Your guess is as good as mine, but the President always likes to hear the opinions of others that are different from his. But yeah, that was not a good decision on his part to choose him. I did hear that Bolton hoped that Trump would bomb Iran and North Korea and when that didn’t happen, he got ticked off, seriously!
I love Bolton, I like his hawkish stance, but you can’t go in and do what happened in Iraq.

Pretty much all books are written for the personal profit of the author. Its a "common thread" of most books in general. The common thread of these ones is that they provide detailed accounts of why Trump is unfit for office, something not found in most other books.

Bolton is so right on this one. NK's Kim is just one of many leaders and regular people in the world laughing at Trump. Good businesspeople are good at business. Good doctors are good at medicine. Good politicians (though rare) are good at politics. Good actors are good at acting (and a few may be good at acting like politicians). But good conmen (like Trump) are definitely bad at both business and politics. They are only good at fooling some people for a limited period of time.

This actually makes me feel really sad for Trump and what must have transpired in the White House recently. Trump at some point saw what Bolton said on TV. He then wandered over to his bookshelf and pulled his "Me and Kim: BFF" scrapbook down. Then he ripped up all the letters from Kim that were in it. It wasn't easy. They were pasted in there pretty well. But he ripped them up nonetheless, yelling "I"m so stupid, I'm so stupid" as tears of anguished pain ran down his face.
And there was nobody there to stop him. Nobody to give him a shoulder to cry on.
