I think that Clint is just wishful thinking with Romney.

There's nothing that shows Romney has a solid grasp of the manifold problems facing the USA.

He is in the same income bracket as Clint, though.

maybe Clint just doesn't get it that there is no real bad guy to go after at this point except for

the enemy within, so to speak.

Clint says it like it is. The empty stool was impromptu and effective ; He made his points in his own way. It's true that there are unkept campaign promises ( both parties are guilty of this) and if the people are dissatisfied, then they hold the power ( theoretically) to replace the person. His aim was the middle, or undecided. The party faithful are entrenched anyways.

@ Herve Nmn L'Eisa: I think you hit the nail on the head. The party faithful are always faithful and cannot be changed, All of the money spent on elections is to 1) make the middle changes their minds; and 2) actually get them to vote.

Obama only lags this year because he lost the huge base he has last time around however has a fanatic base. Romney has a lot of money.

Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

It is very sad when someone thinks that no matter what he/she does, the public will admire the work. Eastwood destroyed years and years of quality work and awards at the RNC with his sophomoric presentation. It is time to ride into the sunset. Sad, isn't it?

It is very sad when someone thinks that because they disagree with someone's politics, they suddenly get to be the interpreter of someone's legacy. Sad, isn't it?

My god, get over yourself.

Sure I like the good, the bad and the ugly, dirty harry, etc..but thems are movies folk! This year is the year of CHANGE, meaning do we keep Mr.Obama in power to keep fighting against the CORRUPT filthy rich bastards that have made Washington DC the stinking, corrupt farce that 99.9999% of Americans can not trust??? Or do we give filthy rich greedy bastards like Mitt Romney, Rush Limbaugh the chance to keep screwing us for every nickle and dime??? Back to Mr. Eastwood, too bad for him, he will go down in history as that great actor who had the bad sense of siding with the corrupt Republican filthy greedy rich bastards THAT LOOK DOWN on US, the 99.9999999% of hard working Americans, so Sr.Clinto Eastwood, GO TO HELL!!

Elbuda, your views would be better received if you turned down the SHOUTING TO TRY TO MAKE A POINT.

Since you mentioned corruption, you may be surprised to learn that Dems have had their fair share of corruption scandals. It's ridiculously naive or intentionally dishonest to say otherwise.

Mr Eastwood expressed his opinion in a way that didn't fit with some narrow-minded people. That's their issue, not his.

Eastwood is a pretty good actor and great director so it was really sad to see him going down the path to senility in such a public forum with that rambling diatribe. That's why they give actors scripts, so they don't have to ad lib. It was a good fit with the Republican platform though - old, tired and out-of-touch.

To be fair, at lease Eastwood is an entertainer that has dabbled in politics. Despite that I found his speech pretty deranged and borderline insulting, he's more qualified than people like Madonna that somehow think their voices are needed backed up by thirty years of singing shite.
