Conspiracy theorists told us here on JT that he was a bogeyman and had already died many years ago.

Sometimes life is as simple as a jealous wife.

I wonder if the wife will claim the 25 million dollar reward...

Alrighty.

Well none of this could possible true, because the U.S. government would never keep unnecessary secrets from her own people just for the sake of looking like they did all the work finding bin Laden.

Also, there is no way they would violently execute a demented man, especially if they had foreknowledge that he was demented and sidelined as well. Not the boys in white hats. No.

Sarcasm off.

Conspiracy theorists told us here on JT that he was a bogeyman and had already died many years ago.

Others said he was a bogeyman not doing much more than living in a cave, and they weren't far off. He might have been living in a house, but its not like he had a vibrant social life.

In a book I read about bin Laden he seemed to have a bit of a problem juggling around his wives, and one got fed up with living his "humble" lifestyle and split. So as the old saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth ... so perhaps too many wives at one time can spoil the serene lifestyle.

And the above article said bid Laden was "slipping into dementia." Wonder if he ever had any other state of mind?

Hot Dog,

"Also, there is no way they would violently execute a demented man, especially if they had foreknowledge that he was demented and sidelined as well."

Need a hand satunching the flow from that heart?

I've seen people defend some pretty attrocious things here, but never once have I seen a Bin Laden apologist.

Respect.

So we have an article here that relies on absolutely no evidence, with the only source admitting he was probably mislead by Pakistani authorities to cover-up their incompetance/complacency in the whole bin Laden affair.....

Slow news day.

I've seen people defend some pretty attrocious things here, but never once have I seen a Bin Laden apologist.

You should learn to recognize a condemnation of one side of an issue as just that. Its not support for the other side.

You see, I actually have the balls not to choose sides between two scumbags. Many people can't stand alone like that, and must choose a side or feel like a hermit. But I am not one of those people.

In short, I never supported bin Laden. I condemned his killers and their handlers. They are not the same thing. So I hope you did not strain your arm patting yourself on the back for that silly response.

Oh no, I get where you're coming from - it a case of any chance to bash the US must be seized.

In this case the vehicle for America bashing is bin Laden, which is why I'm tipping my hat to you, especailly as the article is about as factual as the bible.

And let's face it, had they taken him alive you'd be screaming blue murder about a show trial and then mounring on the date of his drawn-out execution.

Blimey, how did the Daily Mail or the NOTW miss this scoop?

As I understood things he had a liver or kidney problem and the lack of medical attention, along with his age, probably did make him a dithering old fool. Happens to the best of us. Ronlad Reagan being a example.

Seems to me a story to fill up a page. Then again, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned etc.

Y'know, what the Pakistani is saying here, would have resulted in fatwas on his ass if it was said by other people. What he's saying is tantamount to heresy. Good thing Al-Qaeda doesn't have as much support in the Arab world as they used to. The Arab world is too busy with other affairs now.

OBL was a hero to many on the far left. I dont think they want to buy this story. I think they prefer more spectacular stuff.

Let this be a warning to those considering polygamy. I have my hands full keeping my one wife satisfied! (And I'm sure she'd say the same about me.)

Oh, and Lieb - well, never mind. It's clear nothing can be said to clear the demented fantasies that obviously haunt your thinking. Still: which party in the US more advocates a theocratic state?

Well, I said above to hot dog that his post was the first I had seen in defence of Mr bin Laden. I can only submit that the voices of all those leftists must simply be in someone's head.

from the article... "He has no evidence, but offers a tantalizing image of a frail man resigned to death and betrayed through one of his wives in an al-Qaida plot—which if true would shed new light on the demise of the world’s most-wanted man.

Well, okay. No evidence, huh... so I guess there is no credible story here?
