99% chance it will involve taking over supply of poor nations and plunging them into an inflation spiral, as done to African nations so far.

In the short term there will be disruption. In another year the US will have additional floating offshore gas liquification and loading terminals in the Gulf of Mexico right smack in the middle of the gas fields and be able to fill much of Europe's energy needs. The Israelis will be in a position to fill the rest using an undersea pipeline. Finland and Lithuania just completed a shared offshore LNG terminal and pipeline to allow them to take deliveries of gas from ships so they are no longer reliant on Russian gas. The South Koreans can build these floating offshore LNG regassification plants in around a year to a year and a half. These will allow EU nations to access foreign LNG supplies much more rapidly than if they built fixed facilities ashore.
