If they subjugate Russia, who will they go after?

Sweden has approved a constitutional amendment that enables it to enact tougher anti-terror laws demanded by Ankara. And both nations have lifted bans on military sales to Turkey that they imposed after its 2019 military incursion into Syria.

There was a deal made, Sweden made some changes working toward their part, something that was not part of the deal happened and Turkey says it’s not going to go through with it. Time for Sweden to roll back some of this maybe. They did it all at the demands of Turkey for a deal which Turkey has no intention of keeping and apparently never did. Do your own thing Sweden.

Finland has reiterated several times that they won't join without Sweden.

Russia said several times they weren’t going to invade Ukraine. But here we are.

Better to kick out Erdogan from NATO. There are too many of these midget egomaniacs in the world.

100%

Better Sweden than Turkey in NATO but I guess the west don't want to lose access to the Bosphorus.

As much as I hate him, he is probably one of the only people who can stop the conflict.

Russia said several times they weren’t going to invade Ukraine. But here we are.

historically and factually, parts of Ukraine voted democratically to join Russia. Don’t forget Maiden US backed coup, was not democratic. Oppression and genocide was being committed against Russian Speaking Ukrainians. UN did nothing, AI, HRW etc also turned a blind eye. That’s around 20% of Ukrainians killed, tortured, oppressed. Zelensky was voted in promising Ukraine will be a neutral nation not joining NATO.

Ah, 2014. That didn’t happen because of the U.S. That happened because of Russia influencing Ukraine away from joining the EU. The people turned on the Russian backed government. Had Russia kept out of it, 2014, and 2013 would never have happened.

Grumpy is obviously very angry about something. Maybe it’s time for him to retire.

No he wasn't.

Zelensky also promises that Ukraine will continue working toward integration with the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), but adds that the benefits of joining NATO have yet to be explained to Ukrainians living in the eastern part of the country. As a citizen of Ukraine I am for NATO, but we must explain to people that it is for security. We must reach out to all the inhabitants of the east. NATO membership must be decided through a referendum, “

And on the Minsk peace process: “It must be restarted. It is a war with Russia, so the talks should be with Russia. It must be in the diplomatic format, with the presence of Western partners. We will never sacrifice our people or our territories. “

Is Erdogan that confident that Turkey can stand up against Russia if needed without NATOs backing? I personally think he's overplaying his cards on this one.

So which part of the North Atlantic does Turkey belong to ?

Perhaps they should be pushed out of NATO - "North Atlantic Treaty Organization", and join some other pact ?

The rest of NATO I think is holding their breath until the results of the upcoming 14 May 2023 elections are known. The opposition is vowing to restore ties to the west and push through constitutional reforms to greatly limit the powers of the President, which used to be a ceremonial position, and return to a parliamentary system with a Prime Minister and, last, pursue EU membership. See what happens in May. Until then expect nothing.

Turkey under Erdogan is a Warsaw pact 2.0(BRICS) ally, he has been doing very well in sabotaging NATO. Erdogan is ally of Putin & XI
