If there is one thing to take away from this lawsuit, it’s that BOTH Amber and Johnny were abusive pricks. Johnny was not some blameless angel. Remember, the jury for them BOTH guilty of defamation.

Ultimately, regardless of the fact that the abuse was mutual, Amber has done untold damage to the fight against domestic violence. Not because she wasn’t abused, but because from now on, every time a woman comes forward to say she’s been abused, that same group of MRA yahoos are gonna show up and use this as a cudgel; they’ll say “well Amber Heard abused Johnny, so we can’t trust anything a woman says anymore.” Amber Heard has done to domestic violence victims what the Duke lacrosse case did to rape victims and what Jussie Smollett has done to LGBTQ the crimes victims: given internet numbskulls an excuse to assume every accusation is a lie.

Personally, if I never saw either of them on screen again, I’d be fine. Johnny has a long history of being an abusive a*shole to set crews anyway.

*LGBTQ hate crimes victims

The call came Thursday, only a day after the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard verdict, to a free legal clinic for domestic violence victims in Athens, Georgia. The woman wanted to pursue her abuse claims, but she was worried.

“The fear was that she’d be seen to be a liar like Amber Heard,”

The Depp-Heard verdict was in civil court for a civil matter.

Anyone wanting to pursue abuse claims through legal clinics as mentioned would be making allegations on criminal matters; the "verdict" would bear no legal weight or relevance.

Ridiculous scandalous drama queens everyone involved.

What? Now men can be heard and taken seriously and actually tell the truth, oh, the thought of it.

The most damaging aspect of this mindless drama, to which I have paid only 'headline' attention, may be the activists crying that yet another man escapes his due punishment ignoring the FACT that women can be monsters too. And if the testified diagnosis of this woman as "Borderline Personality Disorder" is correct and what we know of this condition, feminists should distance themselves as far from her as they can get because she will be the WORST possible poster girl for their cause.

Didn't watch any of this but maybe Katz can tell divorced husbands that didn't get custody or were stuck with absurd payments to their ex-wife all about how unjust only women have it. Maybe she reads the Bronte sisters too much and her world is full of helpless innocent women only.

“The fear was that she’d be seen to be a liar like Amber Heard,”

The difference is that Heard is a liar. If you're really being abused, then go press charges.

The court performed its duty fairly and admirably, so don’t be upset with the trial itself.

There is no issue for people who are telling the truth.

every time a woman comes forward to say she’s been abused, that same group of MRA yahoos are gonna show up and use this as a cudgel; they’ll say “well Amber Heard abused Johnny, so we can’t trust anything a woman says anymore.” Amber Heard has done to domestic violence victims what the Duke lacrosse case did to rape victims and what Jussie Smollett has done to LGBTQ the crimes victims: given internet numbskulls an excuse to assume every accusation is a lie.

The saddest part of the MeToo movement is that there are always gong to be those 'bandwagoners' and preyenders. But you have to look at the past of the accused as well. Amber has a record of personality crises and a criminal record. Her Hollywood record was already trashed before 2018 and she's a known drama queen. Johnny has no record of being a woman abuser. On top of that, 'settling' disputes like defecating on a bed is grossly immature and uncouth to say the least.

Yet the multiple allegations against Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, R Kelly, Donald Trump are no smear campaigns. it all adds up over time. OTOH, one woman in Ottawa claimed that Simon Le Bon assaulted her in public at a Duran Duran CD signing party in 1995. And two aspiring actresses claimed that the late George Bush was a butt-slapper. Him being a POTUS, we would've known that if it were true. Same for Simon Le Bon. I didn't believe Amber's word for a minute, it doesn't add up.

“The fear was that she’d be seen to be a liar like Amber Heard,”

Then don't lie.

Is it over? Santa’s Little Helper in that pic wishes he/she/they/it were elsewhere.

Or at least, “What’s for supper?”

The difference is that Heard is a liar. If you're really being abused, then go press charges.

Then don't lie.

She did and she didn’t. Because shock of all shocks, you can do both.

Did she lie about not hitting Johnny? Yes

Did she lie about Johnny hitting her? No

Remember, this wasn’t the only case. There was also the case in the UK where Johnny sued over the Sun article calling him a “wife beater”, and the judge found that it’s not libel because yes, Johnny was a wife beater.

“Judge Mr. Justice Nicol said the Sun had proved what was in the article to be "substantially true".

He found 12 of the 14 alleged incidents of domestic violence had occurred.”

This is a case of two abusers abusing each other, then lying about abusing each other, then getting convicted of defamation for lying about abusing each other. There quite literally were no innocent parties. They honestly should be paying me millions of dollars for having to listen to the “Amber Heard Did Nothing Wrong” and “#Justice4Johnny” crowds whinging at each other nonstop for a month.
