“If I had not joined the Army, if I had not gone to Iraq, I would not have got caught up in anything.” What a moron. Blame the Army for things you did willingly and with malice. May you be haunted by them while you are rotting in prison.

He should have been tried in an Iraqi court!

You won't get a stronger sentense from a military court-martial. Any worst, like death, would be bad for publicity and recruitment. < :-)

Maybe he should have gotten what Khalid, the mastermind of 911, has gotten

Good to read about what's happening on the ground in Iraq. War is never nice, lots of lives ruined in this one example.

I agree with skipthesong, for a change -- the man should have been tried in Iraq.
And what a coward -- to be fobbing off the blame on the military. That the man even has a chance to appeal or be pardoned by some nut who would consider it later is disgusting.

Operation 'Liberation Iraq' continues apace. I wonder how Abeer feels about it but then she's not American, is she? It was Vietnam, now Afghanistan and Iraq. Next year Iran. And for what? And Mr.Green doesn't even get the death penalty. I'm sure his lawyer is very proud. And Abeer and her family ... Justice ...?
