What? I thought 'only' Japan was the only country in the world where its citizens conveniently ignored stay at home orders and guidelines.

Silly me.

But never worry, Trump is here to save the day.

Trump weighed in again.

Mixing messages again for his followers. Especially those who actually still believe him when he talks about the many fields he's expert in. Those able to reason for themselves long ago gave up and tuned him knowing whatever he was saying could either be a lie or could be flip-flopped the next hour. Unfortunate that the US is lead by such an inarticulate male with such an extensive history of 'misinforming'. Intentional or not.

Heh, the stable genius knows better than those deep state doctor folk. This virus was afterall invented by the Democrats.

Good god the man is moron. I really feel for those Americans that actually do have a brain living this abject nightmare inflicted upon them by the inept Trump administration.

Watching Trump get raked over the coals for screwing this up so badly over the next few weeks and months isn't sadly going to bring back all those dead Americans.

"We've done, I think on average, really phenomenally as a country."

Of COURSE you have! That's why you're leading the world... just not in the way you claim to be, but in infection and death. Well done, Trump! And according to him, well done, USA!

Birx responded that it was true that some states were flat

So the article itself admits that Trumps remark was correct. But of course, the mainstream media and their consumer bash him again. Reality does not matter if the tunnel vision is strong enough.

Seriously, you are quoting the Huffpost? What would you say if people here start quoting Infowars?

I’d say stop acting like the president of the United States.

I’d say stop acting like the president of the United States.

It's sad that telling someone to stop acting presidential means to shape up and be a proper member of society.

Donny just can’t keep his mouth shut. Even now he is contradicting the experts. What a moron.

Pelosi is nothing like Donny regarding what comes out of her mouth. For Donny, it’s all lies or inaccuracies. Comparing the two is the height of intellectual dishonesty.

Look how else Donny contributes to this virus:

*Two months before the novel coronavirus is thought to have begun its deadly advance in Wuhan, China, the Trump administration ended a $200-million pandemic early-warning program aimed at training scientists in China and other countries to detect and respond to such a threat.*

The project, launched by the U.S. Agency for International Development in 2009, identified 1,200 different viruses that had the potential to erupt into pandemics, including more than 160 novel coronaviruses.

He wants to be next to people with actual credibility, high status and self-made success.

Another example of his incompetence two months before the COVID-19 outbreak in China:

So the article itself admits that Trumps remark was correct.

A small part of Donny’s remark was correct, but if you had read the entire article , you’d have seen most of his remark was contradicting the expert.

Well, I guess Doctor Trump knows best.

He made the astonishing claim: “I will always protect your Social Security, your Medicare and your Medicaid” – despite having supported cuts in the past

But does anyone believe him?

Trump just keep lighting 'em up with his gas. When will the penny drop for those Americans "tired of winning" ?

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Trump has faced criticism for playing down the outbreak in its initial stages. He said early on that the virus was under control and repeatedly compared it to the seasonal flu.

Americans would've taken this more seriously from the start, if they weren't fed with a false sense of security and no danger (unfortunately, a lot of people bought it)

The US lost precious time which they could had used for spread prevention and to prepare early. The US had 2 months after China!

And now, a lot of people are sick or even dying. And even those who are still healthy are losing their jobs. Ironically, if they're only relying on private business-based health insurance, when they lost their jobs, they also lost their health insurance - at a time when they actually need health care. There's gonna be a lot of uninsured Americans!
