It'll be interesting to see if Bernie gets cheated out of the nomination a second time.

Knock wood the democratic principles the Democratic Party is supposed to be based on prevail and the individual receiving the most votes wins.

Heh, the fix is already in. Adam Schiff accidentally told some truth during the "impeachment trial" when he said on the Senate floor about how voters can't be trusted at the ballot box.

The democrat party elites using their Super Delagates will decide who will go up against Trump in November. Spoiler Alert: It won't be Bernie.

@texaggieSpoiler Alert: It won't be Bernie.

Someone doesn't understand US elections. Revise US history: look back at the elections of Truman, Reagan, Obama and Trump.

COVID-19 is a black swan. No one predicted it. No one knows what effects it will have. Lots of time between now and November.

How will Americans react knowing Trump/GOP axed funding for the CDC and other health related agencies?

How will they react if their healthcare isn't sufficient to cover health related issues?

Will voters still think spending trillions on defense fighting overseas invasions is more important than healthcare?

The Republican Party elite cancelled primaries in a few states to ensure Donny had no challengers.

Dont you agree that immigrants should stay out of American politics and go back to their countries of origin to make them a better place instead of leaching off the US?

There are no challengers so it isn’t necessary to hold a primary in some states.waste of time and money.

It’s not too late to pivot to Tulsi. She makes sense sometimes and more than most Dems.

Tulsi Gabbard: Presidential candidates must also condemn election interference by US intelligence agencies

Good idea! Tulsi would make a great Repub nominee since we all know Donnie is toast...and Pence has just been thrown under the bus.

Put her on the ticket with Nikki Haley and you guys have a winner...

Better get her on the phone...the market had its biggest plunge ever today - its going down, just like Trump...

@blacklabTulsi Gabbard: Presidential candidates must also condemn election interference by US intelligence agencies

I agree with her. Trump's deep state is firmly entrenched now; keep them out of the election. Along with 'foreign' meddlers. I also agree with her stance on global climate change and the need to reduce the amounts of oil and gas burned. But given her history of flip-flopping, just wish I could trust her more. Her connection to ultranationalistic, authoritarian Modi also worries.

I do agree with this. What do the challengers have to offer? "Like Trump but not as much"? Not a great pitch. The GOP are incapable of mounting a meaningful challenge against Trump, and their natural tendencies lie with worship of hard-right authoritarians, so it would be a waste of time and money for them.

I pray that Bernie wins and let Trump strike this socialist from the map. Please, please, please win Bernie.

As in 2016, Bernie won't be the dem candidate. Like the good capitalist that he is, he will hold out for the DNC's best cash offer to go away before dropping out of the race.

Black said the same thing, but now Bernie has a solid lead. But don't let that stop you from retreading 2016 all over again.

@PTownsend - Well, I agree with almost nothing you say, but this makes sense. Nobody can predict election results at this point. Bernie looks unelectable, but so did Trump. Trump looks like a shoe-in, but who knows what can happen between now and November? People who are frightened are easily manipulated.

I'm sanguine either way, as I don't think it matters much who is president - though it would be nice to have one who could keep the US out of pointless wars.

Bernie praised their literacy program,

And so they used their increased literacy and fled to the States, no wonder most Cubans love our country and want nothing to do with the current political communists occupying that island.

he criticized the regime's treatment of its people...

Then the fool shouldn’t have mentioned Cuba in the first place, there are thousand of other countries that excel in this area, they don’t have to be communist nations.

Trump's farm subsidies are clearly socialist - use taxpayer money to prop up industries.

Temporary, not from cradle to grave and not permanent and not to shower the entire nation.

Kim Jong Un and his father/grandfather killed and imprisoned more people than Castro - yet Trump hugs him and sends him love letters...

Yes, we shouldn’t get along with a nuclear nation, Especially when they confront our allies where we have a lot of our military stationed in their countries, typical liberal talking points.

Trump's economy isn't doing well

It’s doing very well. Dems keep pounding it and every economist, the very people that do this for a living know this, but now Democrats are experts in economics.

bass: not from cradle to grave

That would be someone given $400 million from Daddy then socializing his losses through bankruptcy laws while keeping his wins.

Just like you and me.

@mrnoidallHe wants us to believe in socialism while at the same time he's a millionaire with 3 houses

Are you saying Sanders believes in a mix of socialism and capitalism? If so, that's what the US economy is, a mixed economy with elements of both socialism and capitalism. As is just about every major economy in the world.

The United States has a mixed economy. It works according to an economic system that features characteristics of both capitalism and socialism.

Socialism kills creativity, innovation, technological advances and more.

Agreed. It's good that no candidate is promoting that.

What Bernie is talking about is gross inequality between the working class and CEOs. Do you agree that it's a problem? Trick question.

LOL. The voters can see the elected Democrats actively "resisting" the efforts of those who are actually trying to deal with the virus, and it's victims. The voters can see that the Democrats have placed party power, and the next election, ahead of trying to prevent a possible pandemic, while there is still time. It appears that the Democrats have finally found an anti-U.S. economic issue that they can rally around.

As far as Democrats focusing on Super Tuesday, of course they are. That's when the big numbers of Democrat delegates begins to roll in. The wiener of the Democrat convention will need 1991+ delegates, which will include those famous Democrat Super Delegates we've heard so much about.

Nah, you just have socialized healthcare based on your own statements about getting healthcare through military bases for free.

Super, you do realize that was just a weird made up argument to avoid admitting he pays into and uses Japan’s socialized healthcare, correct? There are no US military bases in Fukuoka at which to get that beautifully socialized military healthcare.
