I wonder how millions US payed Hijab to "defect" 2 days after he was fired by the Syrian government... and who wrote his speech? lol Since the west has now armed the "rebels" with more tanks, Russia should go all out to arm Syria with anything they want. No one should be arming either side!!!!

Where do you start with a statement like that?

“It is obvious that Iran has been playing a larger role in Syria in many ways,” U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told a news conference.

"...and so have we"

Rats fleeing a sinking ship?

When even other Arab nations want to throw ya out, man, that's bad..................

2 thumbs down for me? Some truth haters out there. The CIA and British government have both openly admitted their involvement in assisting the "rebels"

No wonder Panetta can get up there with his smug grin. These days you dont even have to lie. People wont believe the truth if you tell them. What an odd society we have become.

A total of 89 people were killed nationwide on Tuesday, 53 of them civilians, it said.

By whom? By the rebels probably.

The Western politicians will regert big time that they supported this latest example of "Arab Spring" once the Muslim Brotherhood takes power and installs yet another Sunni theocracy.

Fools.

lostrune:

" When even other Arab nations want to throw ya out, man, that's bad.. "

You don´t get it, do you. The Alevite Assad regime is not Sunni Arab and relies on support from Shiite Iran. The Sunni Arab regimes in the region never had sympathy for the secular Assad regime,. and the Muslim Brotherhood have been trying to overthrow the Assad clan for decades. The only thing new is that the West is now supporting the Muslim Brotherhood and its miltary arm, called Al Quaeda. Fools.

Christians and Jews are permitted to openly practice their religion in Syria and are protected against persecution.

Woman are not required to wear veils and can partake in life with much more freedom than in Saudi Arabia and other fundamentalist regimes. Girls have compulsory and complete education, like boys.

Alcohol consumption is permitted in Syria

For these reasons and many others, Syria is despised by fundamental Islamic countries, Al Qaeda and other hardcore muslim groups.

Uncle Assad was setting a bad example that Islam, Arab culture and Secular Humanism could succeed together. That's why the Islamists want him out.

Never Submit:

Exactly!

The sight of Western government joining with Saudi Arabia and Turkeys islamist AKP to support the Salafis in their drive to replace the Assad regime with a Shariah dictatorship is something to behold.

The Assad regime supports the destruction of Israel, and any enemy of Israel is the enemy of the Western peoples; isn't that how it works. "The enemy of my enemy is..........." means people who support Assad are anti-Israel, hahaha.
