Only 14 days? He must have given Mueller something good!

7 ( +9 / -2 )

I thought September was supposed to be an epic month for Mueller.

How much longer are we gonna have to wait to see tangible results from this guy?

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

14 whole days?

Somebody has been talking to Mueller!

:)

Papadopolous must have given Mueller very valuable information to get off with such a light sentence.

Which means they’re going for the oompa loompa.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

I thought September was supposed to be an epic month for Mueller.

Well, you think a lot of things. Weird that you're posting random thoughts you had here though. Why don't you stick with posting things that are actually based off of something that really happened, instead of just whatever you've daydreamed about on some given afternoon?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Only 14 days? He must have given Mueller something good!

Or Mueller....once again said, shucks! Nothing here.....again, you may go.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

So many questions to be answered, one of which is will Trump have his staff provide government cheese to those convicted when they're living in a van by the river after they've completed their jail terms?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

They probably won't wait that long once Trump pardons them, then they can have the real Wisconsin Cheddar.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

He squealed like a pig I take it....yep sure Trump is going to pardon all involved we get you bass we really do....

3 ( +5 / -2 )

once Trump pardons them

Pardons will do about as much to drain the swamp as building a wall will solve the immigration issue. But both will momentarily satisfy the Trump’s simpleton cult followers.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

He squealed like a pig I take it....yep sure Trump is going to pardon all involved we get you bass we really do....

Many. I think so, squealed like a pig? You mean, he had a gun pointed to his head? Well, I agree with that.

Pardons will do about as much to drain the swamp as building a wall will solve the immigration issue.

But they will make the lefts heads explode which is always a joy in itself.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

14 days. But but I’m sure he would have gotten 20 years but he flipped and, but.....

oh never mind. He obviously did nothing of consequence mueller knows he gotta get a “conviction” or he is done.

But he’s already “done” , just hasn’t stopped yet. Maybe he can still get Roger Stone’s associate’s friend’s mistress or something.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

“Moss said he gave Papadopoulos 14 days because he researched how many defendants with this type of charge resulted in prison time -- and it was fewer than half.”

-and-

“And, the prosecutors add, Papadopoulos has been difficult for them to handle since he was arrested in July 2017.

"The defendant did not provide 'substantial assistance' " after that arrest, prosecutors wrote to the judge, "and much of the information provided by the defendant came only after the government confronted him."

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

14 days. But but I’m sure he would have gotten 20 years but he flipped and, but.....

Who knows how long it would have been, but it definitely would have been more than 14 days.

mueller knows he gotta get a “conviction” or he is done.

And now he's gotten five. Sounds like he's in the clear.

But he’s already “done” , just hasn’t stopped yet.

"He's done, except for the fact he's not done"

Oh, are we doing unattributed quotes now?

Trump is guilty as hell, they said, after investigating him for over a year.

Trump organized it all, and Papadopoulos is providing evidence that shows it all, they wrote.

See, my unattributed quotes cancel out yours.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

they will make the lefts heads explode which is always a joy in itself.

Pardoning these guys will upset reasonable people because its an affront to justice. But it will please Trump supporters because justice matters less to them than seeing their cult leader score a point.

It's not a left or right / liberal or conservative matter.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Pardoning these guys will upset reasonable people because its an affront to justice.

But going on a fruitless witch hunt to topple a duly elected President is justice?

But it will please Trump supporters because justice matters less to them than seeing their cult leader score a point.

Right back at you.

It's not a left or right / liberal or conservative matter.

It shouldn't be that is very true.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

--But it will please Trump supporters because justice matters less to them than seeing their cult leader score a point.

Right back at you.

No. Not right back at me. I never wished for indictments so that I can enjoy "watching the right's heads explode". You however, wrote:

[pardons] will make the lefts heads explode which is always a joy in itself.

Enough with the false equivalences.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Enough with the false equivalences.

I know it sucks calling out equivalent hypocrisies.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

How much longer are we gonna have to wait to see tangible results from this guy?

I would suggest patience.

When Kenneth Starr looked into the death of Vince Foster, it was 3 years (and several months) before he released his conclusion. As an investigation, it was about as comprehensive and thorough as it could possibly be; the conclusion itself was the same as that of previous investigations of Foster's death: suicide by a man suffering from depression. Case sodding well closed.

Oh, except for credulous idiot Donald Trump, who in 2016 was calling it "very fishy". "He knew everything that was going on, and then all of a sudden he committed suicide"

Evidently he believes investigations should go on indefinitely.

Well, in that case, like with Clinton, Trump has nothing to worry about.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

But going on a fruitless witch hunt to topple a duly elected President is justice?

Which movie did you pull that from? Can we please stick to things that are happening in real life? They are difficult enough without you bringing in made-up stories to muddy the waters.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Well, in that case, like with Clinton, Trump has nothing to worry about.

Maybe. And therefore, you can stop going on about how they should wind up the investigation. The investigation you just stated gives Trump nothing to worry about, gave Clinton nothing to worry about because they investigated extremely thoroughly, and came up with the verdict that there was nothing there. Therefore, as you just agreed, when Mueller's report comes out, it will be so thorough as to lay to rest any ideas that Trump may be corrupt, have obstructed justice, or have colluded with the Russians. So I'm glad to see we're all finally on the same page here, that the investigation should be left to take as long as it takes to complete the investigation thoroughly.

If anything, I would think your team would be the ones pushing for a longer investigation, with Team Blue pushing for things to get wrapped up. If Trump is as guilty as Team Blue believes, then the longer Trump is in the chair, the longer the country is under the leadership of one not fit to lead. So Team Blue should be the ones pushing for a faster Mueller investigation, with Team Red hoping for a longer investigation, to fully prove Trump's innocence.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Well, in that case, like with Clinton, Trump has nothing to worry about.

There's no logic in that statement. The only bearing Starr's investigation into Foster has on the Mueller investigation is that yes, children, an investigation can take more than a year. Even an easy one.

People who were on the Trump campaign are under investigation or already indicted, and Trump himself is balls deep in the mess. The investigation isn't over. It certainly may involve Trump. So we don't know what conclusions it is going to reach. But for a man who can't open his yap without perjuring himself, and who has been at pains to hide his tax records from public, media, and legal scrutiny, and who lies about everything - who is basically incapable of levelling with the American people - then there is a lot to be worried about, and a lot that could be found.

I think over the course of the investigation you've tried everything concerning Mueller: from memory, you've called him stupid, incompetent, politically biased, and corrupt. You may just possibly have had sufficient class to stop short of calling him a criminal, but I wouldn't even bet on that. It's the fact that your characterization is so far wide of the mark that is going to be Trump's problem: Mueller is none of those things, nor is he inexperienced, and he seems to be adept at tuning out irrelevant noise and just getting on with the investigation. That's the difference, isn't it. How many days has Trump spent playing golf while that investigation goes on quietly accumulating more and more information about him?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Which movie did you pull that from?

The Mueller Chronicles.

Can we please stick to things that are happening in real life?

That is why I am saying what I am saying.

They are difficult enough without you bringing in made-up stories to muddy the waters.

If only that were true.

Maybe. And therefore, you can stop going on about how they should wind up the investigation. The investigation you just stated gives Trump nothing to worry about, gave Clinton nothing to worry about because they investigated extremely thoroughly, and came up with the verdict that there was nothing there.

The dynamics are different in that you had the right going after Clinton for perjury and after all that and Monica and the cigars, it just did the GOP little good and made Clinton more popular, the right learned from that. Clinton got disbarred but that was it. Trump on the other hand, the left can't be objective since liberals are so emotional, the only thing they can think about is trying to get back into power and winning elections with zero ideas or policies except fro more robbing Paul to give to Peter and regulation, they don't have any plans. but Europeans don't have to worry about this in the US thankfully, it doesn't matter you guys can't in the US anyway, just relax.

Therefore, as you just agreed, when Mueller's report comes out, it will be so thorough as to lay to rest any ideas that Trump may be corrupt, have obstructed justice, or have colluded with the Russians.

I did not agree, nor did I say anything of the sort. Now that we have sorted that out. I will say this for the record, I applaud Giuliani that he managed to get Mueller to accept written statements to answer the questions pertaining to the so called Russian collusion theatrics.

If Trump is as guilty as Team Blue believes,

Believes which basically means, nothing since they believe dogs have 3 legs.

then the longer Trump is in the chair, the longer the country is under the leadership of one not fit to lead.

Which the left has been saying from day one, 63 accomplishes and still all the sticks and stones and the Dems can't touch the guy, so they need Mueller to do something, Oh, please...charge him with something, anything and then the Senate will laugh themselves silly.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

I applaud Giuliani that he managed to get Mueller to accept written statements to answer the questions pertaining to the so called Russian collusion theatrics.

I don't think many people have deluded themselves that those statements will actually answer any questions.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Mueller's still around? Black and Bass assured us that Rudy would shut Mueller down within a month. That was several months ago. It looks like Bass and Black were dead wrong yet again.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

It's hilarious witnessing conservatives continue to claim Mueller is ineffective after each guilty plea.

What is it like to deny reality? Must be comforting.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I applaud Giuliani that he managed to get Mueller to accept written statements to answer the questions pertaining to the so called Russian collusion theatrics

The same Giulliani that you guaranteed is wouldn't Mueller in his place within a month of joining Team Trump? How many months ago was that?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

14 days???

definitely copped an agreement of some sort because people have been given more time for less!!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Mueller's still around? Black and Bass assured us that Rudy would shut Mueller down within a month.

Peg your pardon? I didn't assure you of anything, I said that Trump probably won't testify and give Mueller the finger and it seems I was bloody right....again. I also said, the way things are going, Mueller should wrap it up soon. But nice try.

It's hilarious witnessing conservatives continue to claim Mueller is ineffective after each guilty plea.

Well, if I put a gun to anyone's head and force them to say something, most will not only sing, they will compose.

The same Giulliani that you guaranteed is wouldn't Mueller in his place within a month of joining Team Trump?

What?

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

"A former advisor to US President Donald Trump whose contacts with Russians set off the investigation into possible collusion with Moscow"

Pfffft! That's not what set off this witch hunt, Hillary's loss is what set it off.

"Mueller's still around? Black and Bass assured us that Rudy would shut Mueller down within a month."

Nah, Trump's gonna keep the clown around until the Nov elections, the longer it goes on the more the voters are fed up with the witch hunt and the Democrats.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Peg your pardon? I didn't assure you of anything

No you did. I clearly remember that one. 2 to 3 weeks is what you said, along with some cobblers about being able to rest easy now that you knew Giuliani was on it. You can attempt to deny that, but enough people remember what you said, so no one would believe you and it would just make you look like a liar.

For the record, Giuliani was appointed around April 19 this year, and your 2 to 3 weeks figure came from what Giuliani himself was saying. It was ridiculously unlikely (ie impossible) back then, and now it's just part of what makes Giuliani ridiculous. And considering the comically tight deadline, he spent a good part of it dicking around, giving disastrous TV interviews.

A later claim from Giuliani was that Mueller had promised to finish the investigation by September 1st. That looked like a lie, and unsurprisingly it hasn't happened either.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

CNN of course. You know I love using your own liberal media against you.

See, my unattributed quotes cancel out yours.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

it seems to me it was decided to keep Mueller around until after the midterms. Easy target, wasting money, can’t really announce any indictments, the convictions he gets are nonsense against nobodies with no Russia collusion even mentioned in their cases.

if he has something he would have brought it. He can’t even get Papa D for more than 14 days. The guy who supposedly starred this whole thing, the key figure! Who didn’t even cooperate! That should have gotten him six months to a year for angering Mueller the god.

(Well after they got caught spying on Carter Page and after it was found Hillary paid for the dossier, then Papa was the key figure, and had been all along.)

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

if he has something he would have brought it. He can’t even get Papa D for more than 14 days.

Yet more evidence that you have absolutely zero clue how the criminal justice system works. Keep it come, it makes me laugh.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Lol! Uh-huh....anyway, back to reality...with Giuliani on the team, now this entire fiasco should come to a quick end, this is probably THE most brilliant move Trump has made yet.

Looks like this Russian witch hunt will be ending soon and the President can get back to doing his job.

Yes, they're keeping him around. Brilliant analysis.

And after the midterms, they'll just cut him loose. Because you can fire a special counsel any time you want.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Anyway, this will blow over, Cohen will be ok

That’s Cohen, so what, Trump will just pardon him.

bass4funk, April 20

Still counting on Cohen being OK and getting a pardon?

the Australians told US intelligence counterparts what Downer had heard, spurring the FBI to begin investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

Thank you, Australia! Much appreciated!

2 ( +4 / -2 )

The pattern is to completely ignore when it's demonstrated s/he is incorrect with his/her own words.

That's only one pattern. The other is just to keep on talking. It's the same method used by conspiracy wackjobs. And of course they eventually revert to repeating the debunked claim.

Trump is the living embodiment of this kind of garbage. He's the poster boy for idiots everywhere.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

2 weeks. And mueller team conplained to the judge that he didn’t cooperate and wanted six months.

But Judge found more than half the people who do this “crime” don’t even go to jail at all.

So I guess that half who don’t go to jail for lying to FBI will be McCabe, Comey, Hillary, her staff, etc. how convenient for them that more than half don’t go to jail for doing what they did.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

So go after them when we’re done with trump.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Which conveniently again will be never. you will never be done with Trump until President Hillary takes her rightful place that he “stole” from her.

Speaking of convenient things:

Exactly! President who?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Black: Do you think all cold cases should be closed?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

So some cold cases should continue until justice is served?

Mueller is not pursuing friends of friends. Why even make such outlandish statements?

You guys love going on and on about Comey, Strzok, etc. getting arrested. If they were going to be arrested, they would already have been. Let me guess, we have to wait for the investigations into them to be concluded . . .

Mueller is just entertainment at this point, his antics bring out interesting talking points for water cooler chats but that's about it.

Mueller is a total, absolute, complete impotent dud.

Bar bulletins in ever state have a disciplinary section full of lawyers that have been disciplined.

Mueller is a lawyer.

I fail to see what you are trying to accomplish with the "Former federal prosecutor" bit.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Mueller is a lawyer.

Even more reason to be skeptical bout this guy.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Looking forward to when Mueller changes from hero to villain like Comey did

Bob Mueller, with high probability, set up George Papadopoulos via foreign intel/FBI back in of July. Charles Tawil approached Papadopoulos in Greece and gave him $10K in cash. Tawil was previously intelligence asset who work for CIA and FBI.

For more info, check WIKILEAKS Cables (around 2006) link: Paragraph #8 where it's noted:

https://www.wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/06PRETORIA5018_a.html

Mueller is connected to all of this due to the fact in 2006 he was the Director of FBI.

An interesting paragraph stating a $10K payment made to Papadopoulos on page 9 of the Special Counsel Mueller's sentencing memo. See below image link to the memo.

https://images2.imgbox.com/26/7c/vcNjYlMk_o.jpg

Chuck Ross from The Daily Caller did a little of digging with the payment story and mapped out the specifics: see link below...

*correction for first post - intel/FBI back in 2017 of July

See first post here in relation to this: https://japantoday.com/category/world/ex-trump-campaign-aide-jailed-in-russia-probe#comment-1737530

Did you get what they did there?

That was a clear setup where $10,000 cash to Papadopoulos was guaranteed to be part of the sting operation.FBI agents were waiting for Papadopoulos upon e-entry into America and his arrival at the airport. If had carried that $10 thousand into America without declaring a U.S. treasury filing, he would have gotten nailed on a violation by the DOJ/FBI.

Bringing $10K or more cold hard cash into America and not reporting can get you into big trouble with the Feds. Add into that angle of likelihood the set-up involved the use of an intelligence asset, and the problem can be connected into money laundering. Mueller looks for this kind of dirty leverage to have advantage over this young man.

The Fed agents supervised by Mueller were waiting for Papadopoulos. But Papadopoulos somehow became aware and suspected that something about the cash given to him was off. He sensed that something was not right about this. So Papadopoulos left the $10K given to him in Greece instead.

The absence of the $10K prevented the FBI's original plan and that is why they kept Papadopoulos for interrogation. This was prototypical underhanded FBI method of entrapment sting operation; a vintage sleazy setup by Mueller.

https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/04/george-papadopoulos-arrest-fbi-277760

Mangiane Papadopoulos, the wife and George Papadopoulos himself were sought out in Greece by a known FBI/CIA asset, Charles Tawil. Tawil engaged Papadopoulos as a business consultant, under the patronage of energy development involvement. Tawil gives him $10k in cash to take back to America. At the Dulles airport, Mueller had Fed agents waiting upon Papadopoulos arrival where he was stopped and searched; however, Papadopoulos, never had the money because he cunningly left the $10K with his lawyer in Greece. That's all she wrote folks!! Now you see how unscrupulous, below the belt Mueller's methods can be just to gain leverage.

"Papadopoulos has cooperated for more than a year with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

He has testified that senior campaign members encouraged him during 2016 to build ties with Russia, including after he told them that Moscow possessed -- and could be willing to share -- dirt on Trump's election rival Hillary Clinton."

This young fella’s country screwed him by getting framed for a crime enable to get secret warrants. His country totally set him up. The framers spent over $28 MIL to prosecute him for a crime that they set him up on. He is just a peasant and collateral damage to his country.

Just a lowly peasant who does not matter to the government because the authority uses him as just means to an end. This young guy is now just a peon in a police state. This young man is living in foreign communist state, with undercover police, backdoor courts, and hush-hush warrants. This young man will eventually be gone when his worth is used up. Can't have someone talking. 14-day prison term in a police state. This young man most likely will have an accident.

How many regular, hard working people that you know could handle a $28 MIL on budget prosecution? Are you peon peasants or Citizens?

This is what the America has now become under Barack Hussein Obama. I didn't serve in special ops all those years just to come back home and witness all of this crap. The shadowy coup has already began and came to realization under Barack Hussein Obama.

Fortunately we have now a different pres in the WH. He's an existential threat, agent of change trying to confront the most powerful government on the planet. POTUS has to have a QRF on standby waiting for the call.

As a former Navy Seal sniper, I am still here to gladly serve our President. How many of you people here at JT as well as currently residing in Nippon who are ex/retired soldiers that are ready and willing to answer the call if our President Trump calls for an EXFIL and QRF. I'll be sure to be at front lines in a heartbeat and happily assist in getting rid of the traitors! Patriots stand your ground and be ready at any moments notice.
