt. Gov. Sears said on "Cavuto: Coast to Coast" Thursday. "I could not support him. We have a clear mission and it is time to move on."
And the question we're all wondering - what does Melania have to say after she was blamed by her husband...

Nothing better sums up the contradictions and hypocrisy of the pro-Trump far-right...
Here they are applauding Kemp's win over Abrams...when for the past two years they have been parroting Trump's contempt, disdain and hate for this "RINO" who failed to support his attempted 2020 coup...and ranting he should be defeated and thrown out of the party...
So before Nov 9th he was "scum" and a "traitor" they wanted defeated as a hated RINO but in one day they flipped and are now cheering his re-election...
And it's that way up and down the ballot - MAGA-candidates losing and RINO candidates winning...and our pro-Trump friends cheering - for those they hated just a day before...
Welcome to up is down, down is up world of MAGA...

The House results seem like they will be the most shocking. Despite the benefit of redistricting that heavily favored them, a Democrat president with very low approval, economic problems galore, etc, its not even clear if they will get a majority yet. And even if they do, it looks like it will be by 1 or 2 seats at most now.
People have been saying this was so bad for them the Red tsunami turned into a Red ripple, but its almost moved beyond that into a Blue ripple.
nishikat
She is not under investigation for any crimes, and she did not send her soldiers to invade government facilities like Trump did with the Trump Keepers. She did not make phone calls in Georgia to "find more votes" like Trump did and is a crime. Abrams is not under criminal investigation in George, but Trump is for trying to steal the election there. She is using free speech as she likes and is just a talker without committing any crimes from her actions unlike Trump. Trump broke the law and so did TrumpKeepers. It's an important difference.
It's the Trump party fault. Trump caused this loss because of their obsessions with fetuses especially. Did you see all the anti abortion ads by the Trump party? Instead of pushing for traditional Republcan values they pushed to just save babies and restrict women's rights. This is all on Trump. For 2020 I actually wanted to vote Republican but not Trump. I am a never Trumper, but I often vote Republican, depending on the quality of the person. But Trump is garbage.

The midterms have become a nightmare for the GOP. They've managed to kick off the long predicted civil war between the militant Trump cultist base that they can't afford to ignore and the rest of the party which realizes he's dead in the water and are now jumping ship. Added to that, Murdoch is shifting his focus towards De Santis and none of them have a clue how to deal with an overwhelming rejection of their culture politics by young voters beyond suggesting that the voting age be raised. Grab the popcorn, folks...
Bob Fosse
The constitution gives the right to vote to 18 year olds. Some republicans are now calling to raise that age because they know young people tend to vote Democrat. Change the constitution? Say it ain’t so!
How do you feel about that?

Trump wants to be president NOT for USA. He wants to be president for Trump. For example, he wants to avoid his legal problems and the best way for him is to become president.
That's right! It's about Trump and only Trump. That is why Desantis cannot be president. Only Trump can run for the Trump party. Trump has proven to be such garbage for the Repubican party the Merdocks are turning against him. If anyone watches TV you will notice all those Trump anti-women political ads instead of what the Republican party pushes for. The Republican party is all about Trump.
Trump said to inject Mr. Clean to cure COVID. Biden is bringing back good policy like net neutrality and ObamaCare (both work well in Japan)
Yes, it's a real thing. Proof: Steward Rhodes is under arrest and so are many other trumpKeepers. It's a real thing. Trump is under criminal investigation. But Hillary and Abrams are not. This is a Trump problem.

19 times Trump proved he hasn't got a clue about the most basic world geography.
Before he was president, back in June 2016, Trump said during a rally in Atlanta, Georgia that the country of Belgium is "a beautiful city."
Once again, before he was the president, Trump was claiming that Paris, the capital city of France, wasn't in France at all but was a city in Germany when complaining about a shooting in a Paris police station.
Back in August 2018 Trump reportedly referred to Namibia as 'Nambia' which definitely isn't right.
To make matters worse, in a 2017 meeting with India's prime minister, he referred to Nepal as 'nipple' and Bhutan as 'button.'

Well, Schumer is bat bleep crazy, he knows that Biden's agenda is done if they can't get any money, no what sucks for the Dems and for Biden, but maybe if you help finish that wall, we can make a deal as Kevin hits his shiny gavel.

Trump did this. The Dems won. But more importantly. Trump lost. If Trump hadn't had such a big mouth the Trump people would be in power now with Hershel and Oz and Lake. This is all on Trump and Rick Scott confirmed this. That's the translation. Again, Rick Scott said this was a big blow for the Trump party. It's Trump's fault.

Leading up to these elections I was reading things from the right about what would create the red tsunami - an unpopular president, inflation, petrol prices, illegals pouring into the country, wokeism and out-of-control identity politics etc. They were open to potentially fatal blows from many directions.
What the hell happened?
