@cla68burningbush The war that no country wants, except one of course, the country that Trump takes orders from.

It is confusing how Trump's going to handle possible conflicts with Iran given Iran is Russia's partner in Syria and in manipulating gas and oil markets. Both Iran and Russia are trying to re-establish their empires. Collectively? Separately?

Trump's been hesitant to apply more sanctions to Russia. Will Trump continue to side with Russia?

That Trump might be pushing for military action anywhere must be disconcerting to the GoTrumpers who'd long said he wasn't beholden to any group, that he in fact was going to smash the MSM led hegemonic cabal of international banking globalists. Is Trump now the leader of this group? Or their puppet face. If so, how can GoTrumpers reconcile his roles.

Trump won't pull out. Give him a token concession and call it a day,

...the second-best solution is to encourage the Americans to ... keep conditions that enable our companies in non-oil related sectors to continue to trade.

This is the rub. Iran can continue the agreement as long as it has access to the EU and other foreign markets excluding the US. If Trump extends sanctions to non-American entities trading with Iran, a whole new, entirely more damaging can of worms will be opened.

Gotta have that war, on top of the other ones. Deflect domestic strife with a huge war. Best ever. Huge casualties. Huge ratings.

They could take a cue from North Korea, cut out the US and work out a deal with other countries. Let Trump suck on his thumb in the corner alone like a spoiled child who has to have all of Obama’s things for himself so he can smash them.

The interesting thing is that if Trump manages to abrogate America's obligations under the JCPOA, it may not make much difference if the UK, Germany, and France manage too 'preserve' their trade with Iran or not, the ICJ is likely going to hold them liable for all the costs (direct, or through second parties) the US imposes on Iran.

Remember, they are cosigners and such are almost always held liable for all the bad behaviors of that other signer.

Trump wants to blow up the nuclear arms deal with Iran, while telling his base that he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. They should make a special award for stupidity, just for him.

Trump's pull out the deal is a very light punishment on Iran, the critical thing is what Israel will do to Iran. They might strike Iran with everything they have in their arsenals. Everything they have that means something unconventional!

Agree.

Although the POTUS stated that ' Emmanuel , who's a wonderful guy' left the Oval office with a different view on Iran than when he came in ' , it's possible that, as he liked the French kisses, as a concession Macron may send him 'blow kisses' on Skype for a regular basis.
