"Meilleur système au monde"

An utter disgrace in light of all the pallets of money the thieving government takes under the guise of socialized (read uber-capitalist) medicine....

Instead of comparing themselves to the USA or the UK, maybe they should compare themselves to Japan (which will not have any domestically developed vaccines) or China (producing one with only a 50% chance of success, if you believe even that percentage.) I would rather have a thoroughly tested French product late in the year than nothing or something with only scant efficacy.

I'm not sure there's even a French vaccine in the pipeline. Brilliant people like those who make vaccines get extremely good schooling here in France and then vote with their feet to actually earn a decent living - once again because the nanny state takes all the money in taxes.

If it had worked, they'd be heroes.

Big challenges, big risks, big reward. Simple as that.

Other attempts failed. The ones who were successful could easily have failed too. They were all using science, but that doesn't mean complete understanding.
