I always thought that little Ronnie doth complain too much when it comes to gay issues.

I'm not sure the case is as cut and dried as some assume. I am betting however that Disney and the board of the Reedy Creek Improvement District met the letter of the law for permitted meetings, publishing the agenda in the requisite number of newspapers, etc. I'm not sure the free speech argument is going to get them as far in court as arguments about following government processes and the validity of the laws passed in the final weeks of the outgoing board. I suspect they are legally air tight but it remains to be seen. About the only prediction I want to make is that if an appeals court upholds whatever verdict the trial court reaches, the US Supreme Court won't touch it, and I believe both sides would be willing to go to SCOTUS if they were willing to take the case.

Disney will probably send Mickey and Minnie to court as their lawyers. Desantis is a joke that has gone off the rails.

All of these are valid reasons.

The odds are that the actual lawyers at Disney will beat Bobble-Head Ronnie's "lawyers" like a drum in court because there, the facts and case law actually matter.

And this is such a poor look for a man trying to build a national profile: Picking on the largest employer in your state and a beloved figure (Mickey) because he is a thin-skinned bully.

I hope he gets it, just so I can see him get thoroughly trounced on the national stage. If he or 45 get the nomination, it’s a win-win for the opposition and a gift from above for fans of comedy and schadenfreude.

In the meantime it’s highly entertaining watching them attack each other.
