You had your chance to reject Trump, wonder boy. Instead you made a deal with the Devil and got burned.

Then you were silent during the Big Lie and the insurrection.

You are irrelevant and ineffective. Also too late, your party has become a cult.

Funny how Republicans never seem to speak to truth until they've renounced office.

Remember when people like Chaney, Flake, Carlie Dent and Wonder Boy here were people with whom one could disagree on policy but were recognized as fundamentally decent honest people?

Remember when they let in the crazies and then quit (with the exception of Chaney) politics and went silent?

Remember when the GOP went from a party of ideas that one could agree or disagree with, to a cult built around lies and devotion to a narcissistic sociopath?

I honestly thought the the fever-dream of Trump's cult would lift when he was out of office. I was mistaken.

Perhaps when he is convicted and imprisoned for multiple felonies......

I feel that somebody is about to get cancelled.

With the exception of a handful, it seems Repubs only see reality and speak the truth once they are thrown out of office...

It just goes to show how far power corrupts...

Paul needs to recognize we no longer have a Republican Party - it's now the Democrats and the anti-democratic Insurrectionist Party...

Paul who?

Not really tbh.

The guy you once thought was the cat’s meow.

No, but I had no idea he was a real establishment Republican either at the time, oh, how we live and learn.

no, these people were hated by liberals and Dems.

its just politically convenient to go back in time and claim they were recognized as decent, honest people. never happened.

were people with whom one could disagree on policy but were recognized as fundamentally decent honest people?

Dem perception of Paul Ryan, prior to him coming out as a Trump hater.

Paul Ryan's long con?

But to critics like the New York Times’s Paul Krugman, Ryan was an obvious con man weaponizing the deficit to hamstring Obama’s presidency, weaken the recovery, and snooker Beltway centrists eager to champion a reasonable-seeming Republican.

Paul Krugman was right.

What I remember about Paul Ryan was he was supposed to be this good observant Catholic who's burning desire was to strip medical insurance coverage from the poor and working class families of America. One wonders what Christ would think of those who today claim to be his adherents even as they strive to be the person who's shekels make the most noise as they are deposited into the donation container and who glean the fields even as the god they claim to worship told them not to, let the poor have what is left after the first pass with the scythe. I wonder how many of these good Christian Republicans even know the passages and lessons I am referring to? A bunch of vile hypocrites distorting religion and abusing the mortal fears of the people to advance their own power and wealth. And Paul Ryan was one of the most skilled and disgusting practitioners of this dark art.

Well, whoever he was, he’s irrelevant now. Anyway….

Yeah a lot of them seem to find their spines again once they're not up for reelection anymore.

Praying and holding on to hope to be relevant once again, which will never happen for the swamp establishment.
