China's ruling Communist Party commenced its so-called third plenum on Monday, a major meeting held roughly once every five years...

...the plenary session, or plenum, the third since its members were elected during the party's last congress in 2022

It's understandable that the writers here are just trying to get across a wholly Chinese-created concept about this gathering, but how is it possible there can be a once-every-five-year meeting held for the third time since 2022?

So orderly. So totally not a corrupt party.

To answer myself, it seems this "third plenum" is essentially just part 3 of a larger policy meeting which is held every 5 years.

Do you support communist China?

He does. Funnily enough he refuses to live under their rule though

"epoch-making"

It will be by default.

The first epoch was securing China against foreign encroachment. The second was Mao's insane Great Leap Forward, followed by a third trying to recover from that. The fourth was Mao's insane Cultural Revolution, which only ended with his death in 1976. The fifth was trying to recover from that, which resulted in the sixth, the dictatorship of Xi Jinping.

But Xi has made a devil's bargain: as long as the CCP showed results in improved living standards, the people would not involve themselves in the rule of the country. Clearly, the CCP is no longer able to fulfil its side of the bargain. That leaves the people free to do as they wish.

Desperate times in China, beset with so many challenges with no recourse. It is indeed "epoch-making."

China is broke, Xi reversed the rising middle class economic prosperity and made them poor. The country is aging and the young people are out of work. The CCP is doing nothing but building a military totalitarian society because Xi knows at some point the people will rise up against him. If there is not an attempt to take him out the military will move him out. The rich is fleeing the country the CCP is taking everything the people own at will, most of those in power family have left the country even Xi own family does not live in China they live abroad in Singapore, Canada, the US and yes Japan. The CCP print money with double serial numbers and limit the amount of money people can transfer out. Its just a matter of time the people get tired and fight back.

The Chinese economy is only growing at 4.7% growth this quarter amidst USA and now EU economic warfare. Japan scoffs at an economic growth rate only .... (calculating) roughly 500% higher than that of itself.

It needs to grow by 3x, though to equal the prosperity of the US, and we already had an article today about the elder apocalypse that will prevent that.

Why "so-called"?

“China's ruling Communist Party commenced its so-called third plenum on Monday,”

Whether you see eye to eye with the CCP or not, they held their third plenum.

Which CCP leader will Xi have "escorted out" who is die in 3-6 months and have their name wiped from the Chinese internet?

The Chinese Govt published GDP is always a bit of a joke to the rest of the world. It has always been a made-up number.
