Europe screaming for American help yet again.

God bless America!

(That enough American nationalism for everyone today?)

The Brits must now be thankful they left the dithering inept union

Biden is nearing 200,000 deaths on his watch. Since they are so generous would it be possible for Europe to ship some of their vaccine production to America too?

Since Biden took office covid deaths in America have halved which reached the highest peak during Trump's single term of office. Biden's determination to vaccine 200 million people in the first 100 days are working.

Our esteemed member implies that since Mr. Biden should have stopped all Covid-19 deaths upon inauguration and since he hasn't he has failed utterly. Right? It is as if the big bang happened the day before his inauguration and nothing that happened in the months and years before has any effect on what happens today.

Ms von der Leyen and her colleagues are upset that Mr. Biden proposed waiving patent protections for Covid-19 vaccines and the EUs big pharmaceutical companies and some member states such as mighty Germany refused to go along with this idea. This undercut the EUs long held position of moral superiority by exposing the little fact that their companies and national government are as constrained by self interest as any other and not so morally superior after all. Instead of taking action within the EU to waive patent protections she whines that the US should give them vaccines instead. My heart bleeds.

Is she really asking that the US give vaccines to Europe? That's not my understanding. Is she not asking for the US to export vaccines to other countries. As the article says, the EU already exports vaccines to other countries.

Further note... I received my second Pfizer-BioNTech shot yesterday here in the UK. I understand that it was imported from the EU, either from Belgium or Germany.

Biden inherited a vaccine, a vaccination program distributing a million shots a day and growing rapidly and yet there has been a nearly 50% increase in total American covid deaths in just a little over three months? Biden criticized Trump for not getting results despite the fact that he had nothing to do with the existence of the covid virus and cut off foreign travel. Well, Biden boasted that he was competent - the results say otherwise. Biden has even screwed up a growing economy that he inherited by giving out $2 trillion in free money to encourage people not to work.

Here is a chart of Covid-19 deaths per day in the US.

Notice the highest daily case count preceded the highest daily death count by some two weeks.
