Poor Ron. His campaign is in shambles before it even got started.

Poor Ron. His campaign is in shambles before it even got started.

It’s started, the Dems are now on the peak of panic, let the attacks on DeSantis begin! Lol

let the attacks on DeSantis begin!

Trump's on it.

Trump's on it.

That’s a given, both are in competition for the highest office, get it, but other than that, the guy is in good standing. May the best man win.

At a time of unnecessarily strained relations between Jerusalem and Washington

Read: “DeSantis supports Netanyahu’s anti-democratic power play and is sure his visit to Jerusalem will make liberal (i.e. anti-authoritarian) heads explode, thereby eliciting gleeful cheers from the MAGA crowd.”

Trump leads on that.

Both are behaving like fascists introducing laws to control people.

As long as Trump buries DeSantis, then that leaves Biden to bury Trump. It happened before, it will happen again.

That's pretty much the only thing I like about Trump.

What??

Hmmm, you don't pay close enough attention to current US politics.

As long as Trump buries DeSantis, then that leaves Biden to bury Trump.

With 38% approval by Democrats and sinking an even larger number of 68% of Americans, I think Biden has to worry about being beaten.

It happened before, it will happen again.

Pelosi said something like that, where is she by the way?

That's pretty much the only thing I like about Trump.

I like that he's a strong leader and the fact that our adversaries are afraid and think this guy is crazy is the perfect deterrent. Unlike this current President where everyone just pushes him aside.

Leader? He just whines about being a victim. Apparently America has been destroyed and 45 plans to fix it by constant whinging about what a loser he is.

What??

You mean you don't get it, or you don't agree?

I'd like to know what you think about Netanyahu's plan to allow the legislature to override decisions by the Supreme Court. That would essentially eliminate the judicial branch's check on the Prime Minister and the Knesset.

This is such an outrageous move by Bibi, I think it's highly inappropriate for any US politician to visit Israel at the moment. So why is DeSantis going? It's a signal that he agrees with Netanyahu, and it's a signal to the MAGA people that DeSantis is just fine with authoritarian rule.

Israeli media have reported that the U.S. was withholding an invitation of a formal White House visit as a sign of displeasure with Netanyahu and his new far-right government.

That's real leadership. Good on Biden, but probably not for long.

Both.

I don't agree with it at all. Why would I? I believe in the rule of law.

This is such an outrageous move by Bibi, I think it's highly inappropriate for any US politician to visit Israel at the moment.

I wish our leaders would feel the same about Mexico, Ukraine, China, and Venezuela.

So why is DeSantis going?

Because he can?

It's a signal that he agrees with Netanyahu, and it's a signal to the MAGA people that DeSantis is just fine with authoritarian rule.

Well, that's the left's collective monolithic thinking, most conservatives have independent thoughts, if the man wants to go, "go", no sweat off my back.

That's real leadership. Good on Biden, but probably not for long.

Biden and leadership???? I must've missed something.

Brilliant.

Good. At least we're on the same page there. No one is above the law, no matter how powerful or popular they may be.

The US gives Israel $4 billion every year. Part of a long-term, yearly commitment made under the Obama administration.

This support came as part of an agreement signed by former president Barack Obama in 2016 for an overall package of $38bn (26.8bn) in military aid over the decade 2017-2028.

The Jerusalem Post and Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem say DeSantis will deliver a keynote speech at an event that will address the tensions in Israel, a key U.S. ally. The governor’s office confirmed the travel plans, noting the visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of Israel’s independence.

Wonder if he'll say that he hasn't had any Neo-Nazis and Antisemites over for dinner...

“At a time of unnecessarily strained relations between Jerusalem and Washington, Florida serves as a bridge between the American and Israeli people,” DeSantis is quoted in a press release announcing his visit.

He says that now, but like his Ukraine stumble and flip-flip, this will likely change next week...

Maybe I am missing something but it seems to say a lot about Israel that De Santis will be let talk at a Museum of Tolerance. But I guess tolerance is needed for the intolerant, to a point. Says a lot about De Santis that he will do it though. He has that old chutzpah.

Trump was the previous president. Moved the embassy to Jerusalem. Slags off Desantis. Trump and Desantis are joined at the hip.

That’s a bad thing?
