Not while they back them to overthrow Assad.

I sympathize with the revolt of Syrian democrats against the brutal Assad regime, but not with the Sunni extremists who have clearly taken over the rebel movement on the battlefields of Syria. But this is the consequence of America's (and Israel's) decision to overthrow Saddam Hussein. The neocons and the deplorables supported that war, along with many sell-out Democrats, and then seamlessly moved toward Trump who now says GWB was a "loser" for launching the war in the first place!
Instead of attacking Iran and Assad, America needs to take a deep look into the mirror and the lobbies that have led us into these many ME disasters in recent decades!!

What about Obama’s red line threat that Assad should leave and that ended up being a total ruse?
