Still, earthquakes and tsunamis don't happen often/never in Europe. It is a bit exagerated.

Foxie: Yeah, right. Safety is no important after all. Be sure Japanese were confident in their power plant until everything ran havoc.

Foxie, Europe has had plenty of large earthquakes, Especially in Italy, Greece, and the Iberian Peninsula.

EU ,USA and Japan ,number one enemy is not anything else than nuke technology radiation leaks.

Keep Fightin the good fight.

Make radiation leaks zero and make danger zero.

Don't let this freak even stand in the way of nuclear power, which is generally clean, safe, and efficient. Europe has no earthquakes!

Yep, we should absolutely do away with all nuclear power plants. I mean, 9.0 earthquakes happen every single day, and the followup Tsunamis, well, at least once a week right? So stupid. I actually thought Lieberman was a smart guy until I heard he came out against nuclear power based on Japans problems.

Molenir - Agree Molenir,do away with nuclear plants in Japan. Building anti Quake-Tsunami Nuclear Reactor, may be possible in future but not now.

It takes time and many highly costly tests, to build Reactors that can take Tsunamis and 9.0 Magnitude quakes.

Most Reactor tech is suitable for EU and US . They built using EU/US tech,in areas where there are no quakes, according to EU/US standards.

Japan quakes, call for very high special quality standards for Japan.

Wrong Decisions have been made Japan Govt to have these low safety plants. Next Elections, would see many govt officials lose their seats due to what has happened. There needs to a big reform in energy sector and safety standards need to go up.

It will cost more billions,to have new honest reforms of japan energy solutions. It can be done.

Lessons learned from Fukushima-Sendai,can help japan in making better and safer power plants of future and drive new ways of making energy.

Lesson learnt in the Fukushima/Sendai can empower japan to new heights in safety at sea coasts and in searching for new safer forms of energy for japan.
