Every university in the world has rules. They have dress codes. We need to respect the culture the Taliban brings to the classroom.

This is NO different than many school rules anywhere else but may be overdone, A Hijab is very common these days and it is beautiful. The Taliban will soon realize that they can't run Afghanistan the way they did in the 90's but it will take them sometime to get to that point.

Well done to them

Is this an example of the global far right's version of woke-ism?

The least the West can do after handing the Afghan people to the Taliban on a platter is prepare a comprehensive education from basics to degree-level, with e-textbooks and recorded lectures, using male or female tutors, as the Taliban require, in the languages used in the country, and distribute it widely on memory cards. I'm not suggesting anything incendiary, but lectures in economics, maths, languages, architecture, engineering, computing, medicine and horticulture.
Having taken away the hope and the freedom of the people by running away, the West should give something back to the Afghan people. If they do ever leave, they will be qualified and able to find employment, rather than ending up in a tent city somewhere.

I bet religious studies is going to be a popular course.

Yet later in the article they actually accepted it and did it.

Biden could have changed the entire conditions as the President, he had every avenue, all the means and resources as well as the State department and Pentagon to ratify or change prior agreement, he didn’t do that, none of it. His irresponsible and rash pullout the way he executed it, and watching people holding on to the wheels of the plane and falling off will live in the minds of Americans for generations to come
Obama should have never made the trade for an American deserter by allowing Khairullah Khairkhwa a man who was considered to be even more dangerous in some respects than OBL deemed to dangerous to release and yet, he made the exchange. Obama freed the infamous and most violent and radical group ‘Gitmo five’ you can blame Bush for even starting all of this, but as the current President Biden is the only person in the end that’s responsible for this tragedy.

So Trump negotiated a disastrous, flawed, and dangerous agreement that Biden should have reneged on....
OK....
Nothing except "Whataboutism" today....let's get back to the question that wasn't answered;
Why did Trump exclude the Afghan government; our partners for 20 years and who we spent both blood and treasure supporting?
Why did Trump agree to a formal withdrawal date, telling both our partners and the Taliban that we were leaving, so all the Taliban had to do was plan their take-over and wait?
Why did Trump agree to the Taliban demand to release 5K Taliban, ISIS, and Al Qaeda prisoners in return for nothing but "promises"?
Iron Lad
Great news.

I understand your point, but it doesn’t matter what the intent was or what the strategy was. Because Trump had an outline strategy. The point was, the The current commander in chief and how this plan was or should’ve been executed and asked the president he had every opportunity to change anything that he felt what’s wrong with the previous administration and he didn’t do that.
and they also attacked Americans and as such all conditions were nullified and actions should’ve been taken and they weren’t and this president didn’t do that, Bottom line.
To a certain degree.
Obama released Khairullah Khairkhwa when are the most dangerous men alive and considered even more violent than Osama bin Laden and your marking light of it? Wow!
Probably, sadly and to a more stronger and well prepared radical Islamist group that we have to fight and that have and will use our own weapons against us, because this president did not even think about completely destroying or taking the majority of these weapons.

"Invade" is a strong word, but America will likely drone strike the daylights out of them.

Taliban are a few centuries too late. Their uncivilized take on their religion is a disgrace. They should never be recognized as a government until they can drag themselves to the current century and treat citizens as equals. They are not the only nation that needs to be ostracized by any means. Most are those run by ancient religious rules that belong in the past and in history books only.
Those books of all faiths were written by people so uninformed and ignorant they believed the world was flat. Their knowledge was lacking yet some believe they were right in all other things? Unbelievable.

This won't bode well for Taliban. Young Afghans have experienced some level of freedom. They know what it feels like to be free. If you impose restrictions like this, people will revolt. It's just a matter of time.

This is the reality of Islamic extremism, women reduced to the hijab, burka even though Quranic texts requiring such measures never proposed these extreme impetrations.
Look at the photo that is Taliban rule.

Religious studies indeed. Also some military studies.
