No mention of the increased potential for strikes against Israel? Hmmm...

So this is how the French fight IS. Sell jets and let someone else do the fighting. The good point is the jets only need to fly to Libya and not to Syria. Finally the neighborhood is starting to realize that "one of the good 'ol boys" isn't such a reliable family member. Assad better get out of there soon.

" The deal for 24 of Dassault Aviation’s multi-role Rafale aircraft as well as a frigate and munitions, underlines how many are willing to overlook Egypt’s poor human rights record when it comes to weapons sales as Cairo emerges as a key player in the fight against the Islamic State group. "

This is also a black eye for the US; which has been the weapons supplier for Egypt until, but under Obama turned into a Muslim Brotherhood jihadist sponsor. And a very well deserved black eye.

No skin off US' back. Have somebody else take the blame for Egypt's ills. For outdated jets too.

You are unaware of the Obama governments support for the Muslim Brotherhood?? And the Rafale jets are hardly "outdated".
