“It was jarring to see the scene of the massacre,” Musk said in a conversation with Netanyahu streamed on X. He said he was troubled by video and photos that the prime minister showed him of the killings of civilians, including children.

He should also show him photos and videos of the civilians killed by the IDF while going after Hamas.

Netanyahu, who urged a rollback of such hatred in a September meeting with Musk, said he hoped the billionaire would be involved in building a better future. Musk replied, “I’d love to help.”

Well, a good start would be to stop amplifying "The Great Replacement Theory".

“the pla

The above should be expanded to include 'hqtred of others' especially those that are not heterosexual, white Christian, and economically well off. Musk and his supporters have beliefs little different from the Kremlin's ruling caste.

“Hatred of the Jews affects the behavior of people in many places around the world, and you have a huge role to play in this,” Herzog told Musk.

Saying that Israel bombs hospitals, kills children and reporters and indiscriminately bombs: Anti-Semitic.

Saying transnational Jewry is pushing for immigration to replace Europeans, pushing a woke agenda to undermine European Christian culture , and using the Jewish controlled media to do so: Free speech.

Got it, and sounds like MAGA messaging, no wonder Musk and Netanyahu are behind it.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Mr Musk needs to visit Gaza and speak with Palestinians, innocent children that have lost their parents and been maimed by US bombs.

Let’s not hate but let’s not pretend that there is never another side to any story!

2 ( +9 / -7 )

and using the Jewish controlled media to do so: Free speech.

Absolutely and unequivocally wrong, but it’s free speech.

Got it, and sounds like MAGA messaging, no wonder Musk and Netanyahu are behind it

MAGA? So if I enjoy coke over a glass of water that now makes me MAGA?

-18 ( +3 / -21 )

Absolutely and unequivocally wrong, but it’s free speech.

Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

It’s amazing what humans can do if they're fed lies since they were children.

Yes, it's true across the board, not just Hamas, from religion to politics kids are being fed dirty great lies by brainwashing parents, schools, media, social media louts and advertisers. Congrats to Elon for finally noticing. Can we expect some soul searching from Musk and a commitment to truth from now on all sides from X?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.

Reach is exactly what the left is trying to do again.

-14 ( +3 / -17 )

Reach is exactly what the left is trying to do again.

’the left’ is not a monolithic group.

11 ( +13 / -2 )

’the left’ is not a monolithic group

True, very true and yet ironically, the vast majority of them are trying to silence or smear conservatives.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

True, very true and yet ironically, the vast majority of them are trying to silence or smear conservatives.

Not true. Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach. Nobody is being silenced. If nobody likes your tweet it is because nobody likes your tweet.

9 ( +11 / -2 )

Not true. Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.

Democrats?

Nobody is being silenced.

Dunno, according to former Twitter execs and records and the fact that Musk had to save it from becoming another Media Matters proxy is more than proof to show how far the left will go to silence the right or at the very least dirty them up or hamper them.

If nobody likes your tweet it is because nobody likes your tweet.

Well, now we can say this.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

Now that St. Elon has taken pictures with his phone, anti-Semitic violence actually exists, eh?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Spreading lies about beheading babies and covering up Apache helicopters at a music festival is just as despicable.

The BBC was caught altering the subtitles on a released Palestinian woman to suit the narrative.

There is a far bigger issue of bias and facts at play here.

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Sadly, Accurations of antisemitism are the new modern weapon to silence inconvenient people.

-4 ( +8 / -12 )

The billionaire, who has described himself as a free-speech absolutist, tweeted during his Israel visit that “actions speak louder than words.”

X has since sued Media Matters, saying the Washington-based nonprofit manufactured the report to “drive advertisers from the platform and destroy X Corp.”

So his actions have spoken louder than his works and demonstrate that in his case "free-speech" only applies to speech he tolerates, this specially applies when he has already accepted the report is true.

8 ( +11 / -3 )

Not true. Freedom of speech, not freedom of reach.

Democrats?

No musk.

Dunno

Yes.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

If nobody likes your tweet it is because nobody likes your tweet.

Restrict reach= nobody sees it so no one CAN like it. Quite different.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Restrict reach= nobody sees it so no one CAN like it. Quite different.

Then blame musk. ‘Freedom of speech nor freedom of reach’ is his quote and his company policy.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

No musk.

Who’s complaining? Democrats

Yes.

Doesn’t seem like they do

-15 ( +1 / -16 )

Herzog did confront Musk, saying that “the platforms you lead, unfortunately, have a huge reservoir of hatred, hatred of Jews and antisemitism.”

It has more than that - it's become a far-right cesspool of hate, division, and overt racism...

It's also gone from $44 billion down to $19 billion, a 55% drop...which continues as advertisers flee...

True, very true and yet ironically, the vast majority of them are trying to silence or smear conservatives.

Then you must be talking about conservatives as they are doing an excellent job of smearing themselves; you know, calling each other "groomers", "RINO Globalists", "lying dogs", "misogynists'", "little bitc^", etc....and them there's George Santos and his daily crazed rants....

Dems are just enjoying the Repub circular firing squad...

6 ( +8 / -2 )

and the Neo-Nazi slogan “Blood and soil.”

What’s that river to the sea stuff? Lefties innit?

And who is Biden Biden you cant hide you’re supporting genocide? Lefties again.

Then blame musk. ‘Freedom of speech nor freedom of reach’ is his quote and his company policy.

I do blame him for that. To hear the left tell it, he’s MAGA or something.

He’s not. Just more fair to both sides than previous ownership, but still a leftie at heart.

Before Musk, Twitter didn't silence conservative voices unless they violated the terms of service. Conservatives and liberals were treated equally.

Blacklabel

He’s not. Just more fair to both sides than previous ownership, but still a leftie at heart.

A leftie who amplifies the "Great Replacement Theory". Yeah, right. And the previous Twitter was fair to conservatives and liberals.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

It must be a great disappointment to you that musk didn’t save free speech, I recall you being so excited about it. At least you can still make up conspiracies about why nobody listens or cares.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

He’s not. Just more fair to both sides than previous ownership, but still a leftie at heart.

Cribbing ideas for your tech projects from a Scottish anarcho-communist writer of some of the best SF in decades, Iain Banks, and passing them off as your own does not make you a "leftie".

Typical rightist capitalist stealing from the actual creators to enrich themselves.

Musk is desperately trying to court the Xtian nationalist pro-Zionist base to subscribe to to the Xitter pay app to fulfill his Chinese style super app aspirations.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

So, this week Musk is not being anti-semitic. Until next week when he likes or retweets something anti-semitic.

This is the actual truth.

Wearing a protective vest and escorted by a phalanx of security personnel as rain fell

Saw the pic. Better up the Ozempic, Elon. There was a WHOLE-LOT of “unprotected area”

there.

Your Trump avatar wants to discuss self-awareness with you.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Nobody is being silenced.

Yeah, now on X they’re not, not anymore.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Yeah, now on X...

(and)

both sides than previous ownership...

...which used to be Twitter (that Musk was forced to buy by the courts) Musk has lost billions (tens of). Remember, Musk never actually wanted to buy Twitter. The courts forced him to.

Andrew Tate has offered Elon Musk $1 million a month to advertise X, formerly known as Twitter.

(news source)

How is that working out? Musk got into this situation since he was starving for attention from Trump people. It's strange that Trump people hate electric cars but they like Musk. Why is that? It's really weird. But Trump people hate Bill Gates but regularly use Microsoft. That is really weird inconsistent behavior. Why do Trump people do that?

Actually, it doesn't. In that clip, Matt says nothing about Twitter treating conservatives differently from liberals.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Islamophobia and Antisemitism are two sides of the same coin. The same people spew the same hate. And X enables them.

Now that St. Elon realizes that it’s costing him (more) money, he’s suddenly concerned about the violence that results from the hate he’s enabled.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Actually, it doesn't. In that clip,

Matt said so, look up the transcripts and you will see it, no need to troll, you can't distort the words he said.

Matt says nothing about Twitter treating conservatives differently from liberals.

Yes, he does.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Yes, he does.

Who cares? It's a private business. It's not the government. Non Trump people don't complain about Trump's TrumpBook social media platform? Don't like it, you are free to use the available tools to make your own social media site like Trump did. And how come Trump does not return to X/Twitter? That is really weird.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The same people spew the same hate. And X enables them.

But you were ok with Trump being silenced by the previous owners? Why?

Now that St. Elon realizes that it’s costing him (more) money,

Like he cares. Lol

he’s suddenly concerned about the violence that results from the hate he’s enabled.

He's more concerned about Media Matters and their smear campaign to try and nail this guy for political partisanship.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Yes, he does.

Tangential, but you have quoted Taibbi a bit and I wonder if you share his extensive anti-capitalist views like characterizing financializtion and billionaire hyper-capital as a "vampire- squid".

Musk is certainly an exemplar of that with his blood emerald legacy beginning in the capital markets.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Trump being silenced by the previous owners? Why?

The real Why? is why doesn't Trump return to X under Elon's leadership?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

In addition , I am sure when you talk of Taibbi and "censorship" he is speaking of people like me who criticize neo-liberal capitalism, mostly from the Democratic Party, not supporters of alt-right conservatism. .

Musk is in damage control the whole trip is a PR stunt.

his recent antisemitic statements on Twitter has caused a mass excoduse of advertisers, hes losing billions.

Yes Musk can say whatever he wants, and those advertisers can spend their money wherever they choose.

For a guy that publicly stated that he doesnt care if he loses money over his comments he sure is complaining a lot that people arent spending money on X

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Tangential, but you have quoted Taibbi a bit and I wonder if you share his extensive anti-capitalist views like characterizing financializtion and billionaire hyper-capital as a "vampire- squid".

But he also stated that he is a Capitalist and old-school Democrat in the traditional sense, nothing wrong with that. That was the time when libs were normal and didn't hate America.

Musk is certainly an exemplar of that with his blood emerald legacy beginning in the capital markets.

That is the price we all have to pay for quality products, it is an ugly business.

In addition , I am sure when you talk of Taibbi and "censorship" he is speaking of people like me who criticize neo-liberal capitalism, mostly from the Democratic Party, not supporters of alt-right conservatism.

No, he was criticizing the people who don't want free speech in particular conservatives
