Lmao! Not every conservative is comfortable with this blatant power grab by Dimwit Donny.

Of course, we'll hear shortly how these senators are RINOs or swamp creatures. Blah, blah, blah. And repeat.

A majority in both chambers of Congress, which represent the people of the United States, will vote against Trump's trumped-up emergency declaration which, if it stands, would unconstitutionally strip powers from the Congress.

Pay attention, Supreme Court.

The only national emergency we have is that there is a Russian asset in the White House - and the only saving grace is he's a Russian asset with "the understanding of a fith or sixth grader"....

Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised to see enough Republicans come on board to force this to Trump to veto. What will be interesting is after the fact both chambers are able to muster the required 2/3. It's doubtful, but the possibility does exist that once the Republicans have crossed that threshold of rebuking Trump by passing this bill, it may become easier for them to do it again in larger numbers.

Nope. Just a couple of reliable Trump opposers and 2 Separation of powers type guys. Here comes veto assuming 1-2 Dems in Trump states don’t vote for it

There are now enough votes to block the National Emergency. Of course Trump will veto it and send it to SCOTUS. I have a feeling they will block him too, considering the majority of senate has. Too bad for you, blacklabel

I'm glad to see Rand Paul has flipped over. He was my favorite of the 2016 line up. The Republican party needs more like him who place country over party.

Why should the minority get funding?

Because they really, really want it. Like, a lot.

Why should the minority get funding?

Exactly, and SCOTUS will most definitely understand this. They also don't want to see House and Congress disappear through the actions of Trump. No emergency, no funding.

Trump has warned Senate Republicans not to vote for the resolution, saying that doing so would put them in "great jeopardy" politically with voters.

Republicans who will vote for this resolution know that a future Democratic president could use the national emergency trick in the same way. These particular Senators are concerned about this possibility. Trump is not in any way concerned about the future of his party, government, or country. His sole interest is himself.

Right. Individually they are pretty cowardly. But if they feel they have a critical mass, a herd to hide in they’ll pivot. Every single Trump loss nudges in that direction.
