"Roads had for days been too dangerous to use because of heavy fighting(due to artillery shelling by Kiev's forces), frustrating efforts to recover all the victims’ remains and push ahead with an investigation."

It"s Kiev/US impeding the investigation.

Yeah, completely! Because it never takes two to tango, and the rebels haven't stolen the bodies and black boxes, nor have they manipulated the crash site. Nope... not one bit. I suppose you buy Girkin's claims that somehow the Ukrainian government killed these unknown Dutch and Australian and Malaysian passengers and stuffed them on the flight, dead, in Amsterdam well before it flew over the region? I guess you probably think the screen shots caught of Girkin bragging about shooting down a plane are nothing but a Ukranian smear campaign, too.

Just a big face palm.

Rebels have not stolen bodies and black boxes. They have not manipulated the crash site. Seems you are reading South Korean or US newspapers too much.

Had it been a plane load of Russian citizens, it's very doubtful that this humanitarian recovery for the victims' remains have taken so darn long.

@Burning Bush

If you check the OSCE's own reports they always praise the professionalism and honesty of the local Pro-Russian officials

Except when they are drunk and shoot randomly :-)

Killed by whom??? Curious that such an important piece of information got scrubbed from the article. An inconvenient truth perhaps.

Friendly fire. I am sure you could make up "better" explanations, but don't tell us.

Inexcusable war crime. Starving civilians into submission. Kiev is a criminal government.

Rest assured that Kiev is taking better preparations to defend the lives of its Russian minority than Russia itself. I am not a fan of Kiev or Ukraine in general, but they seem to defend human rights because it is right thing to do. Russia is defending them only for political points.

Negotiations don't work, as the whole world have found out. Direct attack would made too much civilian casualties. What is left?

@Olegek Rebels took away bodies, because they were rotting. It destroys evidence, but I agree with rebels.

Well, social media accounts can be opened by others. And photos can be photoshopped. And audio recordings can be tampered with. And satellite images can be manipulated. And of course any comments need to be verified. For everything else there is the problem of "authentication." And if the evidence came from the Ukraine then it's automatically false.

So, keeping that in mind, what proof do you have that it was the rebels? Did Putin appear to you in person and say it was him because at this point it's the only form of proof that I'd be able to accept. Of course you'd need to verify that it is in fact Putin. Maybe you can take some blood samples. Wait, those can be tampered with. Hmmm....

I'm sure there's some way that we can prove it was the rebels, just as long as it doesn't involve audio, video, pictures, or comments from others.
