"I can imagine him hearing about the corruption in Washington and thinking it's something he'd dearly love to be a part of." - comments

Trump has been dipping his beak into the Public Trust for decades. The Presidency, for Trump, is a last gasp attempt at a lunge for the US Treasury. Trump has demanded the erection of a "Great Wall" as a tribute to his originality.

(The Chinese have something very similar, and instructive historically.)

As Trump himself bleats at his rallies:

“The line of ‘Make America great again,’ the phrase, that was mine, I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody’s using it, they are all loving it. I don’t know I guess I should copyright it, maybe I have copyrighted it.”

fact check — Trump, claiming that he was the first person to coin the phrase in March 2015. Ronald Reagan used the slogan over 35 years ago during his campaign.

Getting media attention for free is another Trump cheap trick. Say some outrageous bigoted insult and his fans cheer. Obviously Trump is getting the fan base he has romanced on cheap prejudice and fear.

What's also funny is that I know at least three avowed Democrats that support Trump over either Hillary or Sanders.

I'm just not sure Trump genuinely understands the depths of the corruption in Washington and the toughness required to take it on and drop it a notch or two.

I can imagine him hearing about the corruption in Washington and thinking it's something he'd dearly love to be a part of.

There is no real issue with his campaign strategy or ability to get an audience, I'm just not sure Trump genuinely understands the depths of the corruption in Washington and the toughness required to take it on and drop it a notch or two.

“Look at these people. Boy, what a bunch of losers,” he said. “You are a loser, you really are a loser ... Get ‘em out.” - Donald J. Trump.

What a loser.

I'm going to guess that, based on this article and comments from this board that Jill Colvin is the love child of Madverts and KC Japan.

"Trump. The former reality television star and tabloid king, who has relied on free news coverage and social media to power his presidential campaign, is uniquely obsessed with how the news media portray his events."

I would say the news media are the ones who are uniquely obsessed with Trump and his campaign.

"Better Sanders than Hillary"

OMG...

Only within the Republicans.

As well as the masses. Slowly, but surely.

Nothing wrong with Mexican drivers in LA. As long as they are "legal" to be in the US in the 1st place.

Sorry, but progressives feel that it's perfectly ok for illegals to drive and worked with a valid drivers license.

As long as they have their legal documents in order too: Valid Drivers License, Automobile Insurance and properly registered vehicle.

Hogwash, according to liberals, they don't need that, leave them alone and let them roam free, we are a free society, why even have borders, other countries do, but we should take care of everyone, even if it financially destroys us.

Better Sanders than Hillary, but better Hillary than Trump.

Well, then we are all doomed!

He's got the horrible racists and bigots behind him,

What's the difference between a horrible bigot and racist that support Trump or a progressive, racist, socialist that support Hillary?

out in public saying things they only dared think in private until Trump charged from the Asylum.

So now you guys want to silence free speech?

From here on out it will be an internal fight as the establishment GOP try to contain the monster they created with the dollars of Bush as DJ Trump rips the Asylum in two.

Sorry, but NBC created Trump with his TV show "the Apprentice" he was on there for years, before he was on that show, few people knew who Trump was and now, in part, thanks to NBC, Trump became a household name.

WC,

Valid Drivers License, Automobile Insurance and properly registered vehicle.

Are you going to deport all the Americans in similar situations?

This is the problem your twisted ideology has WC. It's like the Nazi's, whe the nuts are in power, you always have to ask "who's next?".

Don't forget when Mr Trump is relegated to the political toilet over the coming months, you guys have all supported all those racist, bigoted and repulsively sexist things he has said....

No, he just bleats like a whiny kid about how mean they are to him all the time. It's pathetic for a man his age.

Heh, you can pretty much sum up everything Trump says with this:

"I'm awesome, and everyone loves me, except for those pathetic losers who don't love me, it's disgusting. And of course I love everyone, and we all get along well, except for those pathetic people that don't love me, but they are losers. And I'm awesome"

Finally they have a guy who gives this biased bunch of political hacks a run for their money...

yet his campaign is gaining ground.

Only within the Republicans.

I find it rather amusing that both the Leftard Democrats (with most MSM) and the out-of-touch NeoCon GOP are attacking Trump (Populist Extraordinaire D-bag), yet his campaign is gaining ground. Bwah-ha-ha-ha!

he may have some other motive altogether, and his marketing may be fitting that masterfully.

Strangerland, good point!

Seeing that the mainstream media as a whole has been and is acting as the PR arm of the American democrat party, the premise of this article is pretty rich.

Finally they have a guy who gives this biased bunch of political hacks a run for their money, and they are not happy.... sour grapes I say, including the writer of this article.

Those Mexicans with LA drivers licences!!

-nice try there Madverts.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

You got to admit the guy is a master at marketing.

Well, that will only be seen if he manages to win the republican leadership, and the presidency to follow. If he doesn't, then his marketing will have been a failure. If he does, then you're right, he will be shown to be a marketing master.

Although, that's presuming his end goal is to become the Republican candidate and the president - he may have some other motive altogether, and his marketing may be fitting that masterfully.

Trump is a great businessman. When you think of Sharper Image (and by "you", I mean those obsessed by overpriced, unneeded gadgets - others associate Sharper Image as the pinnacle of consumerist futility), you naturally think of frozen slabs of bovine flesh. Unfortunately, clogged arteries and general stupidity eroded the market so greatly that Trump Steaks© are no longer available for gullible mass consumption, but fortunately, you can relive the memory here.

Nobody understands the power of the media on public perception quite like Donald Trump.

Except for the media outlets themselves.

He’s fumed over television reporters doing live shots from empty auditoriums once his supporters have left.

Any media outlet that would do this is trying to influence the election. The media outlets should stick to REPORTING the news instead of trying to CREATE it.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

You got to admit the guy is a master at marketing. Good or bad, he's getting his name out there.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Better Sanders than Hillary, but better Hillary than Trump.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Hillary Clinton???Is that the best the USA has to offer???? Why would anyone want her who knows about her???? All you Trump haters would rather have that low life ?

Trump routinely orders news camera operators to pan the crowds at his rallies to show how large the gatherings are — and then chastises them, with disgust, when they fail to obey. - article

The Way of the Dictator: "a person who rules a country with total authority and often in a cruel or brutal way"

source: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/dictator

Trump walks the path of the Dictator and pretends oblivious to his own intent and packaging. Available in six-packs and cases, apparently in the States.

Black,

Just my sentiments. He's got the horrible racists and bigots behind him, out in public saying things they only dared think in private until Trump charged from the Asylum.

From here on out it will be an internal fight as the establishment GOP try to contain the monster they created with the dollars of Bush as DJ Trump rips the Asylum in two.

Let's not forget Newt (heh) Gingrich was in Trump's "loony of the week" spot this time four years ago...

Here is a link to some of Trump's greatest quotes, done to the theme of Star Wars Why not - Both are equally plausible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU_Jdts5rL0

Haha that's great :)

Madverts

Trump has peaked? What makes you say that?

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Trump has peaked.

It's going to be fun to see those emboldened by his bigoted, racist, sexist scream-a-thon try to justify themselves as anything else at this point. Heh.

Those Mexicans with LA drivers licences!! The gas chambers!! Eeeeek!!!

Most people don't trust what the MSM media have to say, The reporting is completely slanted to the Democrats and against Trump so it isn't a surprise.

Completely slanted? Rubbish. There are plenty of right-wing and conservative-leaning media outlets offering a different point of view.

Quite a good idea: not only is it free, but people pay much more attention to entertainment than to substance. Here is a link to some of Trump's greatest quotes, done to the theme of Star Wars Why not - Both are equally plausible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU_Jdts5rL0

Trump has logged a whopping 22 hours and 46 minutes of free airtime from May 1 to December 15 on Fox News alone,

Rupert Murdoch's numerous MSM outlets have their fraudcasters sending messages saying keep fear alive, riling up the hard of thinking white nationalists who've found their champion in Trump.
