I wonder if the UK is still in a position to sell Australia to the Chinese, I say the Chinese because I don’t think anybody else has either the money or the naivety to buy it.

By the way the queen no longer owns all the swans, that was changed in the 1970s, anyway I think it would be a better idea to keep the swans and dump the old dear and her family.

You do know that the old dear and her family has to pay taxes! If they dump her there will be a drop in travel to England. The UK has no way of making money, no factories or anything. All the manufacturing business where sold off years ago.. London is the hub for European busineses and the world, but now that will change (maybe), the UK has to start building stuff and selling it again to progress.......

Making lawmakers work for free (or at VERY reduced salaries) sounds like a good start for me. Actually, it is probably worth implementing here in "egalitarian" Japan too, where the average salary for lawmakers is a paltry 22 million yen a year. Just a thought.

The glaring cut that needs cutting is so called defence spending or should i say offence spending.

If we could stop our addiction to guns, ammo and action through the military it would free up a lot of cash.

Also a commitment to maintain a much smaller and less aggresive force in the future to include of course the abolition of our irrelevant nuclear arsenal.

Sell the whole estate, including Buckingham Palace, to the Chinese as an attraction park, scribble in a 20% clause on all profits. UKs Deficit would be cleared in a year.

"Sell off the queen’s swans. Make lawmakers work for free. Force prison inmates to generate cheap power on the treadmill."

Three damned fine ideas in the first paragraph.

But I think people need to look seriously at how much revenue the monarchy bring in by their true role - as a tourist attraction, before suggesting getting rid of them.

Ditching the Queen does not sound so wild to me. But I don't know what she costs taxpayers.

Make lawmakers work for free? Then watch corruption go through the roof. Smarter to make them live like Spartans in good but not extravagant homes and surroundings, with set incomes, all other sources of income put on hold. Otherwise, you will guarantee only the very well off become lawmakers. It is darned important that lawmakers get an income, otherwise you may as well just install a monarchy again.

What they need to do is make sure lawmakers are actually doing something important. Half their time they waste on nothing important.

Having prison inmates work is great. But a treadmill to generate power could not be any more of a total waste of potential in its ineffeciency.

Fine, they can still be taxed, I didn’t say shoot the old dear. As for travel to the UK falling off because it no longer had a queen. Why? France has no royalty, have you seen any kings or queens in Prague? But the royal palaces still get enormous numbers of visitors. Both Madrid and Aranjuez get visitors by the thousands every day. But not Buckingham palace or Windsor. Maybe kicking the old lady out so that tourist can visit makes better sense.

As for this silly idea of getting the Brits back to manufacturing, no chance, their benefit system makes working for a living counter productive.

The Queen is the biggest source of income for England and UK. USA, Australia, New Zealand and Canada are not independent, sovereign countries. They are owned and run by the House of Windsor within the City of London Corporation with the head Queen Elizabeth II of England. The Queen owns among other things the Federal Reserves. This is a private company which has a monopoly printing US Dollars which then lends it to the US government with interest. For each $ bill Americans use in USA, they need to pay back that $ Bill with interest to the Queeen. The 4th of July is the biggest joke if there ever was one. Americans think they are free, rather they are still enslaved by the Queen. Why would English people want to get rid off the Queen and the largest milking cow while keeping Americans enslaved while framing it so that naive Americans think they are independent.

Great! So I was right then, Australia could be sold to China by the “queen”.
